Song Yu momentarily became flooded in bitterness. She spoke up to Ling Wang in a chilly tone, "Ling Wang, I will not sit still anymore…this time, my daughter was hurt what about next time?"

She then hung up the phone and stayed still for a good while.

Ling Wang who had just been given a warning shuddered slightly because he knew what Song Yu was actually capable of.

Song Yu looked out of the window when she heard the sound of a car. She saw Ling Fen get out of the car and a strange man sitting on the driver's seat.

When he saw Chen Li's face, her eyes which had become slightly warmer became chilly again.

She made her way down and opened the door just as Ling Fen was climbing up the steps.

"Xiao Fen…are you alright?" She asked worriedly when she saw the bandage covering Ling Fen's hand. Gong Xu had also gotten out worriedly.

"Are you alright?" he asked worriedly.

Ling Fen smiled while she stood in front of them, "I am fine, it's just a small burn,"

She even wiggled her hands in the air to show that it was okay.

"BURN?"

Gong Xu shouted while experimenting her hand. In his mind he already knew who it was that could do something like this.

"It was Ling Wen, wasn't it?" he asked angrily.

Ling Fen looked at him and wondered just how guess could be spot on.

Song Yu was looking at the car which was now leaving and she now saw Chen Li's face clearly.

"Is he your boyfriend?" Song Yu asked once more and Ling Fen turned crimson.

"No mum that is a friend of my boss. He was the one who helped me back then." She explained while fumbling with words.

"Besides, even if I got a boyfriend it will not be him." She assured while Song Yu just nodded. It was even better if she could not come into contact with that person anymore.

If she was not wrong, that man had to be the son of that old man Chen Ximing.

In this life, there was no person she disliked the way she did that old man. If it were not for the intervention of their families, she would have even killed him back then and now his son was showing up at her door so casually, the hatred in her heart grew even more.
