You were the one who opposed him

COINCIDENTAL MEETING BETWEEN RONG LI AND MO JIAMU

Mo Jiamu looked up, the killing intent in his eyes not receding in the littlest of bit. He did not speak but Rong Li was getting impatient.

He suddenly reached out his hand to the other, his intention clear. He wanted to lift the other up.

Mo Jiamu's killing intent vanished without a trace and all that was left was confusion. He stared at that hand wondering whether to take it or not.

Mo Jiamu was not treated well by others so he did not know what was genuine or what was not; he was contemplating whether that hand was held out to mock him or to help him up.

This scene was actually the turning point between the two characters. Mo Jiamu was originally not meant to cross paths with the male lead at all but after some coincidental meeting, they crossed paths with Rong Li offering his hand to the other.

Xia Ming was almost lost in thought. He knew that Gong Xu's acting abilities were good just based on how Qiao Zilan praised him back then but to actually see how good he was with his own eyes, it was still shocking to him.

Gong Xu had the ability to change a scene just based on his eyes alone.

He could move from looking at you as if he wanted to kill you to looking at you as if you were a bosom friend in a single second. Not many people possessed this type of ability.

Gong Xu had not done anything, he had simply let his eyes speak for him. Qiao Zilan had previously described him as a gem. Xia Ming also nodded, he was a gem indeed.

The scene continued. Rong Li was getting impatient that he was being ignored, "Take it and climb up, the sun might make you sick,"

Mo Jiamu looked up to him, "Why?" he asked after a long time.

What he wanted to ask was why the other had offered his hand to him. He was known by many people and was equally ignored by the same people yet this man standing in front of him did not ignore him, he even offered his hand to him.

Mo Jiamu did not take that hand which made Rong Li angry. He walked back to his car and ordered the driver to speed away.

The fleet of cars which had abruptly come to a halt started moving again, sending dust flying everywhere. Some of the dust got to Mo Jiamu's clothes.

He stood up from where he was sleeping and watched the cars disappear. He lightly dusted his clothes and then a rare smile blossomed on his lips.

"CUT!" Director Qiao Zilan yelled through the speakers.

"Well done everyone. Gong Xu, that was good acting…your actions were just right. Little Xia, I have nothing to say to you but good job both of you," he said some more praises before he left.

The people who were watching the scene display were all amazed by Gong Xu's acting. They had previously thought that because he was a rookie, he would make many mistakes but who knew that he would act so well with top star Xia Ming.

One of the investors who was nearby went over to Qiao Zilan, "Old Qiao, that young man you chose is really something," he praised tactfully.

He was one of the people who had rejected the idea of an unknown person being part of such a large scale production.

Qiao Zilan sneered when he heard him. He wanted to tell him, "Weren't you the one who opposed him the most?" but his mouth said different words, "What did I tell you old Lan, that boy is indeed a gem."

Lan Ru nodded, "Then he has landed in good hands since he was found by you," he praised.

Qiao Zilan simply smiled and said nothing more. He walked over and reviewed the footage. Once he found it perfect, he walked over to Li Meilin to give instructions because the next test shot was hers.

Xia Ming walked over to remove his make-up and once he was done, he looked around to see where Gong Xu was. He did not know the reason why but the other gave him a good feeling.

Once he spotted him, he skipped over to him and whispered so other people would not hear, "So…you said you were adopted?"

Gong Xu "…"
