Worst of all, she had a secret that could not only change her fate but the fate of both the Seelie and Unseelie realms, a secret that she needed to keep hidden.

Academy of Immortals

Roselyn let out a painful grunt right before she noticed another vine heading straight toward her with no mercy. She cursed under her breath and despite the pain raging through her shoulder, she called on her Spirit powers to create a shield around her.

Since her energy level had depleted a lot, she was unable to cast a powerful shield but it was still enough to get her some much-needed time. The vine hit against the shield with so much force that even Roselyn staggered on her feet before finally grabbing onto the banister and finding balance. She was about to heal her throbbing shoulder when she noticed that several more of the vines had started attacking the shield and with even more fierceness.

"For stars sake!" She muttered as she felt the tremors as the vines started hitting the shield non-stop as if determined to crush it along with her.
