Chapter 7- 4ever Daddy’s Princess

Chapter 7

As Alice's mind continued to wonder in shock, her perturbed family watched as the bright pink membrane like aura slowly vanished upon her skin. Calum quickly arose from his seat as he watched his wife's partner Espeon cuddle his daughter.

"Everyone else saw that right?" he asked to confirm his sanity. Three heads nodded in confirmation while their faces displayed clear uncertainty. "Good… good, so I'm not mad…" he replied.

Corey looked over to his parents, clearly reading the mood he spoke his thoughts. "So, were keeping this to ourselves, right?" he asked with slight worry in his eyes. "Don't get me wrong, I think the times we live in are quite progressive… but I don't think the world is ready for a glowing baby."

As Calvin listened to his elder brothers worry, his body slowly began to reanimate as his hands and eyes assessed his adorable little sisters' body to confirm she was okay. Disregarding the baffled look on the baby's face, Calvin deemed her to be ok as he arose from his chair.

"Mom?" asked Calvin, "Corey's right, we have t keep quiet about this. Something is clearly different about Alice, and I don't want anything to happen to her." He finished as his face now mirrored his elder brothers worry.

"That goes without saying." Amelia replied. "I won't let anything happen to my little girl." She said fiercely. "My only hope is that this will not happen again during our stay in the hospital as I recuperate."

Looking to his wife, Calum smiled. "I think it will be ok. From this previous experience, I think it may have something to do with Espeon, or just Pokémon all together. So, I think if we keep her Pokémon free during her stay here, we should be ok."

Corey nodded. "That sounds like our best play. So, until we can figure out if this glowing thing is harmful to her, Alice will have to abstain from all contact with Pokémon. He finished as be bent down to grab Espeon, who for some odd reason couldn't stay away from the girl.

Three heads nodded in unison as they confirmed this to be the first of many secret Blake Family missions.

And with the ever-clear distain of Alice, they managed this for the two long and excruciating weeks of postpartum recovery. For poor sweet Alice, this was utter torture. Unknown to her family, that pink aura, that Alice now knew was her Empathy spirit had formed an instant bond between her and Espeon. She could feel the happiness Espeon radiated from her very touch, the love that burned from the little Pokémon towards her mother across the room. To be able to not only sense it but share as well was quite the exhilaration for her.

Over the two weeks of withdrawal Alice had many conversations with Mira as she learned quite a bit about her new self and her system.

'So Mira, after having activated one of my gifts have you figured out the other two?' asked Alice. Having nothing else to do but be spoiled rotten by her family every waking moment, as they took shifts to keep her isolated from any contact from Pokémon of any kind.

*Yes Master. After running some searches using the internet database from your previous world to compare similar incidents in fictional story's, and your own experience saved within your memory banks, I'm 97.6% sure I have uncovered it. *

'… Go On...' Alice egged on, clear excitement in her thoughts.

*It would appear the requirements needed to activate your gifts is thru the bonding of you and Pokémon. But not just any Pokémon, but specific ones to say the least. Master was previously blessed by the Avatars of three different elements from the 'Galaxy of Elements'. Elements that seem to match up with three of the eighteen typing's of Pokémon in this world. *

'Interesting theory Mira, go on.' Alice replied.

*Yes Master. Comparing the Pokémon types to the Planets from the 'Galaxy of Elements', and the corresponding color arrangements and symbols within there cores. I have confirmed that master's gifts have something to do with the Dragon, Psychic, and Water type Pokémon. *

Nodding her head in confirmation as she lay within her mother's embrace attempting to ignore the fact that she was currently being breast fed, Alice encouraged Mira to continue.

*Your interaction with Espeon confirmed that physical contact is needed to establish the bond and activate the ability. On the down , I'm 99% sure the action requires a specific Pokémon's connection to activate the corresponding gift. I can only establish the complete method after confirming the activation process of your second gift. *

Alice belched and sighed after being burped by her mother in clear annoyance of Mira's explanation. 'Figures it wouldn't be that easy.' She thought as she slowly began closing her eyes in clear exhaustion. 'I should probably be okay seeing as I've already activated one gift. Probably the most useful of them all for me in my current predicament. I'm pretty sure 'Devils Luck' Should work infinite times better then that damn 'Plot Armor'.

Sleeping through the entire process of discharge, and her ride home, Alice awoke to a new sight. Opening her eyes Alice noticed the wooden bar like walls around her. Fully awake now, she realized she was in a bedroom. But not just any bedroom, the way the room was set up, this room was most definitely hers. Outside of the crib that she lay in was what Alice considered baby heaven. Baby toys littered the floor, a changing table against the wall with a dresser next to it. A flat screen tv hung against the wall as a wooden rocking chair sat upon a bright pink rug below it. A walker in the shape of a Pokémon that Alice later learned was a Bewear, while an Eevee plush lay in the crib with her and a Jirachi figurine hung above her as it glowed.

As Alice continued to assess the setup of the room, she noticed as the bedroom door crept open. Peering his head into the room, Alice noticed her curious brother Calvin peeking in. Seeing his baby sister awake Calvin entered the room with a smile on his face.

"Good Morning!" Calvin stated as he made his way to the crib and turned off the Jirachi night light. To say that Alice was ecstatic to see him was an understatement. Seeing his sweet little sister grinning and reaching for him with her stubby little arms, Calvin's corresponding smile seemed to stretch from ear to ear.

"Time for Breakfast Princess" he said as held her. Walking out of the room with her brother, Alice finally got a look at the house she would be living in. Listening to her brother as he pointed out different points of the house as they made their way to their mother, she absorbed his words like a sponge.

After descending the stairs and entering the kitchen, Alice was greeted by the faces of the rest of her family. She noticed her father sitting at the dining table, back facing her as he scrolled thru an article on a very futuristic looking laptop. Her mother seemed to be unloading food onto a plate as she finished packing what appeared to be a school lunch. Finally, she spotted Corey as he watched her in anticipation, eyes clinging on to his mother's Espeon, who now seemed to be trying to make her way to Alice.

During the Night as Alice slept, her family had a discussion. Wanting to confirm what they had all seen two weeks ago, and make sure the glow was not harming her, they decided it was time to introduce Alice to some of the family Pokémon. As a house full of Pokémon trainers and the like, it was impossible to avoid the subject. So, in a moment of gung-ho, it was decided that instead of doing things slowly, they would just rip the bandage off.

As Calving sat down in a chair while he still held Alice, the child in question noticed the subtle interaction between her family's eyes that seemed to converge amongst each other.

'They are clearly waiting for another display of a light show.' Alice thought. 'It would probably be best I not activate my Spirit until I manage to get full control of it.' She continued. After she noticed the resolution within her family's eyes, she watched as Corey released his hold on Espeon.

Feeling her freedom once more, Espeon quickly made her way over as she began to rub her head up against Alice in satisfaction, a slight purring sound emitting from her.

Seeing the lack of reaction from Alice, her family all sighed in relief. Noticing their reactions, Alice could only smile and as she petted the loving Espeon before her. Unbeknownst to her a slight pink ting of light emanated from her palm as it rests against the Pokémon.

"Well, I should get to Pallet Town," Sayed Corey as he stood, grabbing the satchel off the chair behind him. "Have to help Professor Oak with the new Trainers that are coming in today, which includes a certain little brother of mine." He finished as he displayed a toothy grin at the boy in question.

Calvin was reminded of his previous excitement when he heard this. After finishing his last day at the Pokémon Academy today, his class would be headed to Professor Oaks Pokémon Lab to receive their first Pokémon partner. Calvin could have received his partner already, had he wanted to. His parent's partner's Espeon and Umbreon had an egg a year ago and his parents had asked if he wanted it. He of course declined. As Calvin was a person who believed in self-sufficiency, he wanted to start his journey like all the other trainers before him. Of course, he would wait a couple months before setting off like his friends, being the doting big brother that he was, he decided to have some bonding time with his baby sister before departing.

Noticing his brother leave for his internship, Calvin got up as well. "I should head out as well he stated, as he kissed Alice on her forehead, causing a giggle from her. He handed her over to his mother as his parents wished him good luck.

Noticing the sad look on his wife's face, Calum got up from his seat as he kissed her on the cheek. "They grow up so fast." he said. Attention averting to his daughter as he rubs her head. "You stay as daddy's little angel forever okay?" he asked in his baby voice.

Seeing her baby grin at her childish father as if she understood, Amelia couldn't help the smiled that seemed to manifest upon her face.
