Wow, that sleep felt nice! I need to do that more often! Seriously, I feel so invigorated! Only problem is I just want to go back to sleep!
I hoist myself up and shake a little, trying to get rid of the residual sleepiness. It's a new day, and regardless of how I feel, the work I have won't do itself.
So, Jeremy, what's my current HP?
[HP: 65/100]
Hmm. Well, now that I think about it, I do still ache a little. I also get the sense that I overloaded some organs back in that fight. Truly, I'm not strong enough to harness that explosion or whatever casually. Guess that means I can't work on my centipede quest for now. With that last example leaving a mark in my mind, I definitely don't want to fight a squad of acid centipedes without full health. And more preparation. I seem to be lacking in that regard. Oh well, since I can't eat centipedes, what am I going to do today?
Now that I think back, or just think about it in general, I haven't done much since I got here. Besides eating and killing, I've only tried to improve. I don't even know how long it's been since I got here. I lost count of the days a little bit ago and I was too busy to care.
Hmm, I mean, my base could be improved. Currently, I can only describe it as a dome. or a beehive, since I have four different exit or entry points. Well that was settled quickly. I guess I'll improve my base, but what should I do? Hmm, maybe I could add rooms? Like a storage room, a dump room(don't ask), a sleeping room, and a common room. Well then. I seem to have surprised myself with how many of the random ideas in my head are useful.
So then the current room will be the common room, as well as the only one that leaves the base. For this one, all I need to do is size it up a bit, and maybe add a perch to chill on when I don't want to sleep. After that, on the far end of the common room away from the exit, will be the entrances to the other rooms. On the right will be the dump room. It's going to be decently far away from the other rooms as well. In the middle I'll put the sleeping room, just to make it easier to get to after a long day. This room I want to be cozy, around the current size of the current room, if not smaller. For a bed, I'll depress the floor to create an inlaid bed. Finally, the storage room is a lot easier. It'll be the biggest room, and the longest as well. On top of that, I'll make it rectangular with pillars. Ok, I take that back, it won't be any easier. Still, because I plan to stay here for a while I need to have some standard. I don't want to constantly renovate my base, that wastes too much time.
----
With everything planned out in my head, and also temporarily drawn in the common room, I get to work, starting with widening the common room. Then, with that done, I tunnel upwards and redo the ceiling, making the dome steeper, and more like a certain chocolate teardrop candy than a dome. After making it bigger, I then use the dirt from the ceiling and make a pedestal, making sure to pad it with the softest dirt. I even made it softer just to be safe. There, the common room is done!
The obvious next room to work on is the dump area. For the tunnel, I make it decently wide and extremely long. I may need to move a lot of stuff there, but I don't want to smell any possible odors from anything I dump in there. The tunnel alone took a decent chunk of my time. For the room itself though, it just had to be big enough. That was no problem. I also packed the dirt around the walls, just to make sure nothing got in them. Weird, I know. I think I might be a germaphobe. Ha, a germaphobe worm, what a joke. And an earthworm descendant as well. Ha.
----
Anyway, I'm halfway done! I'm hungry though. Jeremy! HP check!
[HP: 73/100]
Good enough. I'll just have to hunt a loner centipede. Oh well, let's go!
I worm my way back to the acid centipede base, or the gate to it I guess. After like five minutes of watching I find a weak centipede take off on its own. It's only level six. What a light lunch! Oh well, I can't be picky.
---
Well, that was uneventful. I just insta-killed the poor lunch, it didn't even get to fight back. Am I becoming more bloodthirsty? Surely not. Anyway, time to work on the last two rooms.
----
With lunch out of the way, and my hunger somewhat sated, I start on the sleeping room. As it's the smallest one, Most of my work actually goes into the bed. I don't know why I decided to put into the floor, but now that I have I will. I have to solidify the rest of the floor though. Which isn't particularly bad, I guess it does make the bed seem softer. I then spend some time touching up the room in general, making some corners stiffer and some spots softer, overall just trying to make it comfortable to sleep in. It needs to be perfect, and therefore is the room I refuse to compromise on. Of course, as a result, I'm forced to spend more time on it than I anticipated.
Finally, the storage room. I spend quite a while on this one, simply making the room takes a long time. I even made the room collapse at one point! Though to be fair that was a complete accident so I have to add more pillars. So, after around five more hours of work on the storage room alone, I finally finish my home base.
----
Ah, finally! That took forever! I don't even know how I was able to do all of this in one day, I'm confused even up to now. Oh well, starting from the common room all the way back, I'm completely satisfied with my newly renovated home. From the beautiful contours of the teardrop ceiling in the common room to the exquisitely crafted and designed pillars in the storage room, I've put my a game in the entire time. And let's not even get into the bedroom. I never expected pillars to take up so much time, and the room collapsing wasn't a nice surprise, though I was startled.
Phew, time to go to sleep though. I've got a big day tomorrow, making up for today on that quest and all. Not that it matters, I'm sure I've got it.
YAWN!
Hup! I'm off to bed. To a good tomorrow!
