"Welcome, Host"
*****
'Hmmm? Where... am I?' These were Morgan's first thoughts as he regained his consciousness, his vision still blurry. Not yet recovered from his blurry vision, a figure suddenly appeared in front of him.
"Brother, brother?" A feminine young voice sounded through Morgan's ears. Until finally, his vision became clear and a figure of a young girl unfolded before him. The girl was looking at him with a worried look. She then spoke again...
"Are you alright brother?" She asked in a worried tone. The young girl had a long and straight black hair which is being held by an ornamental hairpin, mesmerising eyes with golden pupils, exceptionally cute face, smooth and white skin, and an undeveloped body. She also looked like she is 14-15 years of age and also had a rather small height unbefitting of her age. She wore a long white robe on top of a normal martial artist's combat suit. The robe had different golden patterned stitches all over it and on the right chest part is a crest bearing a print of a coiling golden dragon. And on her waist is a one-handed straightsword inside it's sheath. While behind her is a what seemed to be her servant, due to the maid outfit she is wearing.
"Yeah, I-I'm all right." Morgan answered as he massaged his glabella. This time, just after recovering from the blurry vision, he felt extremely dizzy.
"If you say so..." The other party said with doubtful eyes. You say you're fine but you rub your glabella just right after you say so, who would you expect to believe you?
"But you had a long journey so you must be tired, you should rest for now." She added, with a worried look drawn all over her face.
"Ye-yeah, I guess I'll go no-" Morgan is about to leave when he is stopped and interrupted by the embrace of the other party.
"It's good to see you again, brother." The sad but also satisfied sentence was very clear when it entered Morgan's ears.
'I don't even know who you are!' These were the only thoughts shouting inside Morgan's mind which is currently in a state of extreme haze. But can only reply with;
"Ye-yeah, me too." Morgan pushed the words out of his mouth before hugging the other party lightly.
After a few seconds of hugging, the young girl escaped from his grasps before saying;
Sniff..."I guess I'll get going now, you should rest already. I'll see you tomorrow." The young girl said as she wiped off several visible tears from her face before returning to her original and normal cheerful self. After that, she left and waved to Morgan goodbye, while the servant behind her bowed to Morgan before following her. Morgan could only stare at their back views while still being caught in a haze.
Only when the young girl left, did Morgan notice his surroundings. He seemed to be inside a mansion or castle, and a very big one at that. He's near two, big wooden doors with many intricate carving designs on it. Also, due to it being open, Morgan could see the night sky outside, and beneath it is a mesmerising frontyard flower garden. The doors looked new and polished, actually, everything looked new and polished, from the smooth gray walls, to the two grand staircases opposite to the doors. There are also occasional sight of white banners hung on the wall bearing the same coiling golden dragon crest from the young girl earlier. And coupled with the white marble floor and long red pathway carpets that leads to various doors, Morgan couldn't help but be caught in a stupor from this grand place.
But after a few seconds of amazement, Morgan decided to get to the bottom of this situation. And so, he moved and picked a random red carpet path to follow, which led him to the second floor.
On his journey, he would sometimes walk past or meet maids, butlers, servants or guards who would only bow to him as soon as they see him. After navigating through the gigantic place, Morgan walk past a door that caught his attention. Even though the door was just exactly as every each door he went past earlier, a strong urge to open it flooded his body, in which he did. What unfolded before him when he opened the door was a familiar, yet foreign place.
It's his bedroom, and even though Morgan knows that this isn't actually his bedroom, he had a strong feeling of ownership to this room.
Inside is a king-sized bed, a night stand on it's left, a wardrobe on the right, a big L-shaped bookshelf, and a door that leads to the bathroom. Although there aren't many things inside the room, all of them however, looked grand and luxurious.
Morgan closed the door and finally, his calm demeanor broke.
'Heck! Where the hell am I? What is this place all about?' He thought as he looked left and right, he even opened the bathroom and checked if someone is inside. After seeing no one there beside him, Morgan sat on the bed.
'Oh god, please tell me where the hell I am right now.' He thought as he heaved a sigh of depression.
'Ding! You are currently inside the Glorious Dragon Sect's Main Building. It is located in Pierre Kingdom, Continent of Aria." An adult female voice sounded inside Morgan's head.
"Who-who's speaking!?" Morgan said in an alarmed tone as he once again looked left and right.
"It is the system which is attached to your soul before you got reincarnated." The system replied.
"System? Wait, reincar-" But before Morgan could finish his words, memories of his old life's tragedy gushed inside his head.

Earlier
On Earth, Morgan was a student who lived alone on his own condominium which was bought by his parents for it was near his university. But one day, a condominium unit near his set ablaze, igniting the whole building on fire. To Morgan's luck, he was not inside the building when the accident happened. And when he came back, the whole building was already engulfed in flames. Although he lost his home, Morgan was still happy that he was safe. But as he watched his home be eaten by the raging inferno, he heard a commotion that turned his life upside down.
"My, what do we have here? Oh, it's Mrs. Johnson, my unit neighbor." He muttered to himself as he saw the source of the ruckus. A crying middle-aged lady being restrained by two policemen.
"My daughter is still inside our unit!!" Mrs. Johnson wailed as she struggled from the grasp of the two policemen.
'Wait, what!?' At that moment, Morgan felt a chill run down his spine, his groceries slipped from his grasp, making them drop to the ground. And then his mind went blank, he couldn't hear anything, his eyes were only focused on one thing as he unconsciously dashed to the direction of the scorching building.

Inside The Burning Building, Third Floor.
"Maamaaaa! Where-sob... are you!?" Wailed a little girl, as she crawled on the ground. It was Mrs. Johnson's daughter.
Crash..."Aaaahhh!" The little girl screamed to the top of her lungs as a part of the ceiling fell right next to her, but didn't hit her. Seeing that the debris didn't hit her, the little girl continued to crawl and cry.
"Aha! There you are!" After a few minutes of navigation, Morgan finally found the little girl. His look is very different now from when he entered the building. He has black marks all over his body, coupled by scrapes and scratches too.
His clothes didn't fare any better, aside from the black marks, the lower part of Morgan's shirt was torn, revealing his belly button. Evidently enough, the torn part of his shirt is wrapped around his face.
"Bi-big brother... Morgan?" The little girl asked. At first she didn't notice who the person was, due to the cloth wrapped around Morgan's nose down to the chin. But when she heard the voice, she immediately knew who it was.
"Don't worry, you'll be fine now." Morgan said while smiling as he went over to the girl. He then faced on his back and squatted a bit. Before saying:
"Here, let's get out of here." With a cheerful and comforting tone.
The little girl understood what Morgan meant and she immediately hopped onto the other party's back, Morgan then said:
"Here, take this and wrap it around your mouth up to your nose." He removed the wet cloth on his face and handed it over to the little girl. The other party then took the cloth and obediently did what Morgan instructed her to.

Outside The Burning Building
A teen boy emerged from the now black cloud surrounded building, he was carrying a little girl on his back. His movements was that of a drunk person. The fireman captain noticed this and roared:
"Get me those two here! And call the medic!" Hearing this, the other firemen hurriedly followed their captain's orders. But before the firemen and medic reached the duo, Morgan collapsed, with no signs of movements from him nor from the little girl.
Once the firemen and medic got close, they immediately checked the duo's vitals. The medic first checked the little girl's.
"She's alive! Respirator!" He shouted as he moved hurriedly next to Morgan.
"How is he?" The captain asked as he arrived with Mrs. Johnson.
"De... deceased. Time of dea..."The medic stated while nodding in disappointment. Upon hearing this, the now calmed Mrs. Johnson started to cry again. And the captain could only heave a sigh of disappointment, before saying:
"We lost a great man today."
And thus, the deeds of Morgan was deemed valiant and heroic by the masses. So valiant and heroic however, that even the gods themselves were moved. Making them immediately approve Morgan's reincarnation and giving him some gifts along with it. A system that will aid him to get to the top of the path he chooses.

Author's Notes
Hey guys! CaptainPickles here!
I actually just edited this chapter, so I decided to put an author's note. I am actually a meticulous and a perfectionist writer so I edit a lot. Because when I don't, my mind would kill me. So yeah, I wish you guys enjoy reading this because it's a good story. This is my first novel actually, well technically not but, yeah. So I would love it if you guys give me some pointers and review on this novel. I'm still an unprofessional and novice writer after all. So I hope you enjoy the novel and I just wish that you guys stick with it even though I suck at publishing consistent and multiple chapters. So yeah thanks!
