Katie is just your typical high school student; gets good grades, has a best friend, crushes on guys, etc. Chance has been her crush since freshman year and he has never noticed her, until one day when Katie takes a leap of faith and finally gets the courage to talk to him. The two high schoolers don’t think that a strong friendship, let alone a relationship is possible, until they are proven wrong. Katie’s best friend Ruby makes sure that Katie doesn’t screw anything up during their journey while also just being there for her. Will Katie and Colton be endgame or will their adventure get stopped in its tracks while it’s just begun?

A Romance Through Different Perspectives

"He called me over to him? Why would he do that?" Katie thought to herself. As she walked to where Chance  was standing, Katie was beginning to get nervous and started talking to herself. "Oh my gosh, how handsome is he? I hope I don't make a fool of myself. Okay, just pull it together.


     "Hey Katie! How's it goin'?" Chance asked. He placed his arm up against the lockers and leaned against them. 


     "Good." There was a quick pause between the two. "Hey Katie, so, the carnival is coming up this Saturday and I, I uh, was wondering..."Just then, Katie interrupted. 


     "Yes what?" Chance said confused. 


     "Yes, I'd love to go to the carnival with you."


     "Really? Sweet. So, pick you up around 5?"


    "Yeah, sure!" Katie exclaimed. She was head-over-heels over this. Could the boy that she has liked for all these years really be asking her out?!


    "Cool! See you then! Have a wonderful rest of your day!"


    "Yeah, you too! Bye!" Katie turned around and saw Ruby standing on the other side of the hall. Her jaw had been dropped. Katie began to smile and scream in her head. 


     "WHAT. WAS. THAT?!" Ruby exclaimed as her and Katie walked beside each other down the hall. 


     "Oh, ya know, Chance LITERALLY JUST asked me out!"Just then, the bell rang. "I have to go home. Have a good night..I'll see you tomorrow!" Katie said. 


     "See ya!" And Katie was on her way back home.
