She neither agreed nor disagreed, but the customs always took the girl's silence as 'yes.' They just presented it as if she was shy and went ahead with the plan without her approval. It was sad, but I expected nothing less from a society where classes and ranks are a critical aspect of daily lives. If one tries to tell them that their actions are stupid, the truth will only be seen as an unpopular opinion, or in the worse case, it would simply be taken as treason.
