RED LIGHT THEN BLACKNESS

John turned back hurriedly and stuffed his coins down the right pocket of his shorts. But then as if his luck could not get any better that night, he realized that there was actually a hole at the bottom of his pocket, and before he could do anything about it, the coins had already slid out and fell and rolled on the ground.

"Darn it! Holed pockets as always!"

He bent down as he muttered a frustrated curse while at the same time picking the fallen coins one by one from the dirt and the pebbles.

John was just about to stand up after picking the rest of the coins but when he tried to look up, he was greeted by the sight of a big rock instead.

It was descending so fast as if it was from the night sky heading down straight to his face, and before he knew it, he already felt a blunt force hitting him squarely at his right head.
