Rainbow stood up a little wobbly and realised how much she'd drank. She checked she had her phone and ID and then left.
A blast of cold air hit her as she left the building and she realised she probably should have brought a jumper. She wrapped her arms around herself and started the long and lonely walk back to school. She was worrying about Linda being left behind when a car horn suddenly blared at her, causing her to jump.
An expensive looking car pulled up next to her. "Great." She muttered under her breath. An older guy got out of the car and Rainbow began to walk again.
"Hey you!" He shouted. He had a familiar voice but she couldn't place where she'd heard it before. "You look cold, do you want a ride home?" He asked her. There was something about the way he said it that made Rainbow skeptical.
"Nope! I'm good!" She shouted back and continued walking. She sped up slightly as the guys started following her in their car. She shivered violently again. She didn't know what she would do if they caught her, she started planning scenarios and responses when they started shouting to her again. She sped up but realised that she wouldn't get away from them on foot like this. Then she suddenly started running in the opposite direction. She heard the guys cursing and jeering behind her but she just kept running.
She reached the town, breathless, and wandered the empty streets. She was alone, tired, cold and scared. Rainbow felt tears pricking her eyes and quickly brushed them away. What was she going to do?
