Gary had to have a teacher sitting with him at break, lunch and dinner. He hated how he was being treated like a child, the other students mocked him too. The headteacher said that "if [Gary] acted like a child, he would be treated like one too."
It was a couple of days after the 'incident' and Ruby came up to Gary. "Hey GS!" She smiled "I've been looking for you everywhere!" She announced. Gary frowned.
"Why didn't you tell the head that I didn't start the food fight, you know I'm innocent!" Gary lashed out. Ruby frowned, then she put her hand on his shoulder.
"I didn't know who started it. It could've been you." She pouted. He gave her a look. "Don't be bitter." She snapped harshly. He gazed at her kind of confused. "Look, I'm having a party, Friday night, with a couple of friends." She moved her hand to his chest. "You can come if you want." She whispered and batted her eyelashes. He smiled.
"Thanks but I don't really do parties." Gary replied. Ruby pouted and gazed into his bluish-green eyes.
"Kennie won't be there. He's on a fishing trip with his father." She persuaded. Kennie was her nickname for Kenneth, it seemed like she never actually used the person's name. "Just... Think about it... ok?" She asked pulling back from him.
"Okay." Gary replied, he'd ran out of words to say again. He always got tongue-tied when he was with her.
