Elle, Andrew and Karen went to the cafeteria for their lunch. It was located on the ground floor of Joaquin building. Many students queued to buy their food. As soon as they entered, some students looked at them especially at Elle like they saw an actress even she just wore blue pants, white collared shirt and a Chuck Taylor shoes. She just let her hair loose. And anyone who could see her would think she was an actress. But she was just by herself, not minding them. The three of them queued. They went to the nearest table by the counter and started eating their chosen combo meals. "Elle, your debut is next month," Andrew suddenly said while chewing a bit of his cheese burger. "I know, Drew." She replied, smiling. "What's the plan? I'll be one of your eighteen roses, Elle." He said in a serious tone. "Of course, Drew," she replied, smiling. Elle drank her iced tea afterwards. "Am I invited too?" Karen asked shyly. "Yes, you are, Karen. I'll be inviting some of our Grade 10 classmates if they're still here in Dale City. Some will be our Freshman classmates and James too," Elle said. "Actually, last week, Mom mentioned about my birthday. She and Dad already settled it. They said it's up to me who will be my eighteen candles, eighteen treasures and eighteen roses. I'm giving them the list by weekend." Elle said, smiling. "I'm excited!" Karen said. "First time for me to attend a debut birthday," she added, smiling. "Whoah you're more excited than me! As far as I remember, you'll be turning eighteen this December, right Karen?" Elle asked. "Yup, on twelfth," she replied. "You'll be one of my eighteen treasures, Karen." Elle said, smiling sweetly. "Thank you, Elle!" Karen replied, smiling broadly.
They finished their lunch. After that, they walked slowly, had conversations while walking toward the Library. Their next class was around two o'clock and they had long free time to read.
