6.) I hope he doesn’t remember this.

A day later at 11:15

"Why did you want me to come with you?" Nathan said as we walked towards the soccer field.

"I need someone to practice with. And your all I got at the moment."

"What about your friends from your other soccer team. Wouldn't they be better?" He asked.

"Of course they'd be better." I said with a smile. "But I lost their contact info when I got a new phone. Whoops!"

"Ohh. Is that why you only bother me? Because you don't have any friends?"

I hit him with my elbow and said, "Hey I have many friends. There just out of your league so you don't know them."

"Ouch!" He said putting his hand on his heart as if he was hurt by what I said.

"Alright, Nate, you ready to get beat by the champion?"

"Where is he?" He said putting his hand over his eyes while scanning the field.

"Hey!" I said throwing the ball at him. "Your lookin at him."

"Hehe!!"

After 30 min of practicing

"Dang!! You weren't joking when you said you were the champion. I'm beat." He said laying on the ground closing his eyes.

"Told you so. I'm the best." I said sitting down next to him.

"How did you get so fast anyway you never exercise?" He asked, eyes still closed.

"What? I exercise all the time. You just never do it with me to notice." I said hitting his shoulder.

"AHH!" He said getting up super fast and taking two steps back

"What?" I asked

"Abuse!" He yelled running away.

"Hahah!" I said.

While Nate was running back I heard from behind me someone say "you know you shouldn't abuse your friend."

I turned around to see the girl I saw yesterday standing, looking at me.

"Friends are very important." She said with a smile.

"Not my friend." I said joking. Which made her giggle.

"Are you trying out for the soccer team this year?" She asked.

"Yeah. I've been practicing for a while."

"I saw."

"You did?" I asked.

"I was walking by with my sister and she had to go to the bathroom. And I saw you so I thought I'd say hi! So hi!"

"Haha, hey" I said putting my hand on the back of my head again. This girl is so cool. As I was about to say something Nate came up behind me, putting his arm on my shoulder and saying "Hey I'm Nathan. Nate for short."

"Ohh Hey, I'm" before she could finish

Her sister yelled from a distance "hey come on Moms waiting for us."

"Ohh coming. Gotta go. See ya!!" She said waving her hand and leaving.

"By." I said.

When she left I hit Nate in the shoulder and said "what the heck I was talking to her! And you interrupted."

"I thought you could use a wing man." He said.

"No I was fine."

"Sorry" He said.

"It's fine. Thanks for tryna help." I said with a smile. "So, Nate wanna keep practicing?"

"Do I have to?" He asked.

"We haven't been practicing for that long. How are you so tired?"

"How are you not?"

"Probably because I'm in better shape than you." I said with a giggle.

"Why you!!" He said chasing me.

"Ahh!" I said dropping the ball in ground of me as if I was playing. As he chased me I pretended to play. He soon caught on and tried to take the ball away from me. I'm not gonna let him take this ball away from me. I need to go faster. He soon stopped and said "How are you so fast your not even breathing that hard?"

Ohh no was I going to fast. I better make it look like in having a hard time with this speed. I need to start breathing harder. "What are you talking about I'm a little tired. But I can't a ford to be tired I'm on a team." Hope he buys this clueless ack I have going.

"Ya, I'm probably just slow."

He actually wasn't that slow. I should be more careful around people. I shouldn't have let my guard down. I can't believe he noticed my change in speed. "What do you say we're done for today?" I asked.

"Sure." He responded.

I hope he doesn't remember this. I was going pretty fast and It seemed effortless. I can't believe I let this happen.

"I'm gonna head home see you tomorrow." I said leaving.

"Ya see you." He said getting up and heading towards his house that wasn't to far away.

As I walk home I couldn't help but think about what happened. Should I tell Peter, but I don't want to get scolded. He should probably know though. I don't know I'll think about it more.
