A gift- divorce

Andrea realized that she'll have to do a lot of groveling, but she was ready for it. She knew that if she wanted everything to go back to normal, she has to take the first step and the first step was to reconcile with her "dear Jennifer."

Andrea dialed the number and tried Jennifer's number once more.

"Hello", Jennifer answered.

"Jennifer, it's me, Andrea..." Andrea said in low voice.

"Oh, Her Highness...I have nothing to say to you," Jennifer said.

"Please Jennifer ...Don't say that. Look, I want to say Sorry. I apologize for everything..." Andrea was feeling guilty for whatever happened in the past.

"Did you apologize to my brother?"

"I tried but..." before Andrea could tell her the whole situation Jennifer interrupted her.

"Then try again... till then, don't try to contact me." Jennifer was about to cut the call but Andrea said "Jennifer, I'm in love with your brother and I need your help!!!" in one breath.

After that, the line went dead. Jennifer had disconnected the call.

"Hello, Jennifer...Jennifer...shit! Now, what do I do?" Andrea thought to herself, 'if I ever doubted that how Leo and Jennifer were siblings...now I just got the proof, both don't give me a chance to talk.'

Within the next half hour, a car came in full speed in Smith Manor. Even before the car could stop, an over-excited Jennifer rushed out and ran towards Andrea's room.

She saw Andrea in the corridor, she rushed towards her and hugged her whilst jumping up and down continually.

"I'm so happy Sister-in-law," she said repeatedly between each jump.

Andrea was a bit shocked and happy at the same time after seeing Jennifer like this. She didn't expect Jennifer will come to meet her after whatever happened, but now she was happy to get her dear friend back.

"What happened Jennifer...now you aren't calling me Her Highness or even by my name...now you are calling me sister-in-law," Andrea asked wanted to tease her little.

"You don't like it? When I called you Sister-in-law," Jennifer asked her, she knew Andrea was just teasing her.

"No..."Andrea replied.

They both giggle and hugged each other.

"So what's the problem? You said you need my help."

Andrea began telling Jennifer of all her failed attempts of confessing her love to Leo.

"Hmmm, let me think...," said Jennifer as she tapped her index finger on her cheek. "I have an idea," she suddenly announced happily.

"Brother is gone to City K and from there, he's going to another city, he had two meetings. Then he will go to see his hotel which was under construction. He told me that he'll be back in 10 days." Jennifer told Andrea Leo's schedule

"Jennifer, How do you know all of this?" Andrea asked she was curious as to when Jennifer left 6 months ago she didn't come back to Smith Manor after that and Andrea never heard about Jennifer whereabouts from Leo or anyone.

"Brother told me. We talk every day...sometimes twice or thrice a day." Jennifer said casually.

Andrea was happy that Jennifer was still in constant communication with Leo even after excusing herself from their lives.

"Mhmm...where was I? Oh yeah... brother will be back on the 25th. You can tell him, you love him on the 27th. It'll be the best gift you could give him." Jennifer thought it would be best if Andrea confesses her love on the 27th.

"Gift?..." she asked confused.

"Yeah! It's brother's birthday on the 27th."

Andrea had just realized that she knew nothing about Leo. She had no idea that in two weeks' time, it's his birthday. She hadn't a clue about his likes and dislikes. She decided that, by the time he'd return, she'd know every last detail about him.

Jennifer decided to stay with Andrea for the next 10 days. Andrea took this opportunity to find out everything about Leo; his favorite color, his favorite food, his favorite book, his favorite song, and his favorite movie. In between all of that; Andrea and Jennifer were planning a surprise party for him. Andrea wanted to gift something special to him, so almost every day she spent in doing shopping.

Andrea was unable to find the perfect gift for Leo. What do you gift someone that has everything? What do you gift a Prince that needs nothing? Andrea couldn't find anything suitable. Jennifer's suggestion was shot down by Andrea.

Andrea wasn't even too keen on a surprise party, which Jennifer was adamant about. It was the same thing she had given Damien and she didn't want to do the same thing which she has done with Damien. Leo was much, much more special than Damien.

The 10 days flew past fast.

Leo was back home on schedule. He was aware that his sister was back in the picture and was grateful for it. Jennifer stayed with them a day more as she wanted to catch up on the details of her brother's latest trip.

After spending a day with her brother and sister-in-law Jennifer left.

Things took a very serious turn for Andrea after Jennifer left. Andrea went to the dinner table to talk with Leo.

"We need to talk," She pulled up a chair and sat beside him.

"I had a lot of time to think in City K; and I've come to a conclusion..." Leo took a deep breath and continued, "Neither one of us is happy in this marriage..." He presented her with an envelope.

Andrea opened it to find her worst nightmare. "Divorce papers?" she asked in shock. "I don't want a divorce."

"It's the best thing for everyone! I've already signed it." lot He got up to leave. "Read it over and sign it...give it to me in the morning." after saying that Leo left.

So; that was the special gift she was going to give him - A DIVORCE.
