The run

Leo was losing all his men. All the loyal City K bodyguards along with some trusty servants from the ranch were there, losing their lives to protect their Prince and Princess.

'Bang!'

Leo and Andrea turned to look. The shot was from the left.

'Bang!'

They heard another shooting sound coming from the right.

'Bang Bang Bang Bang Bang!!'

As the shots were getting louder, Leo became sure the hit-men were coming closer.

Leo pointed out at the aircraft hangar to Andrea. While cupping her face into his hands he said, "Princess, I need you to run with me." She immediately nodded.

That place was at least 80 yards away, but both of them were determined. They clasped onto each other's hands tightly and began the long-distance sprint.

The shooters saw the couple running and began firing at them.

'Bang Bang Bang Bang Bang!!'

Leo's arm flinched as he realized that he got shot but they continued to run on as their destination was close.

'Bang Bang Bang Bang!!'

Shooters continue to fire more shots. Andrea and Leo finally entered the steel structure hangar. It was an empty building, except for what stood at the center.

Andrea was slightly relieved yet worried. "Leo, can you fly it?"

Leo smiled at her. "Yeah, I can pilot it." He signaled her to press a large red button on the wall. She did and the roof of the building quickly opened. He gestured her to sit inside. Before she did, she took out a handkerchief from Leo's pocket and tied it on his upper-arm, where he had got the shot.

Both sat in the helicopter and Leo started it. He pressed several switches, put his foot on the anti-torque pedal, and held onto the cyclic-stick with both of his hands. The rotor-blades spun, and the helicopter moved upwards.

They came out of that building in a helicopter. Leo started flying over the ranch and Andrea looked down at it to find it was strewn with dead bodies.

The ride was a quiet one, Andrea was still coming to terms with what just happened and Leo was trying to put on a brave front while desperately trying to hide something.

Andrea noticed Leo's tensed face, he was in a lot of pain. She quickly pulled out her phone and called their family Doctor.

The signal was very weak. The call didn't reach many times. Fortunately, her message about Leo being shot in City K went through. Leo pulled hard on the manual throttle to speed up the flight.

After 90 minutes, they could see their home. Leo landed the helicopter on the helipad which was made especially on top of their Manor just for emergencies like this. Andrea was beyond worried and she quickly held onto Leo's hand for reassurance.

All their servants, bodyguards, and doctors were waiting on the roof-top for them. There was also an ambulance on the premises.

Andrea got out, but Leo didn't. Eventually, the door squeaked open. Leo's weary leg came out first, then his whole body fell out unconscious.

"Leo!!!," screamed Andrea and ran to him as tears rolled down from her pale face. She lifted Leo's head and placed it on her lap.

The doctor began checking Leo. Leo had worn a black shirt; as it soaked with blood, nobody could notice. The doctor spotted a wet patch and lifted Leo's shirt.

Leo was badly shot, the second bullet was merely inches away from his heart. The doctor quickly got him into the ambulance and immediately took him to the nearest hospital.

Andrea cried inconsolably, "Doctor, please tell me, Is Leo going be fine." The doctor gazed at her but didn't say anything.
