chapter 1-(Grey scorpion)

after 3 days, Richard was still at the hospital after some strangers saw him unconscious in the middle of the street, he woke up after a long sleep and found his mother standing beside him, she noticed that he woke up, and she said " doc....doctor he woke up, darling what happened to you, I was really worried about you" Richard said with scared voice " you found me in thE cave.....right?" jean noticed his scared tone and said" a cave? there are no caves in Nevada. Are you okay son?!, some people saw you on the street and called the police" Richard said "It's okay I think that was just a dream, but the nurses didn't see the wound on my shoulder, because I didn't see any bandage on it! " Jean said "Let me see. (She didn't find any wound or cut on his both shoulders) There is no wound anywhere darling! I think you have to rest after the doctor checks on you." afterward the doctor came in and checked on him and said, "hey, brave boy you seemed okay, you can go home tomorrow, but there is one condition you must take your pills that I will give you without stopping it until you finished it and stop by." Richard said with a happy face "Thanks doctor I want to go back home as soon as possible, but can I ask you something? " The doctor said, "Yeah of course!!" Richard said while he puts his right hand on his heart "why my heart beats too fast and also I feel my brain so clean and so concentrated "the doctor said while he is looking at Richard's mother "Yeah... Richard was walking on the sidewalk heading to his home with his mother and suddenly his mother disappeared, he started yelling by her name and looking for her, but there is no trail for her or any human being, there are no cars or noise until he saw a man heading to him, but he hides his face. As he is getting closer Richard starts feeling uncomfortable and his heart starts beating fast with every step, but he passed him and went away, Richard said" Who are you ? " and he replied, "There is no more me or you, we are one now " Richard gets close to the man and held his head up to see his face, but Richard stepped back after he saw his mother's face, and she says " Richard wake up".

(After 3 hours) .... "mom where are you, "Richard said that after he had shower but she didn't answer, so he wore his clothes and stood in front of the mirror, but he felt so scared when he started remembering that night in the cave, Richard said with himself " that was just a bad dream of my bad dreams list " and he heard a voice said" Oh come on, you believe yourself so fast, this is a bad habit " Richard while he was screaming and running from the mirror and said" please not again, this is my home, not your cave," green spirit said " you can call me green spirit and do you think I can freeze you only if you are in front of a mirror, I am in you now, if I want to stop your heart I will so easily," Richard said " in me, how? why? where exactly?" green spirit said " too many questions, too many "Richard thought for moments and said " you won't kill me because of? " green spirit said " one thing before I answer your question , I heard the question in your head before you said it , and you don't need to talk from your mouth ,and the reason I won't kill you it's simple , I need your help " Richard said " but why me "green spirit replied " do you need refreshing to your memory or what , you the one who came to me and broke the curse that kept me in that cave for decades" suddenly the door opened , and Richard went toward it immediately he found his mother and behind her Maddison holding flowers with her beautiful smile , jean said" oh honey look who came to see you " Maddison said " Hi, how do you feel Richard? , I was really scared about you and glad you are okay "Richard replied "Thanks, really Maddy, I am happy that you are here" While Maddison is giving him the flowers and she got a seat and said" I am really sorry I didn't come to see you in the hospital because I was having a lot of exams " Richard said with a smile " it's okay I was unavailable anyway, because of sleeping all the time, I was just about to have a cup of coffee now if you don't have anything now maybe..." Madison said "Oh!! sorry I can't because I am at my friend's house I didn't see him for a while, oh come on let's have a cup of coffee you don't need to ask" Richard knows that voice in his head is real, but wanted to forget it for a while at least.

Richard got home and found that his mother slept, so he went to his room quietly and closed the door, green spirit said "My part of the deal is done now still your part ". Richard said, "I want to ask first, how you did that because I thought you will show up and fight all of them ". green spirit answered, "I can but I am stronger in a human body". Richard replied "So what now, you will stay in me forever or what ?"green spirit responded, "No I just need to find my friend to open up the gate to my world ".Richard said "Your world!!, is there another world that the spirits live in it or what, " green spirit replied "There are worlds, not just one and no not just us there are humans and a lot of kinds of creatures, the important thing now to find her, and I promise you when she opens the gate for me, I will get out of you. Richards said "Okay deal, I hope not to regret this." After that Richard went to bed.

Early morning. green spirit said" Come on wake up " With his words he makes Richard's body stand up. " Green Spirit said, "You won't understand just forget it, that's our thing and keep that mouth silence for a few minutes." ....they kept moving around looking for clues on her for hours but nothing, Richard said with a Sarcastically accent " are we looking for a ghost or what? there are no Footprints around to guide us to her," green spirit said " She can hide better than ghosts sometimes " Richard said "Sometimes....?" but was no answer from him and they kept looking until midnight and they returned home, Richard said " this the worst day ever I didn't eat anything from the morning and my foot's burns like hell, I don't even talk I want to eat and go to sleep.

Richard woke up after he heard his mother's voice while she was talking to someone on the phone, so he opens the door quietly and start sneaking outside the house, after he went out and closed the door, green spirit said "Your actions like every teenager, sneaking out for smoking or meeting bad friends or hanging out with girls, ooh boy " Richard said " I just want to avoid speaking with my mother about the work she wants me to get, I know everything she is doing while she trying to keep it secret from me ", green spirit said " human have too many emotions and thinking about everything with every detail, come on live the moment and leave the future to the future "

Richard while sitting in front of the door said "I just feel my life won't have any successful thing ever "Green spirit said while trying to close this conversation " I will tell you just one thing The road to success is always under construction, so get up and let us go looking for the witch while we still have time " Richard said" while still have time.? " Green spirit replied " there is a guardian of the spirits his name is grey scorpion, the moment I left that cave he knew about me, so when he wants to catch me, he will come, so while we have time before he comes, we need to keep looking for the witch" Richard said" so he will put you back in the cave if he catches you? Green Spirit said, "Start walking first..." On the road, Richard saw the three bullies and told green spirit about them and green spirit Sarcastically said " Oh I own them, because of them I am out of that cave now " Richard with an angry tone said " I want to let them learn a lesson and stay out of my way permanently " green spirit felt how he feel and stopped laughing about the situation and said " so what I will get in return " Richard starts thinking for a while and said " I will be more serious about looking for your friend ", green spirit said, "oh I can make you be more serious by Force, but anyway you got it and now you will see a small part of my power and....." Richard interrupted him by saying that he wants them to see him while he beats them, so by punches no more than that, green spirit said "You got it ".

Richard starts walking towards them and said "Hey clowns, did you rob anyone else yet? " one of the three said "No we were waiting for a fool like you to come across.".furthermore, Richard said I will let all of you learn a new lesson. The three of them start looking at each other with evil smiles one of them said "You just need to know we won't be mad if you run again from us" Richard while holding his punches and said " I assure you that you guys who will run this time if I let you, of course" with finishing his words he strikers the middle one and kicked him with frozen reaction from them and last thing they know that the three of them on the ground even they hurt bad, but Richard said to the green spirit that is not enough, suddenly he saw two police officers walking toward him. while trying to escape one of them pointed the gun at him and asked him to stop.

(2 hours later) the door cell opened and the guard called Richards's name and said to come out from it, Richard didn't know what happened and said to himself or I mean with green spirit " I don't get it, I just came to the police station, how they will set me free after two hours maybe or less". Green spirit said "I think your family has power in this city!", The guard asks Richard to follow him to the office, the guard opened the door and Richard saw a woman he doesn't even know, but she is pretending that she knows him while he tried to say to the police officer, he doesn't know her, but green spirit stopped him and said, "let us go out from the police station and you will know her".

Richard knew the woman explained to the police officer that he has a problem with controlling his anger, the weird thing the police officer believed her so easily Richard interrupted her and said "Sir I am not what she just said, I did that to the three boys on purpose" the police officer stood still and said, "it's okay no problem". Richard left the office and said to the green spirit "Is she the woman you are looking for right?" And green spirit didn't respond to the obvious question.

In front of the police station, Richard said to the woman "why you helped me also why you lied and said that you Know me, besides I want to stay behind that bars and I dont want to go back home not now" the woman said "firstly I didnt help you, I am here for green spirit and I assume that he is in you now and I am sure you know that, because I heard you talking to him and I heard his voice" green spirit said "Richard this is Mia Caligari the woman I was looking for so don't start yelling or anything I will tell you what exactly happened there, she convinced the police officer that you are innocent with her power" Richard starts walking With no reaction and stopped when Mia Caligari said" green spirit what the plan now what do you want to do "Richard turned around and the green spirit said "I want to go back to my world besides I dont have anything here to do so the last thing I want now is to stay in this world another minute" Richard tried to repeat what green spirit, but Mia Caligari interrupted him and she said ." I will help you of course, but you have to know that I lost my black jewelry" Richard said 'you can search for your jewelry after you help him get out of here" Mia Caligari Laughing and she starts walking toward her car and got in it and Richard followed her to the car and she told him to go find the black jewelry and she will find you, green spirit said" Mia you know that you have to help me right "but she went away by her car and didn't answer his question.

Richard was heading to his home when he saw Maddison coming towards him with a smile on her face, as usual, she saw Richard and started walking fast toward him, Richard froze when he saw her and didn't make any move, he said when she arrived "it's been a while Maddison where have you been!?", "I was in your home minutes ago and your mother told me that you didn't come home yet from the morning, "Maddison said. Richard replied "What time is it now", Maddison realized that he somehow lost track of time and answered "Now 4:30 pm! Richard what happened to you?", Richard starts walking and said, "Nothing I just lost track of time, sorry I have to go, see you tomorrow?" Maddison nods her head without saying anything and she left as well.

(6 hours earlier) Jean said on the phone "Jackson, I asked you to look for a sponsor for me, not a bunch of them, no... Just hear me out now I will tell you something if you can't help me with that so that means I don't need you anymore. no... I don't want excuses, bye for now "Jean decided its time to tell Richard about the job and convince him to take the job, she starts walking up the stairs to Richard's Room and opens the door and starts looking for him but she didn't find him and she said with herself "where he went without telling me I hope he is okay ".

(5 hours later) Maddison said "Come on Father I will be back in 15 minutes why are you stopping me from going for a walk", her father said "Maddison I know where you are going, so at least be honest with me just once", Maddison said" okay.... okay I'm going to see a friend of mine he was sick so I will check if he is okay, moreover, I'm not a child anymore I can look after myself. And her father with a smile said "okay" Maddison was waiting for the decline but his answer not what she was waiting for, and she left home.

She knocked on the door and start yelling by Richards's name when the door opened and Jean was there, Maddison said "Hi, is Richards okay? Can I see him?" Jean said "Hi I'm fine thanks for asking," Maddison with a confused accent said "I'm sorry it's my bad is everything okay with you as well," jean with a smile on her face said "It's okay I'm joking with you sweetie, and thanks to you, I'm good but Richard not at home I don't know where he is from the morning, I was thinking he is with you, did you kidnap him and now you will ask for the money?" Maddison with a smile on her face said "you got it so I want a million cookies of yours if you want to see your son again". Jean with laughing said" okay...okay you got it, sorry for letting you out here come in and let us have a cup of tea and cookies as well" Maddison refused and said that she has to go somewhere else and get back home and she said goodbye and left.

(2 hours later) Richard finally reached his home and got in, he saw his mother setting toward the door and waiting for him, Richard said "I'm home, mother" and with his words, he starts walking up the stairs toward his room when Jean said "at least come and sit with me for a few minutes or I don't deserve it!! " Richard heard his mother's words and stayed with her, Jean starts staring at him and said wondering" Richard where have you been all day without a word? Besides. 2 hours or 3 hours ago Maddison came asking for you" Richard while nods his head and said "Yeah, I know, I met her on the road and she told me, and I just went for a walk and I was thinking to quit the work as a hairdresser, but I didn't stop by at the shop" jean with getting close to him and said "for mentioning the work I want to tell you something. Richard closed the door and lay on his bed and said "green spirit so what is the plan now? how are we going to find that jewelry?" Green spirit said, "All I know is that she can't help us without it, that jewelry is the core of her power so her power is now weak without it," Richard with tears on his cheeks said "You know, this is the first time my mother hit me and I didn't know how to react when she did, " green spirit said " I don't have emotion to tell you anything but I'm going to say that I felt uncomfortable when she hit you, I dont know what that is, but not good at all ", Richard said "my father was.. ", Richards words interrupted when he heard a knock on the door and opened after that when his mother jean was there and said" may I come in", Richard nods his head while she was already coming in and she seats beside him and said, "Richard I'm sorry, Is just don't want anyone to disrespect you, while I am alive I know without you are saying it, what is happening in your job not good, but at least start the job with us and after that if you felt uncomfortable with the job you can quit okay?" Richard woke up at 7:00 am and wore his clothes and went out, green spirit said "So is there any place with a high view in the city?", Richard while thinking and walking further from his house and told him about the palazzo and added that they can't get in because of high security, green spirit said, " let go to that place and leave the rest to me".

" Richard said, green spirit said " I will go up there and search for the jewelry now, I just want one thing from you to do is to close your eyes " Richard wondered "Why....?" green spirit interrupted him and said "Just do it without more question " when Richard closed his eyes he starts smelling smoke but not heavy, green spirit said " now open your eyes " Richard found himself on the roof of the palazzo and green spirit added " no question and just shut up " suddenly Richard's arms stretched out laying on the air and Richard didn't know what is happening there, green smoke starts getting out of his hands, while Richard stood on that situation for few minutes after that green spirit said, " let's go home now there is no point of staying here now or searching for it in this city ".

"why you do this to me," Maddison said to her father, and he replied " you always asking me about my work and my family, that doesn't concert you to ask me about " with finishing his words he left the house, and Maddison laid on the ground and start crying and she said with herself " why?...why my life so miserable?, I wish my life was better than now, why this is happening to me my father leaves home so early and he got back late every day" Madison she's an orphan her mother died the day she was born and since that she lived in an orphanage for 2 years after that a man came and adopted her, until the moment she doesn't know yet she is adopted, moreover she doesn't have siblings or even a woman to look after her, the man he adopted her she doesn't see him all the day or more than one, besides she talks to him just to ask him about her mother or his family, even she has friends, but she feels lonely her thoughts interrupted when she heard a knock on the door , when she opened the door she found her friend Alina, Maddison asked her to come in when Alina said " no you have to come with me let us hangout together " and Maddison really needed to leave her thoughts for a while and she accepted to hang out with her friend .

Richard is walking among the trees when he found a trail of broken glasses towards him and decided to follow it, while he was walking he starts hearing voices asking him to stay away, but he kept moving anyway, that is when he found a lake beside the cave, the same one he was in and he decides to enter the cave and on the way, he stopped when Richard saw a shining thing in the lake afterward he went toward it to collect it and it was the black jewelry, with noises around him, he starts looking where the voice came from and that when he saw a bench of grey scorpions attacks him.

Richard woke up from the dream drowning with his sweat and said " green spirit I know where the jewelry is " after that he told green spirit what he dreamt of, but green spirit answered with cold blood " emm what I discovered that you fear scorpions that all and about the jewelry is just you was thinking of it because it been 2 weeks searching for it " Richard while he is walking toward his desk and said " you don't get it, those, not ordinary scorpions there are grey ones " green spirit said " and what the problem about the color" after he finished his words he realizes what Richard is meaning about it, Richard said " so you know what I mean or no, I think there is a sign that he stole the jewelry so you won't Run away, is there any place that we can find him " green spirit said " no but there is a place he can find us in it ,when I was on the palazzo roof I discovered that place in the city, it like a bar for mages and they called it Deep tooth Nest" Richard said with a happy face " okay we have to go to it now " , Richard left the house with fearful face and happy as well when Maddison saw him going the other way and called him but he didn't answer but she followed him.

" do you see that man beside that door, that door is the one " green spirit said, Richard start walking toward him when the man stopped him and ask him to leave but Richard tried harder and fought him until he felt a hand grab him and threw him away from the door, that when green spirit said "it's been a while grey scorpion ", grey scorpion grabbed Richard to outside the Restaurant and said " I let you have fun in this world and I stopped myself from getting you back to the cave but you trying to cross the lines ", Richard while he trying to stand up and said " you look weaker than what green spirit said about you " grey scorpion didn't like what he said about him and start punching him when he heard a voice said " dad stop, what are you doing he is my friend? " That was when he turned and saw his daughter Maddy standing behind him and she completed "Are you beating him because he is seeing me or what " With a Shocked face Richard stands up and says "Your father!!...your daughter!!" grey scorpion said " Maddison go home now, I don't want another word from you " with completing his words Maddison turned and walks without reaction. Richard tried to catch her up but grey scorpion stopped him with a punch in the face. grey scorpion with magic moves the jewelry appears on his hand and said, " I knew you will go looking for Caligari, poor spirit, besides, I assume you looking for this right, I know you came here just to see me and take the jewelry but how you knew that I have it ". Richard with standing from the ground said " I saw it in a dream and ..." green spirit interrupted him and said " there is no time for talking, Richard we have to take it from him, let me have the control " when completing the sentence Richard attacks grey scorpion and green smoke appears on his hands and flooded him with grey scorpion' eyes watching him , Richard disappear and showed up including attacking him from behind added to it he was holding a green sword on his right hand but grey scorpion dived and said " ooh green spirit you slower and weaker than before I think you will be back at that cave tonight " with closing the conversation he attacks him with magic power on the shape of a blue ball, at the same time green spirit attacks back with a green one as well and disappear and with grey scorpion's eyes looking for him, Richard emerge the half of him from the ground and stole the jewelry from his hands, on the other hand grey scorpion attacked him, but Richard image faded away , grey scorpion said with himself "just run, I will catch you eventually ".

Richard while running said " green spirit, so where we will meet her, we don't have much time until he will find us " green spirit said "Let's go home and you will have to eat, in order to get your energy back, because, I consume most of your body's clout " and with no word from Richard, he headed home.

Richard got home when he found a woman with his mother talking and walked directed to his room when his mother Jean starts calling him and said "Come to meet this is Mrs. Jasmine, she owns a company that will be sponsoring our work" with Richard reaching her and with choked face discovered that she is Mia Caligari, but tried to hide his reaction and said " its nice to meet you Mrs. Jasmine " Mia Caligari said " you didn't mention that you have a handsome boy, he can be our new marketing' face " jean smiles but Richard gave no reaction and said " sponsor?! what will benefit us and what is that" Caligari said with a smile " Okay I can explain, is a business relationship between a provider of funds, resources, or services and an individual, event, or organization which offers in return some rights and associations that may be used for commercial advantage, Mrs. Chandler can I take your son for a walk in our company and let him see how we Run our company " jean with a happy accent said " yes with pleasure besides Richard owns half of our work as well so you can close the deal with him " with completing her words Richard with unconfident voice said " Come on mom you know that I can't even if you say so " jean said " why not? what do you have to lose if you tried? , just do it, Come on! Caligari interrupted him and said "Wait for a second, are you seriously thinking that I know a place that mages hide it from all the world and I can figure it out where is it, " green spirit with an angry accent said "So you telling me that I confront grey scorpion for nothing! how I'm supposed to know where is it? Emm wait for a second, Richard you know where the cave is you who came to me that day!! " Richard said with a clear tune " I don't know where the cave is, besides we don't have any forest near to our neighborhood and I was close to my neighborhood when I found myself in front of the forest " Mia stopped the car and said " you have to find the cave if you want me to help you and when you find it I will be there as well, now go " with Richard closing the door Caligari went fast away and Richard said " well, I will go now home and we will figure out how we are going to find where the cave located.

Richard got in the house when he found his home flipped out, all the mirrors are broken and the place in a miserable way, but he was looking for his mother nothing more, that is when he heard her saying " Richard is that you " with completing her words Richard run to her and found her face full of bruises and knife mark on her hand and said with an angry tune " mother what happened to you, tell me who did that to you " and jean said with a voice full of pain " I don't know anyone of them, son, but they were 3 teenagers came looking for you, please Richard stay away I don't want them to hurt you." Richard knew who they are but he controlled his anger and told his mother that everything will be okay after that he called the ambulance and went with her to the hospital and stayed with her until the doctor told him that she will be okay, after that he left the place with a face of the devil and said " green spirit I want to control your power let it to me " but green spirit said " you can't, you will die if you use it, you didn't eat anything from the morning " but Richard didn't listen to him and start running and kept saying you will regret that, the three of you.
