Chapter 3

(Just a bit of info on how I am interpreting some of the information in the Naruto Databook.

For the villages, it rates their population, military, and economy on a scale of 1-5 with 5 being the highest on the scale. I am assigning values to this scale since they were never truly given properties that people could reference but a general idea.

Remember, these are the are simply the population in the hidden villages, not the entire great nations.

Population will determine the total population, civilian and shinobi. Each point will count toward 10K or 10,000 people.

Military will determine the shinobi population. Each point will count toward 2k or 2,000 shinobi.

Economy determines the total wealth a village has on hand at once. Each point will count toward 250B, 250 Billion dollars, or 8 Trillion Ryo.

So Suna has a rating of 2,2,2 will have a population of 20,000, a military force of 4,000, and total wealth that is around 16 trillion Ryo

Kotaro looked at the 4th Hokage and Shishui with sparkles in his eyes. These were two of the ninja that he looked up to the most since they had similar high-speed combat styles like his.

Minato caught the look on Kotaro's face and flashed the young shinobi a smile before turning to Rasa and also giving him a smile.

"Lord Hokage. I hope that the journey through the desert was not too hard on these young ninjas you brought with you."

"Hello, Lord Kazekage. The desert is indeed harsh but that is why it is able to produce geniuses such as you and your children. My child on the other hand is very lacking in comparison."

Hearing his father talking bad about him, Naruto looked wan. Although this was normally how parents talked, Naruto still felt terrible about it due to the truth of the matter.

A few of the other genin noticed this but didn't comment. Compared to them or the Sand Siblings, not to even mention geniuses like Minato, Naruto was very lacking when it came to talent.

Minato didn't notice since he was focusing on speaking with Rasa though.

After a few more words of greeting, both groups started walking through the crevice into the village.

The genin from Konoha looked around in interest. The crevice was not just an entrance to the village but also a fort itself. There were hundreds of caves that always had shinobi in them that were prepared to act at any moment.

Once they made it through the crevice, the group was brought through the village and towards the Suna academy. Rasa had emptied out several houses for the group to stay at and put them close to the academy and his office where they could visit whenever they wanted during their stay.

After showing them their housing, Rasa and the other Suna ninja left them alone so that the group could rest from their long journey. After inviting them to feast for later that night.

Once the formalities were out of the way, Rasa brought his children and Pakura back to his office to speak with them in private.

"You two will be the main combatants. Temari, I want you to handle the Uchiha child. Kataro, you will take on the heir to the Akemichi Clan. I want to see what the heirs to their two noble clans are capable of."

Rasa gave them orders on who they were supposed to fight as soon as he sat down. No words of encouragement or asking their advice, simple orders.

"Yes, Father." "Yes, Lord Kazekage." The siblings replied at the same time

Rasa grunted before dismissing the children and Pakura while he continued to work on various documents related to Suna's operations

- Meanwhile, in the Konoha housing -

"It doesn't matter what you say! I'm gonna be the next Hokage, believe it!" Naruto shouted as Sasuke before storming out of the house.

Sasuke and Naruto had gotten into an argument once again. While they did not really like each other, they could usually get along after a few words of disagreement. But Naruto was very disturbed about what Sasuke had said.

There would only be 5 matches between the genin and Sasuke said that they shouldn't waste one of their spots on Naruto if they truly wanted to see how strong the genin they would be facing in the upcoming chunin exam.

Not taking kindly to being looked down upon, Naruto took out his anger on Sasuke but the latter was unwilling to back down. And when Naruto turned to the other genin for their opinion, none of them stood up for him.

This led to his last outburst before he ran out of the house.

"I'm just gonna..." Kakashi said while motioning toward the door

Minato was rubbing his temple and nodded at Kakashi.

"Sorry for the trouble. Please make sure he doesn't get into any trouble with some Suna shinobi."

Kakashi nodded before disappearing into a cloud of smoke.

Naruto didn't go far. He ran toward the training grounds of the Suna academy where he saw Temari and Kotaro practicing their Wind Release together.

The pair stood in front of each other and had dozens of leaves in between them. Both of them were focusing on the leaf in their hand as they manipulated their chakra through it.

While most would stop after being able to change the nature of their chakra into wind chakra and cut the leaf in half, the pair were doing something much more difficult.

They were transforming their normal chakra into wind chakra and cutting along the veins of the leaf. The level of difficulty in using this method was obvious since the control and concentration it required were much higher than the former method.

Seeing that the pair who his teammates were going to face tomorrow were standing before him, Naruto's impulsiveness came forward once again.

"Hey! You two brats of the Kazekage! My name is Naruto Uzumaki and I'm going to be the next Hokage, believe it! I don't want my teammates to waste their time fighting weaklings such as you so I will take you both down right now."
