Forests Final Quest

I once again opened my eyes, seeing the familiar cave roof I realised that Grace must of dragged me over here, I sat up and saw her sitting at the entrance of the cave looking at the sky "hey Grace, How do I look?" I asked with a grin.

She turned around with a smile on her face "[very handsome, now the deadline is nearly up we've got to be out of this forest or you'll miss the start of the plot, you have trained hard and become stronger, all that's left is to give you some experience fighting a monster, I've asked Akashika and he said I cant materialize a monster to give you some experience in fightting them]" then with a wave of her hand, a Quest screen popped up

Quest: Everybody Should Remember Their First Monster

Description: Now that you have trained, its time to hunt your first monster, one monster will be materialized in a clearing in the forest , you must find clearing and kill the monster.

Reward: Two weapons of choice, Development Ability Unsealed

I nodded and stood up and walked out of the cave "So where's the clearing?" I asked Grace as I started to stretch "[the monster has been materialized in a clearing in that direction]" she said as she pointed to what I believed to be south, I nodded my head and ran off towards the clearing.

<17 minutes later>

Ok, it's settled, I can not find this clearing, I've been looking forever and I can't find it, I've covered a large chunk of the south but still haven't found the clearing yet, I swear that I've looked everywhere but still nothing no clearing, no monster, not even a monster footprint, I've all but given up on completing the quest and was considering just heading back, but that was until I had Ayet making it seen the tree.

The tree I'm talking about was Huge and I mean Huge it was a tree twice as tall and twice as big as any other tree in the forest, this gave me hope.

I decided to climb it to see if I couldn't see the clearing from up at the top, I can't climbed a tree since I was a kid, and it was a pretty nostalgic feeling to feel the wind in my hair and the creaking of branches under my feet.

After making my way to the top I saw it, the clearing, I was about a two minute walk from the giant tree, and in the center was the monster.

What ever it was, it was standing in the center of the clearing watching the tree line like a hawk, it seemed to be looking for something, could it have been meit was looking for?

I jumped down from branch to branch slowly getting closer to the ground, once landing on the ground I dashed towards the direction of the clearing, I had decided that I was going to not use my magic unless it was going to kill me, I wanted to see if I could take it on by my self.

As I arrived at the clearing I hid in the tree line, I looked around the clearing trying to get a lay of the land, The terrain was rocky and had a lot of bushes in the area, I could try and sneak up on it t it wouldn't work, I was never any good at sneaking around so It was useless I even try.

Then there was the monster it self, it was a Kobold, a bipedal dog headed creature with brown fur, it had a small club in it's hands "Ok, let's do this".

*takes deep breath*

I dashed out the treeline and towards the Kobold, it seemed to spot me, but it didn't do anything it just stood there club in hand and stared at me. As I arrived at the Kobold it raised its club as struck at me with lightning speed, the club came down on my shoulder and then with the equally fast speed it started to raise its club again, redying another strike.

As the club was struck down at me I managed to dodge it, as I was readying my attack it came at me snarling and a furious look in it's eyes, I just managed to dodge it in time "Fuck this, I'm using my magic and skills" I shouted as I activated my Darkest Lariet.

My skin and hair turned pitch black as a dark most enveloped me, I could feel the darkness coursing through my gains and the most solidify just above my skin like a protective barrier. This was [] a skill that I had only discovered how to use about three days ago, I was in the middle of one of my attempts at the training Quest and as my arm ps we're feeling numb and weak, the same thing has now happened to me, it was a trump card that powered me up to one hundred and then doubled that, giving me a temporary boost in power in exchange for taking on the physical toll of both the boosted state and the non-boosted state.

I dashed towards the Kobold and jabbed at his side, then as my hand was embedded in his side I called out the 'chant' for my magic "Dark Bolt!" then like an explosion of blood and dark mist the Kobold formed a gaping hole in its side, it staggered backwards as them felt apart onto a pile of blue dust
