Joining The Loki Familia

Finding a familiar was actually a lot easier than some people would think, you just had to be skilled enough to go into the dungeon, but that as the one thing I lacked skill. I tried a lot of different Familia.

The Hephaestus Familia wouldn't take me because I wasn't a blacksmith.

The Freya Familia wouldn't even let me see freya, most likely because they didn't want me to draw Freyas attention away from them.

The Ganesha Familia didn't even answer the door, I assumed they just weren't home.

And also a bunch of others that just didn't want me it Grace, I was starting to feel like Bell.

I could have just gone straight to Hestia and asked her, but I didn't want to get involved in the plot, I would rather just be a side character and besides, joining the Hestia Familia would come with it's own set of draw backs, like being poor, and dealing with Apollo, the Monsterphillia and being poor... And did I mention being poor, because if not I will mention it.

At the moment I was parusing a board at the guild, this was the board which showed which Familia were looking for members, but the only one I could see me even having a chance at joining was the Loki Familia.

Not that I didn't want to join, no it was quite the opposite, The Loki familiar was the second strongest Familia in Orario an it had some of my favorite Characters in it, like Fin and Tiona, it was just that they prefer applicants to be level two or above to join, at this point I was just considering throwing in the towel and joining the Hestia Familia.

"[Dont give up August, I'm sure one Familia will take us]" "I know but aim starting to feel a little depressed, I've been all over the city today and still not one familiar will take us, Now I know how Bell felt" "[yes the Irony is not lost on me, but you must keep trying... And if it makes you feel better I could generate I quest for you and ask Akashika to allow me to give you a reward]" "no, I need to learn to just keep going, I can't be lazy anymore, if I'm too lazy to do stuff, it could get me killed I the dungeon" I then walked over to a free guild desk "Hello, welcome to the guild how may I help you two?" the familiar-looking hazel haired half-elf asked is "We want to get an appointment with Loki, we're looking to join her Familia" I said, Eina gave me and Grace a weird look "Um... Are you sure, Loki usually only takes in Level twos and by the looks of you two, you're both not even a level one" she said with a worried look "That doesn't matter at the moment, I've tried almost every other familiar in the city, I just want a shot" I said as I gave Eina a pleading look.

"hmmm, well... I guess I could set up a meeting with her, but t actually get in you'd need something special to get her attention" Eina said as she started to write a letter "[do not worry, my brother has more than one trick up his sleeve]" said Grace as she gave off a neutral smile, "ok, just make your way to one of the empty private rooms and wait for Loki there, it won't take her long to get here" Eina said as she ltto send the letter

Grace and me were talking about some minor things such as the dungeon and such when the door to the private room burst open "Ok so you two must be who dragged me away from my Familia for a talk" said the woman, it was Loki.

Loki is a Goddess with light red hair and red eyes. She is well-known to dress up in tomboyish or male attire, mainly jeans and a shirt that show off her stomach. She tends to tie her hair back in a simple pony-tail, though on occasion she will put it up in a stylish bun.

Grace and me stood up and bowed to Loki "[Goddess Loki, me and my brother have travels far to come to Orario, we humbly ask you to let us join your Familia]" said Grace as Loki sat down opposite us, "And why should I do that?" she asked with a smile "from what I asked miss Eina your new to the city, so that means you've never been in a Familia before, so that means you've never been in the dungeon, this isn't a game kid, unless you know how to defend your self you'll get killed" she said with a serious face.

"I'm not a kid, I'm fifteen and I have more than enough magic power to kill a monster, my sister may only be here to support me in my dream of being an adventurer, but I'm going to become one, with your help or not," I said with a calm tone and a smile on my face.

Loki raised an eyebrow at my remark "Magic you say, what type of magic?" she asked as she leaned in a little closer "I call it shadow magic, but you may know it as dark magic" Loki's eyes twitched and visually opened for a millisecond "what... can you do with it?" she asked, visibly shaking in excitement.

"I can shoot bolts of darkness and with my staff I can even change their shape" I said as I took out my staff of its back holster "[He can also cover his body with his magic power, effectively doubling or even tripling his power]" added Grace "[With enough training he can change the bolts shape by him self, but when that happens well need to get him a new staff, as it'll just be a stick by then, it doesn't really do anything for his magic power]" she continued.

Loki leaned back n her chair, she seemed to be thinking my words over a bit "presumably, upyou came straight here and don't have a place to sleep?" she asked me as Grace shook our heads "... Ok, I'll let you in my Familia, but you'll have to take lessons in magic from one of my mages, I don't want you getting your self killed doing something stupid with such powerful magic" with that she got up and walked to the door "Well, are you guys coming or not"

And like that we both got a Familia and avoided having to sleep on he streets.
