Dear Solitude,
How are you going?
It's been a while since we talked.
We were raised together since we were born, as brothers.
And, like brothers, we never got along very well.
At least on my part, since you didn't even speak to anyone besides me.
I think you considered me a lot, I'm sorry I didn't notice.
I always preferred to be with other people, trying to make friends.
But when I was left out, I ran back into his arms and cried like a child who lost his mother in the market.
At first it was difficult, but I learned to enjoy having you by my side.
I didn't have anyone I could count on, neither did you, we were the same.
You were like a ghost that wouldn't leave me and haunt me every single day, so I had to accept you, or I would never be at peace.
I had finally surrendered, hadn't I?
You hugged me in your warm, cold arms and sank me into your huge lonely world.
I was your child in need of protection, and you were my lonely company.
There were many times when you sat in the corner of my room while I heard that deafening silence.
Yes, you were silent, just like death. I like that about you, you know I've never been a fan of loud places.
You are an old friend that I consider very much, because you have always been by my side in difficult times, where I was abandoned and you listened to me patiently.
You were always there when I avoided you and met new people, but I never complained when I came back desolated for being rejected for the thousandth time by everyone.
I was naive and didn't know how to take care of my mental health. We can say that I was empty.
I've gotten a lot worse in the last 3 years, I've been at the bottom of the well, about to drown, but ... I got fresh air to breathe again, now I remember what it's like to smile really.
And the main thing: Now I know what it's like to have real friends.
I really don't know if this friendship is going to last very long, but I'm not worrying about it like the last time. I just want to enjoy the feeling, because I know how to move on with my life, and I hope that one day you can do the same.
I don't think you need my company anymore, and neither do I need yours. If you ever need me, you know we have each other.
Goodbye, dear Solitude.
