Chapter 1

   "Hello sir what's your order?"

"Ah… one coffee please."

"Coffee?! In this hot weather?!"

"The food here in your cafe is way too expensive that's why I only ordered coffee for lunch."

"You're very thrifty! Here take this chicharon for free! You're so pathetic."

"Thank you best friend! Although you could have given me something to match my coffee." Raymond's jest to his friend.

"You're a thick faced bastard!"  Rona's retaliation.

"Okay I will go to back to my table, your supervisor is fuming at me, and he thinks that I'm interrupting your work."

"Well it is true so go ahead and have your seat, also, don't forget to pick me up after my shift." Rona told him in which he nodded.

"Good evening!" Rona greeted her friend as she walks toward him.

"I've waited for so long!" Raymond's complaint before they walk along to his car.

"Sorry! Can't you see I helped them in closing the cafe, anyway I took out food for us." Rona told him then they hop in the car.

"Raymond will you please open the a/c, it's so hot in here." Rona complaints.

"My a/c is damaged, just open the window to get some fresh air."

"Oh my God Raymond your car is so cheap to the point that the air con is not functioning!"

"Will you please stop complaining? I'm lucky that I bought this car for a very low price."

"Maybe because you're the tenth owner of this car, thus the damages, you know, you're working in an office but your car is like garbage." Rona annoyed him.

"This is the reason why I worked overtime to save some money so I can buy a new car and I won't let you ride my brand new car, anyway I'll just take you home."

"Not now! Let's go to the park so we can eat the food I took at the cafe."

"What? Let's just go home so my gas would not be wasted."

"And now you are trying to save gas, you're so stingy."

"I'm just joking , when did I ever refuse you?"  Raymond told her while scratching the back of his head while he continued driving to the park.

There are a lot of people scattered in the park even though it's already late at night. They just sat beside the lake. A strong wind blew that night.

"You're always glancing at me, do you have a crush on me."  Raymond teased her.

"You're really a thick faced guy, you think you're cute but you're just chubby!"

"Look who's talking!"

"I may not be as slim as your exes but I'm a good lover." Rona told him confidently.

"Really? You're a good lover? It's like when you and you're boyfriend have nowhere to sleep, you will willingly be his mattress." Raymond teased her then he ran away.

"You're so mean! But your car is like junk." Rona said while chasing him, they always tease and annoy each other until one of them got irritated. When they found a vacant table they start eating their food.

They met when they were in high school and they became good friends since then. After Raymond graduated in college he works in an office while Rona did not finish her studies due to financial problem, that's why she works as a cashier at the cafe near Raymond's office, Raymond always ask for discounts because he was a thrifty person but in return he offered to give Rona free ride to her home because their houses is in the same area. This is the reason that their co-workers taught they were a couple.
