Chapter 10- Awakened to Destruction

Rage! Rage!

She saw them, humans with weapons they were attacking her fellow GMNs. She didn't know they could bleed. The humans were horrible. They even employed electrocution. They were vicious. Few of them attacked her. They wore metal protectors but they were still no match for her. That was until she saw their arsenal. There were weapons with spikes and those that emitted some kind of gas. Assorted weapons some she didn't know their use. She tried to defend herself. She was still trying to constrain herself not to give into the mad lust for human blood and violence. They were too many in the limited space. Need to get them out. She thought to herself. 

She tried to look around to see her mates. They were bleeding and growing weak. She saw GMN-8, the very quiet one everyone seemed to be bigger than. She was surrounded by four men three times her size. She was already weak. They were coming at her with their weapons. GMN-1 tried to disentangle herself to help her but there were too many. There was a sound and bones shattered. Time froze as blood gushed. Her eyes were locked on GMN-8, locked on the blood and the attacker raising his hand for another strike.

At that moment GMN-1 roared like a wounded animal in great pain. She would always remember that something within her shattered. Her eyes turned blood red and she grew claws she didn't know she had. Something weird was going on with her body but she didn't care. She slashed at the throat of the one closest to her. Blood flowed. She felt exhilarated. Didn't know why and didn't care. She attacked more cutting slashing. Her clothes red, her face smeared, her claws dripping. The men became afraid and tried to retreat but she didn't let them, she wanted them all dead. Her fellow GMNs rushed to the battered GMN-8. She looked no bigger than a small human child of 13. She was bloodied with dislocated joints and a smashed skull that was still bleeding.

"She's bleeding so much" GMN-5 shouted.

"We need to get her to Mr. Deccan! " GMN-6 shouted

"GMN-1?"GMN-2 asked

"She needs back up to prevent them from following us"GMN-3 said

"2,4, and 7.you are the back up. Rest of you we need to get 8 help fast. We don't know how many more are still out there."GMN-6 said. Everyone rushed to do their part. GMN-3 carried 8 while the rest protected them.

"One! We need to keep them here. They are not to go after the others. 8 is badly injured. "GMN-2 said. The building shook. Was that an explosion or an earthquake?

"This side of the building has been damaged badly. " GMN-7 said as they fought. He was favoring a bruised side. Their attackers were fighting as if to get away maybe they noticed the shaking. "Two stories might come crashing down on us, we need to move fast"

Whatever they were saying, it was as if GMN-1 wasn't paying attention. She turned to slice off an attacker's body part and the three gasp and staggered back a little. They nearly died from a moments hesitation as assailants fought to get past them. This was what they were running from not the sound but they couldn't let them go because they could go after the others. GMN-1 didn't look like she wanted to let them go either. She was blood thirsty as she fought. They could hear her saying.

"Die all of you! Die! "

They had no idea what happened or what was happening but they needed to get out from under these parts. There were just few remaining, the building was going to collapse on them none the less because they couldn't run fast. Some parts had already begun.

"GMN-1 we need to get out of here! " GMN-4 said but there was no response. He said it again. GMN-1 just turned and said

"Go! " it wasn't a suggestion, it wasn't a plea, it was a command they found themselves subconsciously obeying. They got out before something crashed to block the door completely.

GMN-1 was left with five of the attackers who seemed terrified. She seemed to like them that way, enjoyed seeing their fear. They had nowhere to run and were weak from the fight. She advanced towards them slowly, daring them to muster the strength and fight but they couldn't. She knew that even as their brain screamed danger their body couldn't obey. As she advanced she stepped on the weapon used on GMN-8, she picked it up. Swinging it she connected with the jaw of one breaking it completely off his face. The rest looked on in horror. She advanced towards another hitting the stomach. Ribs crashed and punctured vital organs. The other tried to run and she caught him square on the neck, it was removed from the body.

"Please... " the other begged but she caught him with her hands around his throat and he went to meet his ancestors. The last hit his weapon on the glass and attempted to jump down. He'd rather kill himself than be killed by this monster but GMN-1 wasn't having any of that. She caught him by his leg as he attempted to jump, swung him around and slammed him full force into the wall. His body burst open.

Her head was pounding but it wasn't painful. She wasn't satisfied. She wanted to do more, inflict more. The memory of GMN-8's battered body and head kept replaying in her minds eyes. She clenched her hands into a fist. Her chest felt heavy. She could hear the words the man said as he delivered the blow.

"Die you abomination! "He had said. She felt enraged over again. The building was falling apart but she looked for his body. She found him dead in a pool of his own blood. She dragged him. Half of that side of the building had already collapsed to the floor she was on. There was no way out, the door was blocked. She looked around and her sight stopped at the broken window. Her instinct told her to jump. She walked towards the window dragging the dead body along with her. The building began collapsing in full force. She slipped through the freshly fallen decking, out the window loosing one of the dead man's hand.
