Settling down nicely

Ying Xuan signed, 'I don't care what that arrogant prat does.'

Shi Weiwei and Su Shaoyan seemed to take the hint as they dropped the topic and no more mention of Wei Jingyu was done.

The three met up with Lu Zuan on the way to the cafeteria.

Zuan hugged Weiwei before turning towards Xuan and looking at her for a long time before finally sighing and said, "It seems like you really can pull off anything you want."

Ying Xuan beamed as she signed, 'You look really good today.'

Lu Zuan: "Yeah well it's my usual style. I wouldn't dream of wearing this. I know I will look like an absolute disaster."

Xuan chuckled as Su Shaoyan said in a small voice, "Good morning Lu Zuan."

Lu Zuan rolled her eyes, "You don't have to sound like I'll eat you alive. And stop calling me Lu Zuan, just Zuan is fine."

Su Shaoyan also beamed as Ying Xuan smiled at Lu Zuan. It seemed like she was breaking the usual barriers the society had set and accepting Shaoyan slowly but surely.

Shi Weiwei interupted, "How about some breakfast? I'm starving."

Su Shaoyan chuckled, "Aren't you always?"

Shi Weiwei: "Yeah I am. Bite me."

The four laughed. They reached the cafeteria chatting and laughing and Ying Xuan, needless to say attracted stares of everyone along the way.

As they sat down and dug into their breakfast, Lu Zuan looked around and said, "I don't see Wei Jingyu here."

Ying Xuan's expression turned to one of disgust as she signed, 'Why did you have to go and mention him?'

Lu Zuan: "What I meant was that it's nice that he is not here. No big gang of boys swagging away in the cafeteria, disturbing our peace. But the downside...."

Lu Zuan turned around in her seat and Su Shaoyan finished her sentence, "All the people are utilising their stares at the only beauty in here, Xuan."

Shi Weiwei chuckled, "That's true. But where is Ying Xi anyway? I didn't see Mo Feng'er in the room today morning."

Ying Xuan shrugged, shook her head and and went back to her breakfast.

As Ying Xuan was walking back from class for lunch, she was quite alone. She hated Chinese literature, as there was not Weiwei, Zuan or Shaoyan in that class. And like icing on the cake, Wei Jingyu and Ying Xi had Chinese literature at the same time as her.

Xuan was looking forward to meeting everyone at lunch when a notice suddenly caught her eye.

It said that the trials of the sport teams would be held on the coming Sunday. Ying Xuan calculated, Sunday was the day after tomorrow. "All right! This week just got a whole lot better." Ying Xuan exclaimed to herself. She had really been looking forward to the team trials.

Xuan was hoping to get in the basketball team. Though she was good and could outplay even the boys of her class, who knew what kind of girls would show up at the trials.

Ying Xuan was engrossed in her thoughts, she had not noticed a boy coming over and standing beside her. So she was startled when the boy spoke, "Hello."

Ying Xuan looked at him in surprise.
