Was that Wei Jingyu?

Ying Xuan sat up and stretched in her bed.

She opened the window to let the cool air in and then looked towards the other side of the room.

As usual, Ying Xi was not there. Xuan sighed as she got up. "I really hope she doesn't get into some serious trouble. It's almost like I haven't seen her during the past month." Xuan thought to herself as she had a quick shower and changed into sport shorts and her team jersey.

As she came out of the dorms, due to her habit, Ying Xuan looked towards the cherry tree just ahead and sure enough, there was Wei Jingyu, leaning against the tree smiling at her. He had a cigarette in his hand which he crushed when he saw Xuan walking over.

Jingyu greeted Ying Xuan, "Morning love. How are you today?"

Ying Xuan shook her head and signed, 'You really shouldn't smoke these. They are bad for your health.'

Wei Jingyu said as he started to stretch, "I'll quit when you'll become my girlfriend."

Ying Xuan: 'Fuck off.' She then started to jog.

Soon, Wei Jingyu caught up with her and the two had their usual run around the campus and workout.

Wei Jingyu walked her back to the dorms and said goodbye and see you soon.

Ying Xuan walked in, shaking her head.

She had to acknowledge Wei Jingyu's persistence and determination. Just like he had said, Jingyu had started to change for the better. Though he got angry anyway, he now controlled it better and was not violent.

Jingyu had also become a lot more polite, so much so that many girls had picked up the courage to ask him out, which was a hassle for him, as he usually complained to Ying Xuan.

He also seemed adamant about making Ying Xuan go out with him. And though she didn't have much romantic feeling for him, Xuan couldn't help but think that Jingyu would make a good boyfriend.

As Ying Xuan entered her room, she was shocked. Ying Xi was sitting and glaring at Xuan, still wearing the clothes in which she had gone out last night. But what had shocked Xuan was Xi's hair. She had cut them a little so that her hair were much the same length as Xuan's, and had even dyed the exact same lock of hair the exact same shade of blue.

For a moment Ying Xuan's eyes lingered on the streak of blue in Xi's mud coloured hair, when Ying Xi suddenly spoke, "What?"

Ying Xuan shook her head and started to walk towards the bathroom.

But Ying Xi's voice rung out from behind her, "Wait."

Ying Xuan turned around. "That was Wei Jingyu, wasn't it?" Xi asked, her voice a little shaky.

Xuan nodded, wondering why was any conversation the two sisters had in the past month, though none lasted more than seven sentences, revolved around Wei Jingyu.

Xi spoke again, "What were you guys talking about?"

Normally, Ying Xuan would have shrugged to say nothing, or told Xi it was none of her business, but that day something in Xuan snapped. She took out her phone, typed, 'He was asking me to be his girlfriend.'

And hit send to Ying Xi.

Ying Xi stared at her mobile screen for a long time before standing up and glaring at Xuan and running out of the room.
