An idiot

"Did you even think what they would have done!!!! What I would have done??" Jingyu started, but he asked upon looking at Xuan's face, "What?!?!?! Why are you looking at me like that?"

Ying Xuan was looking at Wei Jingyu like he was the biggest idiot in the world. After a few seconds of them staring at each others faces, Xuan began to laugh. Her body started to shake and she began to gasp for breath as she wiped away the tears still on her face. "What?!?!?! What!!!!!!!" Jingyu asked, all his anger vanishing upon the sight of Xuan laughing and instead a gleeful curiosity taking it's place.

Ying Xuan only shook her head and gasped for breath as she continued to laugh, which made Jingyu all the more restless. He wrapped his arms around her waist and pulled her close, his voice dangerously low, "If you don't tell me what's so funny right now. I swear you're gonna regret it." Xuan was shocked and looked into his light brown eyes, knowing he was not kidding, but she couldn't stop herself and burst into another laugh. Wei Jingyu groaned in frustration but Xuan managed to sign in between her laughs, 'Can you just use your mind for once. How did you come to the conclusion that I was going to take my life?'

Jingyu stood stunned upon making sense of this. Ying Xuan, was not about to jump? "What were you doing on the railing then?" he asked.

'You know how much I like high places. I just needed to clear my head.' Xuan signed, 'Besides. it's nice to know you still care.' She then laid her head on Wei Jingyu's chest and pulled him into a long hug. Jingyu also tightened his grasp on her waist and put his chin over Xuan's head, mumbling, "Of course I do."

Ying Xuan would have loved to stay like this forever, but she felt Jingyu pulling back and did the same. But Wei Jingyu kept one of his hands around her waist and reached out to cup her cheek with the other. He caressed the spot he had just slapped, which was already turning red and whispered, "I'm so sorry. I promised you I would start working on my anger management issues, but I just lose it whenever you are concerned."

Xuan leaned into his warm palm and her thin lips formed into a small smile. 'It's okay. You're trying, and you have improved a lot.' she signed, closing her eyes, enjoying Jingyu's presence, which she had missed so much. Though they had not been talking only for a couple of days, it had felt like months to her.

Ying Xuan herself did not realize it, but she had grown very used to having Wei Jingyu around, and had maybe even started to fall for him a bit.

"Though I would love to create a moment here, I seem to have forgotten my jacket back at my room." Wei Jingyu spoke after a minute, as a cold wind ripped through the night. "And I'm sure you would like your partner not to have a runny nose at the ball. Just imagine, we are both dancing, and I go 'aaaaaaccchhhhhooooooooooo'." he continued. Ying Xuan chuckled and dragged him from the roof before signing, 'Of course not. I've worked so hard on your costume. I would hate to spoil it.'
