Sitting on a tree stump, gathering my thoughts, and regaining control. The other servant girl probably escaped and got Cody. I'm glad she did...
Luna.
Don't you know it's dangerous to follow someone who's almost out of control? I muttered loud enough for him to hear.
I had a lot of experience with Alpha, Luna. Cody said, with a smile like he was remembering the past.
What happened to him? Just tell me, no more secrets and lies. I said looking up at him.
Alpha didn't want you to worry, so he told us to keep it a secret.
Tell me! I yelled in a demanding voice.
There was an accident, one of the soldiers tripped who was accompanying the Alpha as bait. The others were already pushing rocks, crushing the rogues that followed Alpha into the valley. In order to save the young warrior, Alpha used his body as a shield, covering the boy. They got trapped under the fallen rocks.
Cody said with regret written all over his face.
Why didn't you dig him out?! Is he okay?! Tears started rolling down my eyes, fear of losing my mate written all over my face.
He's unconscious, but the warrior he saved said he was alive with heavy wounds. Cody hesitated to tell me. If we pull a single rock out, then the whole cave they are trapped in will collapse on itself.
Can you dig under and get them out?! I said, thinking of more ways to save him.
The ground is too hard, the valley is too uneven for vehicles. Cody said.
Then I'll go and dig him out! I said.
No, Luna. No werewolf can dig through silver fragments in the ground.
I grabbed Cody's collar, pulling him to my face. Look in my eyes! Letting Esmon come out a little, fear across Cody's face. The only emotion other than regret I have seen him express. I threw him on the ground. Get the car ready, I'll be down in 10.
Cody didn't say anything, and did as he was told, thinking. What is he? the whole time. Just as Zeno said, ten minutes and he was in the car with outdoor clothing on.
The car ride was silent. Cody kept glancing at me from time to time. What are you? He finally asked, breaking the silence. Dragon and werewolf. I mumbled not caring for his shocked expression. Just drive! I said out of annoyance. Yes, Luna.
In a day we made it to the entrance of the Valley. We have to hike from here on. Said Cody. No, Shift. I said while stripping my clothes behind the car, away from Cody's eyes. Yes, luna. Was all he replied.
While we were running with our clothes in our mouths Cody asked. Can you turn into a dragon? I came to a sudden halt, dropping my clothes from my mouth. If you ever asked that again, I'll rip your tongue from your face! I hissed. I hate this question the most. I can but I am ashamed to say, I can only turn into a baby dragon. I guess due to my being a half-blood. But I won't tell anyone that.
Then three days later, we reached where Damon was. I could smell his scent from under the rocks. Soldiers in tents, trying to figure out how to get there alpha out. Servants running around, delivering food to the tents.
I tried cutting through the ground in my wolf form. It didn't work. Esmon laughing at me while Victor pouting cause he couldn't save his mate.
Blushing, I went into an empty servants camp, shamefully letting Esmon take control. In dragon form, I was as big as a German shepherd, obsidian black with blue crystals going from the back of my neck to the tip of my tail. But the worst part of transforming into a dragon, it took me a while to turn back.
I came out of the servant's tent, where I guess
Cody gathered everyone. Seeing me in dragon form, they all gasped. I ignored them, walking a few feet in front of them, and start to dig. I dug for what felt like ages, following my mates smell, until I was finally right under them.
