A trip to the Museum.

The Museum of Cairo was a really an awesome place filled with the relics of history. It was way better in comparison to the other museums that he visited in the past, mainly due to its content and location.

It was about Egypt...In Egypt! It's was no wonder, that it contained a much greater repertoire of ancient relics for him to see.

Konrad always liked the Egyptian history and Mythology, so the place just clicked for him.

He and Octavia spend many hours traversing the corridors, looking at all the different objects and enjoying their time together.

There was also another awesome part of their museum trip...Konrad could use his Observe skill to learn much more about the relics than the Archeologists and scientists that uncovered and studied them!

It was a real surprise when one of the unidentified Mummies turned out to be called Larry...Larry! How could an egyptian Mummy be called Larry?!

Konrad decided to shrug this off and look further into the exposition.

There was a few fakes among the treasures, but they were there because of people's ignorance and not deliberately. Seems like even with all their knowledge, the researchers still couldn't recognize them.

Konrad was hoping to find some kind of magic artifact like the Amulet Of Phobos, but so far he had no luck...but the place was quiet big, And there was still an even bigger museum to visit later!

All in all...Even if he didn't find anything, Konrad would still have enjoyed the stroll through the museums so it would not be a waste of time...And Octavia Had a lot of fun asking him about everything she saw around.

It was around two hours into their time in the museum When Konrad finally found something slightly magical in nature.

[• Meteoric dagger Of Tutankhamen •]

| Status - Good

| Rank - C

| Rarity - A

| Material - Meteoric Iron/Gold

| Mana capacity - 2/5

| Description: A Dagger that belonged to the Pharaoh Tutankhamen. It was crafted two years before his death by the greatest blacksmith of his time using a piece of meteorite. The dagger features a decorated gold handle and a gold sheath with a floral lily motif on one side and a feather pattern on the other. Due to the usage of Meteoric Iron and Gold, the dagger became a low class magic weapon even without a proper refining process. The fine craftsmanship, the chosen materials and the minuscule amount of Mana absorbed from the surroundings, allowed the dagger to survive almost in perfect state for over 3300 years in a more or less undamaged state.

__________

Konrad looked at the dagger in amazement. It was a part of a set of two daggers, with the other one made completely from hardened gold, but only the Meteoric Dagger was a Magic Weapon. It brought to him a question whether meteorites actually possessed some magical properties or was there another reason?

Whatever the case was, it was the first time for Konrad to see an actual magical weapon and he wanted to examine the thing even if only to see how it would work when fully charged. He probably needed to get himself some meteorite in the future...

Of course as the dagger was actually one of the more famous exhibits, Konrad couldn't take it with himself, even if he could easily do it...He didn't want to steal.

But the fact that there was actually something like this present in here, gave him the hope of finding more.

Konrad and Octavia continued their searching stroll until finally finding something else that interested them.

It wasn't really magical in nature but it was made from a magical metal nonetheless...Probably...

But what grabbed his interest wasn't the item itself but rather it's description.

[• Ring of The Amir Family •]

| Rank - F

| Rarity - B

| Status - Magical Degradation/Eroded

| Material - Orichalcum (Magical Degradation - Iron)

| Description: The Ring of the Noble Amir Family of Egyptia. Formerly made out of Orichalcum, due to XXXX Degraded And transformed into simple Iron, loosing the magical properties it possessed on the day of it's creation over 10 000 years ago.

It was saved from total destruction thanks to his former wearer who on the extent of his entire Mana saved the ring and unknowingly his own life as well.

From grief over his family though, the owner died not too long later, leaving the ring to slowly degrade, and many years later fall into the hands of an Archeologists William Johnson.

_________

This ring was a quintessence of bizarre origin... He could understand the fact of being a ring of a family head But that was about all he understood....What was all this?!

Egyptia? Not Egypt? And What is that Magical Degradation?! No...What's more important...that thing was over ten thousand years old!!! How...but...what?! This didn't make Any sense!

Konrad couldn't wrap his head around this new stack of information. He knew that he was looking for magic artifacts but the most he expected to find were some magic inscription or one or two items made from Blessed Silver.

And now he encounters this!

The more Konrad thought about it, the more a picture slowly emerged in his head. Something must have happened many years ago. This XXXX... this restricted information was somehow related to the reason of why there is so little magic. This Magical Degradation and this whole 'Egyptia'...There was still some pieces missing but Konrad was sure that he would one day figure it out!

With that resolve confirmed, Konrad continued his stroll but he couldn't find anything more interesting. There was only a few simple magic inscriptions that were probably placed by their creators by accident because of being so incomplete. No wonder that old man had to mix writings from multiple civilizations to make the formation. Looking at it from this perspective, he was really a genius!

_________

It was already very late when Konrad and octavia were finally done with this Museum. They left it, and walked back to their Hotel without any stops, reaching it in only twenty minutes. Way faster than when they were going in the opposite direction.

Tomorrow, they would be going towards the Grand Egyptian Museum. It was much bigger than the museum they visited today but it was supposedly still not completely open so he hoped to profit from this Adventure one way or another. After all, knowledge is power!

___________

The duo stood in from of the Grand Egyptian Museum with their mouth agape. Konrad knew that the place was 'Grand'...But boy! did they want to shame the pyramids?! The place was huge, the architecture was top notch and Konrad was sure that none of the Pharaohs would be ashamed of this building...

That the entrance fee was also enormous wasn't that surprising, when he actually looked at the place...

Of course the ticket wasn't a problem for Konrad but it costed at least five times more than a regular museum! Thankfully the ticket was for three days so that was at least some consolation...

_________

The place was really a work of art. Konrad and Octavia strolled around, observing everything with excitement and they couldn't satiate their curiosity! Wherever they went, there was something new to see! True, a big chunk of the museum was still not open, but it didn't make him in any way regret coming here. Even though they couldn't find anything magic in nature, just the chance to visit this place was worth all the trouble.

Because the place was too big for him to use Observe on each and every Exhibit, They decided to briefly pass the entire Museum with his Mana Sense heightened to the extreme.

As the day was slowly coming to an end, Konrad and Octavia decided to visit the last hall they were yet to pass through, which housed a number of big obelisks.

Just as they entered the hall, Konrad felt a barely perceptible change in the Mana around them.

The natural flow of Ambient Mana in the surroundings was somehow... disturbed?

Konrad tried to find the source of the disturbance, but it was as if it came from all around them! It was as if...the Obelisks were the source!
