The four Princesses were in Licha's room, helping her get ready for the big day!
Brunia asked, "Why on earth are we helping Licha get ready? What's the occasion?"
Kaira replied, "You forgot? Licha and Prince Licht are going out on a date, so we're helping her get ready for the same."
Leonora scoffed, "Hmph. Can't she dress up herself?"
Brunia added, "Yeah... I mean whatever items of clothing we would suggest, Licha would just propose something lewd instead, so there's barely any prospect of us being here.
Licha countered, "Hey, it will be nice to get some opinion about this!"
Kaira added, "It's fun, I thought it would be an excellent opportunity to strengthen our relationship as sisters."
Leonora derided, "Yeah yeah... now show us what you have in mind, Licha."
Licha took out a dress and asked, "Well... how's this?"
Brunia remarked, "Wow! I have never seen anything like it! The design is so original and phenomenal! Licha, where did you get this dress?"
Licha stammered, "Umm.. f-from Vermillion Unlimited!"
Brunia responded, "Wow! This dress is not lewd at all! I love it! You must wear this for your umm... whatever you and Licht are doing."
Licha blushed and answered, "Okay, I will. Thanks, Brunie!" While she snuck herself in the washroom to change, she thought, "I can't believe that Brunie acknowledged my designer dress for the second time! Well... as long as she doesn't find out about my job at the store or the fact that I designed that dress, I will be absolutely fine." She came out of the restroom and modeled in her very own designer dress.
The three sisters applauded and complimented Licha's outfit.
Kaira stated, "You look beautiful. Now, Licht delivered a message that he will be waiting for you at Cafe Mitter Meyer, and both of you will be departing from there."
Leonora added, "Yeah... to protect your cover so that you won't be sent to the guillotine, you won't be going by carriage, you might have to walk."
Licha squealed, "Walk!? This is going to be fun; Granzreich, here I come!" The three sisters wished Licha luck, and the Princess departed from the palace in no time.
She arrived at the Cafe Licht suggested, and walked over to the reception and asked, "Sir, I just need to make one quick call, may I please use this landline?"
The man at the counter asked, "Where do you wish to call, my dear?"
Licha answered, "Cumsta, the capital city of Vermillion, I need to get in touch with the Vermillion Unlimited store." The man dialed the number for her, handed over the phone and left the counter to manage the cafe. Licha spoke on the phone, "Hello, is this the Master of the tailoring shop Vermillion Unlimited? Sir, I just wanted to inform you that I won't be able to attend a few shifts due to some personal affairs."
The woman over the phone replied, "Rachel?! You can't just bail on us like that! Your shift will be starting at 1 in the afternoon and will be concluded only at 5 as the store is jam-packed today. Get your butt over here on time, okay! Please, the establishment is depending on you!"
Licha responded, "But ma'am, I won't be able to make it! Can't I be assigned another one?"
The woman over the phone yelled, "I'm sorry, Rachel, but you have to be there today! That's it, end of discussion!" And she slammed the landline on the Princess's face.
Licha murmured her herself in panic, "God! This is not good! How in the blazes am I supposed to make it there on time?!"
Licha turned around to see Prince Licht in a waiter's uniform! Both of them stared at each other in disbelief, and Licha asked, "Licht? What are you doing here?! You work here!? And how much of that did you hear!?"
Licht sighed with defeat and replied, "Yes, it's me, Prince Licht. But only in the palace, in here, people know me as Richard. And yes, I heard that exchange of yours over the phone."
Licha begged, "Please don't tell my family, they will kill me to death!"
Licht responded, "Don't worry, I won't. But I certainly didn't expect you to find my cover; father told me to act like a Prince who isn't working in a cafe just for this assignment. Or else, I don't even live in the palace anymore."
Licha asked in curiosity, "You don't live there anymore? What does that mean?"
Licht answered, "Well... I am still a Prince of the Granzreich kingdom, but I am not in the royal line of succession because I don't really have aspirations for the throne. My big brothers are excellent candidates for the throne, and there's no chance that I would get to be king given that I'm fifth in line. Also, this cafe has opened up a second branch, so I was supposed to take on more shifts. My father already knows about me working here, but he still let me continue, thanks to Professor Heine; who has just gone home. And he proposed that I work one shift per week, initially. But when the inauguration of the second branch came into public and when I was offered to take on more times, I had to make a choice. I wanted to be a man like my father with a job that I love as the Master of this place, so that's why I quit."
Licha responded, "Wow! It must have been quite a journey for you. In my world, mother knows that I work at the tailoring shop but, like you said, thanks to Professor Heidi, I work there once a week. But now since the store is bustling today, I have to rush to Cumsta to take charge there. I have no idea what to do!"
Licht proposed, "Hey! I just had an idea! What if we take Master's super agile electric bike and rush to Cumsta? See, by carriage, it takes about 5-6 hours, and it's just 8 am. So if we take the bike, we might reach there within 4-5 hours! And your shift ends at 5, right? So, we have rush back, and hopefully, we will be home by dinner, and no one will ever know where we were."
Licha asked, " Wow! Reckless and sexy! Is there anything that you can't do?! But we just have one problem. Will the Master even accommodate you his bike?"
Licht answered with confidence, "You leave that to me!"
Licht advanced over to the Master and requested cordially, "Master, can I please borrow your bike for a few hours?"
The Master raised an eyebrow and questioned, "What makes you think that I will empower you to do that, Richard?"
Licht answered, "Well... if you don't lend me that vehicle, I will tell all the patrons of how you have been deceiving to them that you're felicitously espoused and that your so-called wife isn't dying of cancer."
The Master glanced at his employee with panic and then threw the keys saying, "Alright, go! Knock yourself out! But, hey, I want this back by tonight, safe and sound."
Licht squealed, "Will do! Thanks!" He rushed over to Licha, hurried towards the vehicle, started the ignition and flee in full speed out of the cafe premises.
When they appeared at the toll of the borderline of the two countries, the police officer recognized Licha and granted her to enter the kingdom without assessment! Soon enough, they reached at Cumsta, the national capital of the Vermillion kingdom.
Licht exclaimed, "WOW! You must be extraordinarily popular here! Also, I didn't comprehend that the Vermillion kingdom was a neighboring country of Granzreich."
Licha replied, "Yeah, but like you, my name is Rachel here. No one knows that I'm a Princess, except for a few guys that I brought to the palace previously. Oh, hold this bike here. This is the store where I strive." Both of them parked and descended from the vehicle to find the shop bustling with life!
Licha deluded into the changing compartment, embedded into her uniform, and reported for her duty on time. While Licha was stitching intricate designs, merchandising pieces of equipment to patrons, Licht solely remained there and perceived everything around him and was astonished to ascertain that the Princess was merely a female version of him. He was amazed by the reality that Licha had ambition pervaded within her and savored her commitment at the store.
He thought while sampling his coffee and relishing his biscuits, "Well... Licha is an extraordinary designer! It will be a degradation to see such raw talents going to waste! Perhaps if I give her the right push, she might even get a prospect to enhance her talents. I don't know whether she has aspirations for sovereignty. This is not the appropriate occasion to interrogate her about it. I will bring up the subject some other time."
As the clock struck five, Licha accepted her paycheck, she purchased some food for herself and the Prince and departed back to Grazreich with him. On their way back,
Licha asked, "So, you got a chance to see my work today; how did I do?"
Licht answered, "I think you did exceptionally! And your ideas are phenomenal!"
Licha responded, "Yeah, that's what Brunie said about my designer dress that I'm wearing right now. I made it myself."
Licht shrieked, 'WHAT!? YOU MADE THIS DRESS!!!???"
Licha replied, "Yeah... why are you so startled?"
Licht overlooked her interrogation and recommended, "I have a truth and a dare for you."
Licha smiled and responded, "Okay! I'm all ears!"
Licha inquired, "Who is your preferred fashion designer?"
Licha answered, "Jean-Paul Gaultier from Paris, obviously."
Licht continued, "Excellent! I just discovered that he's seeking for an intern whom he will make perpetual at his fashion industry."
Licha supplemented, "Yep. That's all over the fashion publications."
Licht proceeded, "So, I dare you to send a letter to him saying that you accept the post and courier this dress as a sample proving that you're eligible."
Licha gazed at the Prince, gave out a fake laugh and said, "HA! That would never even befall in my wildest dreams!"
Licht responded, "I do not detect a resounding 'no,' but why would you think that's it's out of your ability?"
Licha evoked, "Licht if I choose to go there, then I have to abandon my claim to the throne as I will have limited time to serve the kingdom!"
Licht argued, "So you want to go but you can't?"
Licha screamed, "That is not what I said!"
Licht yelled even more boisterously, "LICHA! YOU CAN LIE TO ME ALL YOU WANT BUT YOUR FACE ISN'T GOING TO DO THAT FOR YOU!"
Licha gave up and said, "Alright, fine; I desire to go! And that assignment is my dream! But--"
Licht interrupted her, "But what?! Do you seriously think that your impossible claim to the throne is more important than what you want to do!?"
Licha replied, "No! I have been keeping this yearning request inside me for so long just because my mother would at least discern that I'm trying my best to maintain my claim!"
Licht countered, "What if you fail to become Queen? Even if you do become one day, it is only momentary! What do you intend to do after that? Being a Princess and getting cooped up in the palace until you're married off to someone in some other domain!? Licha, you have ambition and expertise within you, and I have regarded it! If you communicate to your mother about this smoothly, she will entertain, I apprehend she will. Trust me."
Licha asked, "Okay! What do you suggest I should do first?"
Licht suggested, "Convey that report to Paris along with your sample for the meantime. Then when the message comes within a few months, tell your mother about how you feel and make your proposal in the strongly conceivable way. If she sees that you're extremely earnest about this, there's no way that she will decline."
Licha nodded with approval and said, "Thanks, Licht. But I just have one question now. What are we going to say to our families when they ask how our date went?"
Licht answered, "Ah, just tell them we only to the town carnival near the coffee shop, did some window shopping and had some food. And that I compensated for everything, okay?"
Licha asked, "Alright, then. But I have another question to ask you, and I solicit you to clarify uprightly. Would you contemplate this adventure to Cumsta as a certified date?"
Licht grinned and replied, "Yes! I have gone with multiple partners that I don't even retrieve the exact count. But this was the best one I ever had."
Licha smiled and teased, "Well... I bet that if we bug Bruno and Brunia by saying that we're actually dating, it will drive them nuts!"
Licht burst into laughter and squealed, "YES! That would be a fun scene to watch!" After that, they both conversed cheerfully, restored the bike to the proprietor of the cafe and returned home safely and on time for dinner.
