As destined, Michael, Andrew, Chantel, and Aubrey arrived at the royal castle of Ofdain to commence their journey of slaving as the palace staff pay for their college fee. The carriage arrived at the palace gates rattling down the roads from Granzreich to Ofdain. The King, Queen, Prince, Princess Brunia, and both the Professors were at the entrance to welcome the newly employed palace staff.
As they descended the carriage and bowed in front of the King and Queen and greeted each other, their eyes widened with surprise at the sight of Brunia and both the Professors standing right in front of them. Michael squealed, "Brunia and the Professors?! What on earth are you guys doing here?"
Brunia posed another question, "And what are you guys goings here?! This isn't Cusmta!"
Andrew responded, "We know that, and we work here."
Professor Heine screamed with surprise, "WHAT!? Why?"
Chantel was fidgeting with her fingers while she spoke, "Umm... okay! How to put this gently... umm...you see that Bruno's wedding had assassins in it?"
Brunia raised an eyebrow and asked, "Yeah, but what does that have to do with you being here?"
Aubrey screamed, "Alright! Please cut out with the suspense and the awkwardness! That was us!"
Brunia yelled, "You invaded in Bruno's wedding?!"
Andrew responded, "Brunia, we really didn't have a choice there! Don't worry, Bruno is not married to Sennett; the wedding has been called off, and he is still alive and looking for you! The Princes and Princesses planned an elaborate escape with the help of Prince Leonhard's and Princess Leonora's superpowers and with the royal guards; Ludwig and Maximilian."
Michael added, "We made a deal with the Princes and Princesses that they will help us in getting this job to pay for our college fee which can finally release us from our lives as helpless children. We were the ones who caught Sennett and found proof against her, but we requested that our names should not be portrayed on television; we want total privacy for us."
Aubrey made a disgusted face and said, "Yeah, especially me!"
Professor Heidi asked in curiosity, "What on earth is that supposed to mean?"
Chantel responded, "To get my hands on that tape, the administrator needed to be distracted so, Aubrey had to dress up as somebody who would--"
Brunia screamed, "OKAY OKAY! I GET IT!"
Michael raised an eyebrow and asked, "Wait, I don't get it. What do you mean by dressing up as someone who what?"
Professor Heine bluntly replied, "What Chantel is trying to say is that Aubrey had to prostitute herself so that she could distract the manager, am I correct, Chantel?" Chantal nodded her head with approval, whereas Aubrey was hiding her face with embarrassment.
Michael shrieked, "WHAT I THE BLAZES KIND OF A PLAN WAS THAT!? COULDN'T YOU THINK OF ANOTHER WAY!?"
Chantel burst into laughter and responded, "Hey Michael! Don't worry, the plan was to drag him before any of that thing what you don't want to happen happened, so please relax man! Plus it was the only idea I could come up at the time, and it was not like Aubrey was excited to do it; plus, it was hilarious to watch that!"
Andrew looked at Brunia and questioned, "Anyhoo, we explained ourselves, I think it is about time that the three of you elucidate what is going on here."
Brunia stepped forward and spoke, "The King here, Zibiah Von Ofdain; and the Queen, Noreena Von Ofdain are my biological parents. I didn't know that they were here for so many years, and by happenstance, I found out; the same goes for Mistress and Master being here."
The King proposed, "Why don't you guys visit the country mountains and go tubing together?"
The Queen added, "Yes, that is a beautiful idea! You guys needn't start work from today, that is tomorrow's worry. Since the four of you are such good friends, you and the Professor's must take the carriage and spend the day there; I can promise you that it will be a worthwhile experience. In the meanwhile, the King and I will command our attendants to take your luggage to the servant quarters, is that okay?" Michael, Andrew, Chantel, and Aubrey squealed with glee and everyone dressed up in their winter outfits and took off to the mountains.
As they arrived at the establishment that rented tubes to slide down the soft snowy hill, they stopped by a restaurant first before commencing their recreational activity. They were seated by a hostess and were bought their order of soft drinks after a few minutes. Soon enough, even the main courses appeared. Andrew glanced at Aubrey's food and asked, "Yikes! Why do you have dry pasta, wouldn't you put some sauce or something?"
Aubrey glared at Andrew and responded by tightening her mouth, "This was the only food item they had that didn't contain any tomatoes, milk, cheese, orange, capsicum or banana!" Andrew raised an eyebrow and looked at Michael for an explanation.
Michael was trying to hide his laughter but then composed himself and answered, "Andrew, my girlfriend here is lactose intolerant and is allergic to everything except dry pasta." Andrew and Chantel burst into laughter, and soon enough, Michael found himself to do the same thing.
Aubrey yelled in frustration, "HAHAHA! VERY FUNNY! NOW, CAN WE PLEASE MOVE ON!?"
Brunia suggested, "You know the most exciting part of being the youngest doctor is to conduct experiments to prove them as pseudoscience or real science."
Chantel asked with curiosity, "What is pseudoscience? And more importantly, did you say that you are a doctor?!"
Brunia replied, "Yes, I'm the youngest doctor in the history of Granzreich, Cumsta, Rathanlandia, Ringelstein, and Ofdain. I received my doctorate after concluding my studies with Doctor Dmitria and took an examination to be bestowed with the post of posing as a doctor for the entire kingdom of Ofdain. My parents granted me permission to work here for the duration of my stay. Someday, I need to go back to Granzreich to be with my sisters, though I don't know where they are--"
Andrew interrupted by saying, "Sorry to cut you off Brunia, but I really needed to ask, do you want to know where they are? Because if you do, we have the answer for it."
Brunia answered, "No. I will hear your answer when I am ready to; I'm just overwhelmed right now. I think the most important thing I need to analyze my situation and calm myself down, or else my paralyzation and suddenly relapse; no one wants that to happen, so I am not really ready to hear it."
She then continued, "I was going to say, how would you think that Aubrey's little dry pasta would react if we place it with coke and a few vegetables to top it off?"
Aubrey raised an eyebrow and growled, "Dare you to do that, Brunia! That coke is the only thing I have that suits my taste!" Brunia however, snatched her glass, poured some pasta and mixed a few legumes in that that caused the coke to fizz out and make bubbles in the drink. Andrew lifted up the glass and consumed the liquid in it!
Chantel made a disgusted look and yelled, "YUCK! How can you possibly do that!?"
Andrew commented, "Chantel, it is not as bad as it seems; here, Professor Heine, why wouldn't you give it a shot?"
Professor Heine replied, "Andrew, there is no way I am going to do that!"
Professor Heidi remarked, "Yeah, that's because Heine is a coward."
Chantel burst into loud and uncontrolled laughter and squealed, "Yeesh! Professor Heine just got burned!"
Heine raised an eyebrow and asked, "Heidi, are you seriously testing my patience and courage just over this disgusting drink?"
Heidi bluntly replied, "I am. If you are not a coward, prove it."
Heine responded, "This is preposterous if you would be in my place you couldn't possibly--" Heidi interrupted him by snatching the glass from Andrew's hand and gulping down the entire fluid contained within it. She didn't even flinch, and her expression was bluntly stoic.
She commented, "See, it's not that bad." Heine's expression darkened, and his face flushed red with anguish and defeat.
He commanded, "Princess Brunia, prepare another glass for me!" Brunia obeyed his order and placed the half-pint in front of him to drink. Heine lifted the glass and gulped it down with a peculiar burning sensation in his throat. Heine screamed, "AHHHHH!!!! GOTTA GO TO THE BATHROOM!!!" And he fled from the table and rushed to the restroom. He came back with a drained expression spread across his face, and whimpered, "Can we please go tubing now?" The group shared a laugh, rented the tubes, and climbed on the hill to slide down the soft snowy path.
Andrew asked in curiosity, "So, now that we are at the top, how does this exactly work, Professor Heine?"
Heine explained, "The low amount of friction between most tubes and snow allows tubers to reach considerable speeds while riding, especially on--"
Andrew scoffed, "UGH! We know about that, okay! I just wanted to ask that in the brochures outside the establishment, they showed that several people can slide down the hill together. How do we go about that?"
Brunia took the rope that came along with the tubes and elucidated, "We take these ropes and tie them at the handles at each tube has, we need to accomplish this task in such a way that the seven of us are connected and slide down the mountain together." She then went about the procedure and tied the ropes that assembled the tubes together that were ready for use.
Heidi then articulated, "Take your places, everyone!"
Chantel whimpered, "Well, it was nice knowing you guys, I hope that the authorities know about my will!"
Brunia responded, "Chantel, relax! It's not like we're going to die, it's safe; look, many other people are doing it."
Heidi called out a man walking across them, "Hey sir! Would you mind giving us a push?"
The man replied, "Absolutely!" He then pushed them at the edge of the hill, and the seven of them were accelerating down in a glorious breeze! Everyone screamed in terror, especially Chantel, who yelled, "I AM GOING TO DIEEEEE!!!!!!"
Professor Heidi was too daint and diminutive to hold on that she fell off the tire and onto the snowy mountain! She somehow didn't let go of the handle, but she screamed, "AHHH!!!! WHAT IN THE DEVIL IS THIS!! MMPHRH!--" And she screeched out those words, she was interrupted by the snow stuffing into her mouth that splashed over her by the tires, and they went down the hill. They finally slowed down as they reached the bottom of the mountain.
As they stopped, Aubrey jumped off the tube and squealed with delight, "AHHHHHH!!!!! THAT WAS AWESOME!!"
Heidi whimpered from the back, "Someone, please help me!" Heine rushed towards her side and helped her to rise up. They eventually realized the fun behind this, and wished to go to the top again; do it a thousand times. At that moment, all of them sensed something that they never experienced before. An immense pleasure and joy was generating from their hearts and were lifted with high spirits that they firmly believed in and felt like no one or nobody could make the experience any more perfect than it already was. None of them could ever trade this recreational experience for anything else in the world. After repeating the different rides for a few hours, they were exhausted. They filled themselves up in a restaurant, boarded the carriage, arrived at the Ofdain palace at midnight and fell into a deep slumber in their respective rooms.
