Chapter 94: Flash

Chapter 94: Flash

Rao looked curiously at the item Kara was holding in her hand. He examines the item with his eyes and realizes that it is just a small brooch with the symbol of lightning, but seeing how Kara was reacting with an expression as if she found something very important when holding the brooch in her hands, he supposed that brooch is not a common item.

Kara was very happy! She knew that the person who sent her to this universe would not leave her helpless, she didn't know who was responsible for sending her to this unknown universe, but when she saw the lightning bolt symbol on the brooch, her question was quickly cleared up.

Without worrying about Rao and the Martian, Kara presses the lightning bolt symbol and then a hologram of a man wearing a red suit with a lightning bolt symbol appears:

"Flash ..." She was shocked, she was not shocked to see Flash, she was shocked to see the worn suit and tired expression of the hero, she immediately realized that this was not the Flash she knew.

'Oh?' Rao observed everything with interest shining in his eyes, he was quite curious how the scanners could not identify this item on Kara's ship, after all, before this ship was placed here, the ship underwent a very rigorous check.

But when he remembered that this ship must have come from an alternate universe in which time was long in the future, he was not so surprised. If Kara of that universe survived, that means that Jor-El was successful in saving Kal-El, and probably Krypton's last heir has access to technology from his former planet.

And probably over time, Krypton's last survivor was able to update the technology he received to new heights.

But that was just speculation by Rao himself, he cannot make a definitive thought before he has concrete evidence about the whole situation in which he finds himself. Honestly? One side of Rao just wanted to order the Martian to invade Kara's mind and receive all the information he needs, but he didn't do it. Although this Kara is different from the one he knows, this was still the daughter of his teacher, and he did not want to harm Alura In-Ze's last 'heir'. Although a situation arises in which Kara becomes his enemy, he would not hesitate to make more aggressive decisions.

As has been proven in the past with Jor-El's situation, Rao places a high value on his teachers, but that does not mean that he would put his race at risk because of this emotional attachment.

For now, Rao has not decided to take aggressive measures in relation to Kara's situation. After all, he also didn't understand much of what was happening, he just knows that in another universe there is a threat so great that it forced someone to send Kara Zor-El from that universe in an alternate universe; he needs more information before making any hasty decisions.

[Honestly, I don't have much to say.] Flash sighed in a tired voice.

Seeing her friend's dejected expression, Kara bit her lip in frustration, she just realized that the situation she was in was more complicated than she understood.

Why does she think that? Well, in front of her is an older Flash with a dejected expression and a heavy feeling hanging over his body, and she knows from experience that her friend likes to mess up the timeline a little.

[If you managed to activate the device I left on your personal ship, it means that the person I'm talking to now is Power Girl or at least someone with the same blood as her ... I'm sorry to throw you into another universe without your permission, but I had to do it.] Flash apologized and then spoke in a serious voice.

Flash takes a deep breath and soon begins to explain everything: [In my original timeline, the events happened in the same way that you witnessed, Batman became that freak after confronting the Joker ... After Batman broke his rule of not killing then breaking the neck of his archenemy Joker, he was infected with a toxin that was released by Joker's body. That toxin was released as soon as the crime clown died, that toxin infected anyone close to Joker when he died. Unfortunately, Batman was that person.]

[A few days after that incident, Batman started acting weird, he brought his whole family together in one meeting.]

Flash bites his lip hard and continues: [As soon as his whole family was together, he murdered each of them with a smile on his face. From that moment on, The Batman who laughs was born.]

Rao narrowed his eyes at the man in the picture, he was wondering why the man was not giving precise details of what was going on.

Rao looks at Kara and sees her clenching her fists tightly, she was obviously upset by what she just heard, Rao looks at the Martian and just sees her shrugging as if she doesn't understand anything.

'Should I invade her mind?' The Martian asked.

'Not at the moment.' Rao denied it.

Rao continues to observe what the man was talking about.

[In my original timeline, Batman managed to slaughter all the heroes. Not just heroes ... He slaughtered everyone who went against him, children, adults, elderly, police ... Everyone ... A few years after Batman slaughtered everyone of the heroes, he practically reigned over the whole world as the greatest tyrant who appeared in all of human history.]

Soon the man's face disappears and he shows the landscape he was in, Kara soon can see several destroyed cities and a man with a big smile on his face while he was sitting in a high place with several bodies under him. Besides this man several children with something resembling the symbol 'R' on their chest were chained to a collar like dogs.

He was looking at everything with a big smile that was the Joker's trademark.

Seeing the images of what Bruce became, seeing what Bruce did to her homeworld, a warm feeling like a fire started to take over Kara's heart; that feeling started to get stronger when she saw Bruce playing with humans like dogs.

"Bastard!" The heroine roared in fury as her eyes began to glow red.
