After the short meeting, the girl nicknamed Siren was curious about how Yang Li met with this... "Jing." Anyone would notice he used a short nickname, and from Yang Li's reaction the boy's surname is "Xie."
As the two of them rode the taxi home, Siren opened her mouth first, "How did you meet 'Jing?'"
Yang Li looks like he's prepared to answer this question, "We met online in a game." It was a good excuse, Yang Li is known as the only game addict in the family and it's not a surprise that he meets friends online, but their actions were quite strange to Siren, who grew up beside Yang Li, they two of them acted like familiar friends that have been together for years.
"Well, what is he (ta) like?" Siren asks, "What do you know about him?"
"She (ta) is lazy, not sociable, a hypocrite, hot-headed, when she's interested in someone she treats them like a toy..." Yang Li replied while trying hard to remember.
"So all I hear is that he's a horrible human being and a jerk." Siren starts to question what kind of friends her cousin makes and hangouts with.
"Well she's selfish, but in the end, it would benefit someone, so most people would misunderstand her as a kind person."
"What do you think about him."
"She's determined, stubborn, a little bit crazy in the head, great at answering tests but sucks at doing her job, and..." Siren gave him a questionable look, how did Yang Li know all of this information?
Yang Li concludes his statement with a foolish grin, "I guess overall, her openness is refreshing?"

"Li Feifei is sick today!" Li Honglie proudly announced in front of my desk.
I continue to scroll through the screen of my phone as I ignored her.
Li Honglie silently stares at me before smirking, "Aren't you curious what Long Jinglou is going to do?"
"Nope. The only interesting about him is breaking his cold image of him, other than that he's just another normal human being who eats, sleep, and takes dump like any of us."
The smile on Li Honglie's face has been wiped away, "Can we have a conversation where you don't use vulgar words once?" She pulls out the chair next to me.
"What else am I going to do in this boring situation? Start a fight?"
"You've already started a fight..." Li Honglie pauses for a second and continues, "it's pointless to argue with you anyways. Either you'll beat everyone up until you get your point across or you just lose interest. Since you aren't like most people who run away from problems, I guess you're fine with everything coming to your way."
"What else can they do than throwing a few punches and bark like a dog? Committing arson?"
"Talking with you is getting nowhere." Li Honglie put one finger on her head and shook her head as if she's having a headache, "If you keep this up, I won't be surprised if someone actually set your house on fire... wait, Long Jinglou is taking a phone call!"
"Sheesh, are you a stalker?" I glance at her while the phone is still in my hand.
She stares at Long Jinglou as if she's paying attention at important notes that will show up on the final exam, "He looks upset, who's calling him?"
I put my phone down and looks in her direction. Long Jinglou soon slams the table that grabbed everyone's attention and left the classroom, "Probably something about his girlfriend getting into an accident or something. Why else he would be upset?"
Li Honglie gave me a cold glance and cut down the sentence short, "They. Aren't. Official." She's really stubborn but totally a fool.
"Why do you hate your sister so much?" Soon, she stares at me like I'm an idiot.
"We're not even related by blood."
They might say they aren't related by blood, but I had my doubts. Anyone can recognize the difference between Li Honglie and Li Feifei: Li Honglie had curly golden hair that reaches her waist, she always let her hair down and that's why it gets easily tangled. Li Feifei had long, straight, light brown hair that covers her entire back, she often organizes her hair with a hairclip and sometimes puts it up in a ponytail, but when her hair ties up in a knut, it often takes hours to untie it.
How do I know this information? If you walk around the hallway, you will often hear a squawking flamingo bragging about his crush... I mean, not pointing fingers or anything but I'm starting to think Zhang Yie, the so-called 'genius' who often takes the top 10 places in mid-terms and finals, is an idiot.
Now I think about it... Zhang Yie and Yang Li have similar personalities. They both run away from problems and often reveal information without realizing it. At this point, I won't even be surprised if Zhang Yie is a horrible actor, because Yang Li always sucks at lying. The only difference is that Zhang Yie is an intellectual nerd and Yang Li is a geek who's addicted to games, and Zhang Yie is cautious around people who dislike him while Yang Li is fooling around like there's not a single worry in the world... I've changed my mind, both of them fool around like maniacs when they are having a positive day.
"By the way, Xie Feihao, what are you doing on New Year?" Li Honglie interrupted my daydreaming.
"Not much," I replied, "Yang Li just asked me to go to the arcade with him again."
Chinese New Year, an important holiday for the entire country, and must schools and businesses are closed. Before this novel ever happened, Yang Li's parents often drag me and my mom to celebrate the holiday with them. After coming over here, I guess nothing changed?
"What do you mean again..." Li Honglie ignores the statement, "Anyways I'm coming with you."
I've expected as much: Li Honglie doesn't want to celebrate her holiday with that family of hers. It might be rude for her to avoid the elders in her family but I guess it's the best decision in the current situation.
