"Don't be Serial"

I finally got rid of that dress, but now I'm forced to wear another outfit of the character I'm playing as. So I sat on the same chair for the past 30 minutes while a makeup artist tries to mix and match the same atmosphere when I wore that tight dress, but different but recognizable for the audience.

I felt a bit annoyed until I walk in front of the mirror that was hanging on the door. I could barely recognize myself: silver hair with slight shades of black, a white and gray unzippered jacket showing a plain black shirt, a pair of ivory pants with white sneakers, a silver necklace with a cross, and a piercing gaze... What's with the white color theme? Are they trying to make a snowman?

I opened the door while Li Honglie and Yang Li turn their head, and the first thing I heard was from Yang Li, who asked, "Who are you?"

"So you can recognize me in a dress but you can't recognize me when I wear normal clothes?"

"You look like some middle schooler who's pretending to be the demon lord or something." Li Honglie points at the skull necklace I'm wearing while checking me up and down.

I found an empty sofa on the other side, I walked over, and drops on the cushion, "This won't last long anyway," I lean back, "The character I'm acting, called Na Yi, is only going to be in the show for a season and die off."

"You've already remembered the script?" Li Honglie seems like she was a bit surprised, "Then do you know the whole story?"

I took a deep breath to prepare the long explanation, "Apparently the first season of the show is already in public. It's just some girl and a few of her friends got targetted by a serial killer, then she falls in love, yati yata, and all those romantic fantasies. The season ends with the female lead dying to her best friend's hand, and wakes up from her bed like nothing ever happened. So now I'm - don't forget to mention: forced - to play the role of the female lead's best friend's younger brother who's going to be murdered in the story, while the older brother going to blame the female lead for his brother's death-"

"Hold up-" Li Honglie stops me before I could finish, "By any chance, does the show is called, 'Don't Be Serial' where the main character repeats her tragedy over and over again?"

"I mean, she knows all the popular things here." Yang Li shrugs and pretends not to know the things going around him, "I guess next time I'll ask Lili next time."

Li Honglie turns her head and wants to complain but nothing came out, "Wha-"

I sigh and rest my forehead on the back of my hand, "Yang Li is just being Yang Li with his weird nicknames."

Because of Li Feifei getting sick, Huang Xiaoyue also has gotten sick, but she didn't really mind, since she has gained a little bit more trust from Li Feifei.

As she was walking through the hallway in a refreshing morning, she heard strange rumors from social media, but she wasn't worried, they're rumors after all.

Li Honglie slides open the door of her classroom and saw a strange situation: Li Feifei was having a conversation with another guy while Long Jingluo seems like he wasn't bothered.

"W-what? You've already finished the project?" Li Feifei was shocked, "But we just started it yesterday! And- I didn't do anything yet..." Her voice creeps down as if she was intimidated.

"You can go check the work or add more details." The guy waves to shoo her off.

"Haohao, you really don't know how to comfort a girl." Li Honglie heard a familiar voice from behind.

"Ah, excuse me..." She turns her head around, it was Yang Li, "Oh! Vice class president!"

Huang Xiaoyue jumped, Yang Li knows, but why is he here? Yang Li called that guy 'Haohao,' so he's Xie Feihao?

Huang Xiaoyue starts to panic a bit on the inside, both of them knew or remember about her? But then, a curious question popped up in her head: why is Xie Feihao a guy then? Huang Xiaoyue originally thought only their names were similar since their personalities and looks are different.

"What, are you just going to stand at the door?" Xie Feihao acts annoyed while staring at the two of them with his unique eyes.

"Yes!" Yang Li goes around Huang Xiaoyue and ignores her while Xie Feihao took a few more glances.

"Xiaoyue," Huang Xiaoyue just notice Li Feifei was by her side, "Are you alright?" She asked with a worried face, "You look pale."

Huang Xiaoyue realizes that she was sweating bullets, she lifts her head slightly to see if Xie Feihao hasn't realized or know about her yet, but his eyes narrowed as if he was glaring at her.

Alex was having an enjoyable day posting pictures of Xie Feihao without his permission. She never asked Xie Feihao, since he would never agree to post pictures of him wearing in a dress on social media, but he doesn't really care, and if he does know that the picture was posted to the public, it doesn't matter. The show's going to be out in public in mid-May, so showing him crossdressing is going to be revealed to the public anyways.

She pulls up the image from her phone and starts typing: A friend of mine and a future character that will show up for Season 2 of 'Don't Be Serial!'

As soon as she presses sent, Alex already received a large number of likes and comments, as if her followers were waiting so they could receive attention.

"Wow! She's so pretty!" She scrolls through the comments.

"She's going to be in the show?"

"A new character?"

Alex was giggling to herself while mumbling in an empty room, "When the series comes out, they'll be so shocked."

Suddenly her phone rings, it made her a jump a little. Alex checks the screen: It was Yang Li. She hurries to pick up, but the voice she heard wasn't Yang Li, "Can you not?" She heard Xie Feihao's voice.

"Why are you on Yang Li's phone?"

"Do you really think you'll pick up if I call you from mine?"

Alex paused for a moment to think, "Nope."

"Li Honglie just told me about the post. Delete it, now." He ordered.

"Yang Li sent me the picture first." She replies, "Do you really think I won't let this chance to get away?"

Alex knows Yang Li and Xie Feihao were good friends from their behavior, so she trusts him a bit... since they insulted each other and then laughed it off.

She went back on her laptop and starts to type another announcement: Sorry! My friend who in the image doesn't want the picture to be posted!

Alex soon receives replies from her fans that keep telling her don't delete it.

"Looks like I'm not going to delete it." She laughs to herself.
