The HQ

Recently, I got suspended for a week for ruining the 'learning environment' for the other students. One, they don't have evidence, two, what learning environment? No one in that school ever does anything but spreading gossips and wasting money.

The first few hours after my suspension is even more exciting than that school: I was forced to learn self-defense by practicing with a gun, then Li Honglie called me for no reason while I almost died- again, saw a dead body like once in a lifetime opportunity, forced to learn how to lead a business while Zhen Liyue creates a massive schedule to make me take over her work. Yep, great day.

Zhen Liyue brought her secretary here while she enjoys the time of her retirement. Her secretary, Chen Bai, known as a strict man and never smiled once, was filling the drawers in his office with cat posters and cat toys. He just hates work.

Then I found out that Xie Lijiu was a dotting father with the worst attitude. Things got a lot more complicated.

And now-- I'm forced to put on a suit, to go to the salon, and make a good impression of myself while attending a business meeting for Zhen Liyue. Great, fun for the whole family.

"Sir, we're here." Chen Bai opens the door for me. He acts respectfully, but inside he's cursing me to trip on nothing. So we don't exactly have a good relationship.

"Good job, white rabbit." I tried to annoy him. I called him a rabbit just because of his forename: Bai (white), and also the red eyes. At the start, he didn't listen to me even though he was assigned to by Zhen Liyue, he only did after I set a handful of his posters on fire.

When I first walk into the entrance of the building the first thing I saw is a woman fighting with the receptionist... this situation seems oddly familiar. I was forced to make a good first impression and the HQ building of the company says otherwise.

"What are you doing?" Chen Bai rushed over to silent the yelling. The guards quickly bowed when they saw Chen Bai.

The receptionist tries to open her mouth to defend herself, but the woman starts yelling again, "The customer service is horrible! She should be fired!"

I felt a bit annoyed by the fact that she's yelling at the top of her lungs, can't you solve your problem quietly instead of pointing and screaming at people? I'm already annoyed enough that someone pushed their work on to me. Yang Li is in a different situation, at least he gets paid for it.

"Do we have time for this?" I interrupted.

The woman looks pissed, but held her head up high, "Who are you running into this conversation? I will let you know I'm a valuable customer and I won't let a kid ruining my chance of fixing my phone. So buzz off." She pointing at me with her so-called broken phone, so I took it away.

I've seen the logo of this large but painful company for the past two days straight, and I can easily tell how the one is different from the one I've always seen: the shade of the color is slightly off and this logo is missing a dash on the bottom right corner.

Chen Bai has sorted this type of situation out, but it always ends with a loss. Either a worker is fired or they lose a product, but it wasn't a huge loss, so Chen Bai never bothered.

This time was different. When Chen Bai tries to tell the company's complaining customer that he will give her a new one, the kid that he brought with them snatched it from the woman's hand.

She tries to get it back but the kid was like a fish slipping away, "Give it back you stupid brat!" the customer hissed.

Chen Bai didn't have an exact good relationship with Xie Feihao, and the kid can give him enough headaches that would last weeks. However, calling him a brat is a bit too much when he's the grandson of a famous woman. The word 'stupid' doesn't describe him, most of Xie Feihao's actions can be justified if you see everything from his point of view.

"Alright, you ill-mannered lady, few questions. What model is this?" He asks as the woman ran out of breath.

"Of course it's the newest version!"

"Let me guess, you brought it on a website where other people sell their old stuff. You bought a fake one, the logos are different."

Xie Feihao threw the phone towards Chen Bai's direction where he was barely able to catch it. After he did, he took out his phone to compare the one that Xie Feihao threw. He's right, it is different.

"What is this? Bring your kids to work day?"

"Chen Bai, I don't think I have time for this." Chen Bai jumped for a second. It was the first time the kid actually called out his name instead of 'rabbit.'

Chen Bai quickly checks his watch, they are already two minutes late.

"Ha- First of all, you shouldn't come to the headquarters so we can fix your stupid problem. Second, you should've checked your product before buying it, being scammed is your own problem." Chen Bai can tell that Xie Feihao was trying to hold his anger after taking a long sigh.

"Well, I already paid for the phone, so you have to give me a new one!"

"What did I just- You," Xie Feihao points at the receptionist, "put her name on the blacklist and prevent her from buying anything."

"But we don't have a blacklist-"

"Then make one, and whoever you two are, give that woman the boot and kick her out." Xie Feihao points at the two guards.

Chen Bai's subordinates hesitated.

The woman opens her mouth to complain, "You can't do that, you aren't the boss of this place-"

"Sorry to ruin your hopes and dreams, I am." Chen Bai escorted Xie Feihao to the elevator as he spoke, "So I hope you don't lose your job like the guy in the office in the next ten minutes."
