"Don't worry, I won't get lost." I knew that was what I'd said, but every tree in a forest looked the same.
The saying goes, "It's better to stay in one place when you get lost", but I have a feeling that Yang Li told everyone, "don't worry, he'll be back soon." It would have been better to stay on the rock and stare at Long Jingluo and Li Feifei... since the hilarious scene of these two is more entertaining than a romance TV show.
I took out a pocket knife from my jacket and flip out the blade from its folding position. I started to mark "X" on the tree bark. I could have picked up a stick and drew X's on the ground, but if the sky suddenly pours rain, I will definitely get lost as the rain washes away the X marks.
It had been an hour since I disappeared, and the sun was setting. If Yang Li is still denying the fact that I'm lost, I'll snap his neck, but first, I'll have to find my way back.
As I took a few steps, I noticed something as I lifted my head... Hey, isn't that the same bird nest I just saw five minutes ago? That bush wild berry bush rustling on my right seems awfully familiar... rustling?
"Ah."

Long Jingluo had decided to disagree with going to look for Xie Feihao. It might've looked selfish, but staying behind was a benefit for everyone. Unlike the rest of the group, Long Jingluo doesn't have any sense of direction; he didn't need to, he had someone to drive him anywhere he wanted, and even if he did get lost, he had a phone in his pocket.
If Long Jingluo could get lost in the middle of the city without a phone, how's he going to be able to find a person in a forest?
Unfortunately, he got separated from the rest of the group because he looked away for a few minutes... on a mantis feeding on a dragonfly.
As Long Jingluo wandered around aimlessly, he started to think about shouting out for help, but he realized that Yang Li would burst out laughing: "The rich and prideful guy asked for help?" That embarrassment would definitely haunt him for the rest of his life.
Long Jingluo separated the leaves to open a path for himself. As he walked through the tight space between the walls of leaves with his eyes closed, a few fell off and stuck on to his jacket.
As he felt like he almost got out of the bush, he slowly opened his eyes. In front of Long Jingluo was Xie Feihao.
"Ah." Both of them said at the same time.
Long Jingluo thought Xie Feihao would've been surprised, but from the volume of his voice, it'd sounded like he was expecting something coming out of the bush, but didn't expect Long Jingluo.
After a few seconds of eye contact, Xie Feihao turned around and started to walk away as Long Jingluo picked off leaves from his jacket. Then Xie Feihao stopped his steps and turned his head back a little, "Well, are you going to follow or what?"
It wasn't long before the sky turned dark. Long Jingluo felt awkward as he and Xie Feihao wandered through the forest. Long Jingluo had taken mental notes of Xie Feihao's behavior ever since "Y" showed up. The way Xie Feihao had been dressing was different, so was his way of speaking.
The way how Xie Feihao used the pocket knife was like an amateur soldier. Long Jingluo knew that Xie Feihao had practiced with a gun, but he had never learned how to use a knife.
"You've been staring at me for a while now. Spit it out, what do you want?" Xie Feihao asked as he turned his head around, annoyed.
Long Jingluo didn't want to be hated, so he hesitated a little before opening his mouth, "When did you learn how to use a knife?"
Xie Feihao looked slightly confused, but Long Jingluo knew that was his worried face. "The suspension because I shaved that girl's head, how else could I get rid of my boredom?" He asked.
There was a question in his answer... a lie.
Long Jingluo was a bit frightened that his predictions might be true, "Since when you have been bored? Didn't you have many other things to do-"
"Yeah? And?" Xie Feihao interrupted.
Avoiding eye contact... another lie.

I've only answered a few questions and got irritated. Is my irritation contagious? Long Jingluo was glaring at me like he's going to feed me to the sharks!
"Who are you?" Long Jingluo asked.
I waited for a few seconds, "What... do you mean?" I asked. Did he notice?
"Tch!" He clicked his tongue, "You're determined to finish everything you've started, but he knew his limit." He? Who?
"What are you talking about-"
"You took the most harmless compliment as sarcasm, but he would overlook all the criticism!" Now he's yelling.
I started to understand who Long Jingluo was talking about, but I asked anyway "Who's he-"
Then Long Jingluo started to burst into tears. "You were always fighting, but he swam with the current!" Is he complimenting me or insulting me?
I got interrupted, again! Is this monkey going to let me speak?
I felt my patience popped like a balloon, "So what?" I asked.
Long Jingluo sniffled like he had a cold, "What do you mean-" What do you mean 'what do you mean'? You're the one who started this conversation! Why am I getting blamed for something you did?
"So what!?" I threw a punch.
Long Jingluo took two steps back and fell on his bottom, covering his left cheek under his eye with his left hand. "Wha-" He looked like he was dumbfounded.
"You were the one who abandoned the cat and now you're crying that the cat is gone!?" I threw the knife down, "I am not playing this game!"
"How is this my fault!?" Long Jingluo asked as he stood up.
"Everything is your fault! You maggot!"
"Shorty, what did you just call me!?"
"Are you deaf!? I called you a maggot!"
... And the only I remember is a dog fight.
