Houtian Stage 1 and Major Powers of the World

Shortly after entering the room, Shen Tian saw his mother at the dressing table putting on makeup with the help of her own two servant girls standing next to her.

"Tian'er, you're here earlier than usual today." With a glance at Shen Tian, a gentle smile full of love and adoration could be seen.

Seeing that expression of love on her face, Shen Tian's own heart became soft. In his previous world, Shen Tian had lost both parents when he was small and thus had never known about motherly love, or even experienced it. But when he had came to this world, he had clearly felt the power of this motherly love. And so because of that, he had started to treasure this feeling of love slowly over time.

Shen Tian walked up to the side of his mother and rubbed his stomach and said with an embarrassed laugh, "Your son is hungry!" After the rigorous exercise from daybreak, he had been feeling the slight pangs of hunger.

Rui Yuntian placed a gentle hand on top of Shen Tian's head and laughed, "Then in a moment mother will take you to the dining hall to eat."

"Yea!" Shen Tian nodded his head, a look of satisfaction on his face. In his heart, he secretly enjoyed the loving concern his mother had shown him.

After that he went to dining hall with his mother and ate untill he was full. Because of exercise his appetite was big compared to previous breakfasts but no one paid attention to it. Then went to room for taking some rest while thinking not to rush in cultivating Qi Cultivation Art. Because from his perspective that if one wanted strong martial arts, then one must first have a strong body. After all, martial arts relied on the efficient use of the body.

Many martial artists relied on strengthening their bodies in order to improve their own strength. Therefore they would strengthen their bodies and end up with bulging muscles everywhere. It was clear to the naked eye how strong someone was by build alone. Some people had even built their bodies to the point of their bones being as hard as reinforced steel bars.

But from the insights Shen Tian have gained, he knew that, this type of method to train the body would only ruin the body and would only narrow the potential of the human body. So although this method would increase one's strength past a normal persons, at the same time, it would bring about a large amount of damage to the body. The people who trained this way generally had a short life span. When they were in the elderly phase, diseases and impairment within the body would happen at a higher frequency for them.

So left Qi Cultivation Art (Bright Jade Power Art) for future when he would complete first layer of Minor Illumination Breathing Technique. Untill then he would just focus on this body technique and will make his body stronger without any side effects.

After resting time (in which he only slept) came out of his room, washing his face while looking toward his courtyard where noon's sunlight was still pouring.

'Hmm… since I have nothing else to do, why don't I practice the Minor Illumination Breathing Technique's movements for a bit? They still felt a little forced last time… ' Shen Tian thought to himself.

At the moment, it was impossible to practice the Minor Illumination Breathing Technique in its full form as it was meant to be practiced in the morning. However, practicing just the movements themselves shouldn't be a problem.

Shen Tian stood in his courtyard and began executing different moves in a systematic manner.

The first two sets of movements weren't too hard. The only one that truly troubled him was the third set. Its difficulty increased exponentially multiple times over when compared to the previous two sets!

The crux of the problem was that the third set required him to imitate a cat. He had to somehow vibrate his entire body using his vocal cords. In other words, he had to purr in an extremely high falsetto…

However, the difference between human and feline vocal cords was simply too big! To cause all the muscles, bones, vital energy and blood to vibrate using only his vocal cords was nigh impossible!

Yet, according to the manual, it could actually be achieved when done in concert with the breathing method described by the Minor Illumination Breathing Technique. However, he couldn't practice the breathing method right now! Otherwise, he might end up bursting into flames if he were to accidentally absorb the tyrannical Yang Qi present during the noon!

Hence, Shen Tian could only practice the form, but was unable to practice the truly essential part of the technique.

After finishing each set of movements, Shen Tian sat down to meditate upon the Minor Illumination Breathing Technique in his mind, trying to carve the experiences he'd gleaned into his very bones.

Just like that, time went by very quickly. The ground around Shen Tian soon became soaked with his perspiration.

Each time he compared his cultivation experience to that of his predecessors, Shen Tian would acquire new insights. He could feel himself improving bit by bit.

An afternoon of practice had brought Shen Tian some positive results. At the very least, he could now complete all the movement sets in one go. In terms of movements, the only thing left to work on was his proficiency in executing them.

The problem was that Shen Tian could only imitate the movements as though it was an exercise routine. He knew the form, but did not understand the meaning behind it.

The experiences and insights of others could only be used as a reference. They could not really be applied directly to himself!

After all, each individual's body was unique. What worked for others might not necessarily be suitable for him.

Not to mention, the harmony and flexibility of Shen Tian's body was below average person because he was still child. Unfortunately for him, the movements contained in the movement sets all demanded the human body to stretch beyond its normal ability. Therefore, in order to increase his proficiency in executing the movements, Shen Tian needed to understand how to reconcile the demanding movements and his weak body, developing his own understanding of the technique.

"Gu, Guu…"

Shen Tian's stomach suddenly growled with hunger, signalling the end of his practice. The exercises actually required a lot of mental and physical effort. Thus, Shen Tian's mental and physical strength were both drained very quickly and he felt hungry even though it was way before dinner time.

There was no other choice. Shen Tian could only fill his stomach first before doing anything else.

No matter the task, going beyond one's limit was as bad as failing to even approach it. It was just like with a cup of water which was already filled to the brim: if one insists on pouring even more water into the cup, it would only end up spilling over.

The sweat sticking to his clothes felt really uncomfortable. He decided to take bathe first then he went for eating and start reading the novel at night, because training Body Cultivation Technique which requires Yang Qi (Sunlight) at night when presence amount of Yin Qi is way too greater than Yang Qi can cause problems. And there nothing else for him to do, his swordsmanship and study would start from next year when he would be six years old. So there is a lot of time for him to spend on something else like cultvation etc.

Soon time passed by, its been a week since Shen Tian have started cultivating and made routine of cultivating-eating-sleeping-cultivating.

Although summer was the hottest season, it was also the most humid. It was especially so high within the wooded mountains, so by the time Shen Tian climbed atop the giant jutting rock on the side of the mountain, the hems of his track pants which he purchased from system for cultivating for 30 system points were already soaked with dew.

Shen Tian stretched lazily for a short moment before starting on the three movement sets of the Minor Illumination Breathing Technique. As expected, his movements were much more fluent this time thanks to the practices he did for the days before.

'As my insights regarding the Minor Illumination Breathing Technique increase, the amount of the Yang Qi I can absorb is increasing as well. With its aid, my body will become stronger over time and I will be able to practice the movements of the Minor Illumination Breathing Technique more smoothly,' Shen Tian thought calmly.

The cultivation process was actually quite conducive in regard to advancing in it. Absorbing the first rays of the sun strengthened the body. With a stronger body, cultivating the Minor Illumination Breathing Technique would have a better effect, resulting in the ability to absorb the sun rays in even greater quantities!

The sky slowly turned brighter and the sun's rays were about the break through the clouds. Appearing to have sensed the imminent arrival of the sun, Shen Tian, who was deep in meditation, suddenly opened his eyes. It was time to begin cultivating the Minor Illumination Breathing Technique, this time in its entirety and not just as a set of movements.

Just as the contours of the clouds were lit up and the sun's rays finally forced their way through the clouds, Shen Tian had also completed the last movement set of the Minor Illumination Breathing Technique. Immediately after, he lifted his head and… took in a deep breath!

If the thickness of the wisp of sun ray which Shen Tian had absorbed last times could be likened to a strand of a hair, then this time it was like two strands of hair. In other words, the amount of Yang Qi which he could absorb had been doubled after a days of practices!

The first ray of the sun contained a huge amount of vitality which was extremely beneficial when absorbed by the human body.

"Hua Hua!"

The moment the ray of light entered Shen Tian's body, he felt like his entire body had been petrified. He stood rigidly like a stone statue on the rocky surface.

Although he appeared to be motionless, one could actually hear the blood surging with vitality within Shen Tian's veins if one approached close enough!

His heart was beating powerfully, each beat sending a large amount of blood to every corner of his body. There, countless tiny cells were ravenously absorbing the Yang Qi within Shen Tian's boiling blood.

As the tiny cells gradually reached their maximum capacity to contain energy and were unable to absorb anymore, they began to break off and form new cells! However, these newly created cells were filled with vitality, being much stronger than the old ones!

All the cells within Shen's body were brimming with energy and joy, and he felt extremely comfortable. Even his spirit seemed frisky like a fairy!

"Eh? It's over?" Shen Tian felt a little disappointed that the wondrous transformative energy was used up so quickly.

Similar to the last times, a thin layer of grey sweat had formed on top of his body. It was a shade darker than the last times, though it was not that obvious. One wouldn't notice unless they inspected it carefully.

Shen Tian brought up the System Interface within his consciousness and looked at it. Apart from the addition of the Minor Illumination Breathing Technique experience points, something else also had changed that was his Cultivation Base which was now Houtian Stage 1. From the insights he had gained from Minor Illumination Breathing Technique he knew that at Stage 1 of Houtian Realm his strength would be equal to about 40 jins by cultivating this technique. He immediately purchased a measuring device from system at cost of 50 system points to measure his strength which surprised him because his strength was 19.5 kg which is equal to 39 jins.

He was mainly surprised because his body which doesn't have extra muscle and was quite fair because of removing impurities again and again and which is around 1.1 meters. He haven't done other training, no changes in diet except its amount has been increasing which was not drawing attention from family members due to increase in height and body. They thought its normal for a growing boy to eat more.

'I wonder what will happen once I level up the cultivation technique … anyway, my physical state's has really increased but not to the poing where i would be too proud. Apart from my mental power, every other stat like speed or strength also have increased.

For a five year kid to have 39 jin of punching strength which would will increase with the time and practice would be fearsome in my previous life on earth but here in Heavenly world i can not even count, how many families and sects have started to groom their family members or core disciples at the age of 4. And even there are freaks like Ling Tian who were born with Xiantian Qi. So he was still far behind from them even if he have strength right now equal to 39 jins he was considered nothing, So he didn't have to worry about someone founding him being this strong.

Shen Tian changed his clothes(tracksuit) into normal clothes and left the mountain towards his home.

{ While practing Cultivation techniques, the first realm which comes is Houtian Realm. And For QI CULTIVATION TECHNIQUES  if we divide this realm vaguely there will be four division

1. Body Tempering Stage ( Cleared Meridians, Tempered Muscles, Tempers the Bone, Refined the blood are only the four levels that have anything to do with training the body.

Houtian Stage 1 to Houtian Stage 3)

2. Qi Sensing Stage (At the 4th-Stage one starts to be able to sense 'Spiritual Energy/Qi' in the atmosphere and it only grows stronger they as reach the 6th-Stage.)

3. Qi Gathering Stage (At 7th Stage one starts to naturally gather Spiritual Energy/ Qi and absorb inside his dantian by opening qi sea, but are unable to consciously speed up their absorption or restoration when used on their own all.)

4. Houtian Qi transformation into Xiantian Qi (At 8th stage and above.)

Once Houtian Qi completely change into Xiantian Qi then one can breakthrough in Xiantian Realm.

But cultivating Body Cultivation Technique is different, it only uses Qi to temper body and remove empurities from it.

In Houtian Realm one have to use Houtian qi to temper while in Xiantian Realm one have to use Xiantian qi. }
