07. Chatterbox

''Xiaoqing, wake up!'' Le Zhenzhen rushed inside the room and saw a small girl still in deep dreams with a smile on her face.

She waved her hands and Luli and Lan rushed to open the windows. A streak of light fell on her face and lighten it up.

With a pout, she slowly rose while rubbing her eyes. ''Uhm... Why are you so rushed?''

''Today is your first day in school, hurry up or you will be late. It is bad to have such bad impression.'' Lee Zhenzhen took off her blanket and waved her servant to help the two girls put clothes on Lee Xiaoqings body.

In a group, it went fast and she dazedly was pulled by her hand into the sunny morning. The day before was raining so the drops of water still was shining on leaves and flowers like precious gems. A small bird suddenly flew to the nearby tree and started singing.

Lee Xiaoqing opened her eyes and a big smile appeared on her face while she rushed with Lee Zhenzhen. ''Big sister, look, bird. How pretty...''

Lee Zhenzhen was a girl and liked cute and pretty things. She stopped for a moment to see the bird but remembered that they wasted much time in dressing her so she pulled her again and they started running.

Their carriage already was waiting and as soon they went in it started moving. Lee Huifang and Lee Meixiu were twins that were born just short month after Lee Xiaoqing. Third miss and fourth miss, they hated people mostly calling them that way. It was their first day in school as well so they were already in the carriage but had to wait for first and second miss.

As soon the two girls went into carriage they looked at each other and moved to the side so they won't be too close to them. Their actions were seen by the two girls but were ignored completely, which made them even angrier. But rules are rules and they planned to live by them.

They bowed to the two girls and greeted them politely. ''Good morning big sister. Good morning second sister.'' They pronounced nastily the 'second sister' and hoped that she will blow up like days before, but to their surprise, nothing happened.

She just smiled at them happily. ''Good morning.'' She didn't say anything anymore and happily, explained what kind of bird just woke her up. ''Do you know what kind of bird is it?''

With big eyes, she stared at them in the hope they knew. They just shook their head and somehow a slight bit less of the anger went away as they asked questions. They spoke about flowers in the garden and butterflies they saw.

What they didn't know was that Lee Weiming was sitting on horse right next to them and rose with big smile on his face. Lee Xiaoqing made little girls join her chats and he nodded. Such a bright child.

As they happily chatted they already arrived at school but as it was a long line of carriages in front of them they sighed in relief as that meant they were not late. Actually, Lee Xiaoqing planned to see the streets and houses and people while they travelled as they had open windows. It was not a society where they had to hide behind closed doors and hidden windows.

The society was a bit like she knew from olden times, but not as strict with rules. Today was a beautiful day so as they waited for their turn to get out with shaky hearts, they commented the weather, the sky and even the few birds that flew over clear blue sky.

Four girls in the same carriage made it even more fun as laughter and chatter could be heard far and wide. Surrounding carriages had usually just one or two children inside and they were all silent so their chatter brought smiles onto their faces.

Actually, many were curious about an ugly and dumb second miss of Lee family. Lee Jian was old general and had the name of Duke, but never flaunted it as he loved being a scholar as well. He was a famously cold man with a big heart. But he was actually famously good looking man in his youth.

Lee Weiming was already famous everywhere for his good looks and wisdom. And Lee Zhenzhen was a pretty child since birth so it was no wonder that she grew up even prettier by year. No one knew much about Lee Huifang and Lee Meixiu except that they were cute twins. But Lee Xiaoqing...

When they came out many people glanced towards them and to no surprise first came out Lee Zhenzhen as she was oldest

Her pretty white dress and beautiful begonia flowers embroidered and with small trinkets, in her hair, she looked like small fairy. Just after they came out the twins.

Actually they had the same dress just a different colour. Lee Huifang hand pink dress with white cherry flowers while Lee Meixiu had a blue dress with the same white flowers. As they came out people gasped as they were really cute. Indeed Lee household had pretty children.

Just when they went down a girl came out and smiled brightly at her sisters. ''Wait for me!''

Two rows of pearl white teeth, two dimples on her cheeks and big bright eyes were what met people. Her dress was light yellow with a beautiful purple flower on it and trinkets on her hair that fitted just well.

As she came down a ray of sun hit her long hair that shoon beautifully and turned her into another fairy of Lee family. She came down with help of Lee Weiming that helped all the girls.

He went to the same school but chose to ride a horse and not bother little girls talking and he was right. With mischievous expression, he pinched her cheek and chuckled. ''You chatterbox.''

Her sisters snickered as they saw him pinching her cheeks and she rolled her eyes. ''Big brother, again? Are you not tired of my cheeks?'' As she blinked at him her long black eyelashes swirled in the wind like butterfly wings.

He sighed. ''Ah, I think I will be in trouble. To have one cute sister that I had to protect was already too much but now I have four of you. Ahhh, how painful is my life.'' He pinched the twin's cheeks as well and then hit his chest dramatically, making the girls laugh even more.

One of the teachers on the gate sighed as he saw the group of pretty children and nodded. ''Having such beautiful sister must be really painful... Get inside! You will be late!'' He was an ironic person so he rushed them inside as he couldn't handle so much sweetness anymore.
