Chapter 6

I race to the door and stop just inches away from it before I do the secret knock so my mother knows it's me.

As soon as I finish it my mother drags me in so fast I couldn't even blink.

She shut the door and locked it using all 8 of the locks she installed while I leaned against the wall trying to catch my breath.

Here eyes locked onto mine and narrowed "how many?"

Still heavily panting I managed to explain "to many to count, and I think the agency is corrupt."

She sighed, "Your father will be home in 2 minutes, get your go bag and meet me in the other car".

Nodding my head I was already upstairs before I realized it.

Having two parents who were scary genius' did come in handy.

Mother wasn't the heir to the underworld for nothing.

This cramped little house wasn't completely useless. It shared a neighboring wall with the house next to us.

It had been abandoned for a little while, they had me hack into one the local real estate agencies and they bought it secretly from an agent who wasn't above taking a bribe and placing the deed under fake names. They weren't stupid, they had money hidden in so many different places and accounts for "just in-case" situations for this very moment. We definitely weren't short on money.

I then got to creating a profile and several files for the agency to look into when they came snooping and checked the backgrounds of the previous owner. The previous home owner passed away inside the house and he had given it to his kids.

When the agency tried buying it to keep a closer eye on us, their persistent requests were constantly shut down. The "kids" of the previous owner refused to sell.

To keep an eye on us they tried to force us out of the house, but you can't just tell my father what to do.

His family has already been through so much pain, being forced to go into hiding, relocate in the U.S. and having to bury his youngest daughter?! The agency quickly agreed to his request of staying in the small-shitty house and having to find another location.

Running into my room, I grabbed my go bag and quickly filled a spare bag with anything I could grab in my room before running back downstairs and bumping into my father. He grabbed me and we both ran to the shared wall, which was now turned into a door. Father made sure to shut it before we ran through the dusty house. We ran towards the garage and jumped into the car my mother was waiting for us in.

"Great timing love! Check the cameras Bec" pulling out a small ipad, I quickly checked through all the cameras outside our house, then in surrounding neighborhoods.

"They are two neighborhoods away, we have approximately 4 minutes to get a clean getaway."

"Perfect!" She shined a proud smile at me as she waited for the garage door to open before peeling out.

We could hear sirens going off as we turned onto the next street out of sight.

"So much for using the agency to protect us! I told you the government is filled with a bunch of good for nothings!" my mom started cursing out everyone she could think of.

"Yes love, you are always right" my father calmly grabbed one of her hands before planting a chaste kiss on the back of it.

"You are just lucky I love you!" she pouted, after dad was able to get through her defensive walls when they married, she finds it harder and harder to stay mad at him. He is a businessman at heart and knows that he wants to keep the family safe within the standards of the law.

"Alright so where are we headed to now?" I asked.

My parents simply looked at each other nervously and hesitated to answer me.

"What? It can't be that bad . . ." I laughed at their expressions till I realized that they still hadn't changed their concerned facial expressions.

Suddenly serious, I straightend up bracing myself for whatever they had to say. "Tell me, I can handle it" .

"Honey . . . you aren't coming with us . . ." my father said it so softly it was almost whisper.
