Outside the house I am currently living in, the snow has stopped to fall from the grey sky, and I have started to clear the path to our house because last night he was snowing, and that snow was a big one. The snow measure in other parts of the property was almost to my shoulders, and the path has some snow, even though Diana has done this job yesterday morning before I was about to leave the house and visit my old Orphanage. While I was cleaning the garden, the girls continued to sleep in their houses after the contest they had tonight. I really hope they will be alright because in a few days all three of us will leave our house and head to the village where their parents are living in. I am also coming to them because I am Fiona squire, and squire has to follow the knight he is working with almost everywhere.
A few minutes later, when I was about to arrive at the gate cleaning the snow from my pathway, I see someone coming, and that someone was a dear friend of mine, Gregonson, who is still wearing his weird orange dress even on a cold winter. I gotta say, that kid, acts like a tough guy, and he is an actual tough guy because he doesnt use magic or weapons like other squires or knights, he uses his own bare hands and legs kicking the enemy, and I was a witness at a few of those events in the War we both have fought on.
He stops at the gate, he looked at me while I throw big snow bile from the path by using a shovel.
"Hello, Judah!"
"Hello, Gregonson." I say while I put the shovel in the snow pile and I walk close to Gregonson, to shake his hand. "How are you doing?"
"Great. And you?"
"Good."
"Good to hear it. After all, bot of us has foughten in a war."
"Yeah... Well, kinda a war." I said to Gregonson who is handing me a piece of parchment. "What is this?" I took the parchment and opened it.
"Could you help me do a quest?"
"Um... Is it about finding a man?" I asked him after I read a small part of this parchment.
"A blind one."
"... Blind... Do you mean..." I say while I did some hand gestures. "Verbally... or... um... Literally."
"...Literally." he said Gregonson acting awkward at my reaction because the is the first time I will have to search for a man who is blind. "Are you coming?"
"Sure... But, what about your knight?"
"He is doing fine. He is on his way to his big house where his parents are waiting for him to celebrate the holidays."
"I see."
We didn't talk for a few moments because none of us didn't know what to say, both of us. After all, both of us are in the same situation. I and Gregonson are both orphans, we were living in Orphanages and also we both are bookworms. This mission might get easy because we have so much in common and we have different abilities, which will be good because this might is going to my chance to test some spells into a battle if there will be one. That one Ron didn't count.
"Should I call Fiona to come?" I ask Gregonson.
"It will not be necessary." says Gregonson which really impressed me. "It is useless to tag along with Fiona because she might have other important business, right?"
I am thinking about the things she is probably doing right now, like sleeping in the house together with his sister after that contest. Plus, this travel might get her sick after the cabbage rolls she has eaten the entire night. So, I accept Gregonson offer and I go straight to my house, take my things, such as the spellbook I have acquired from Teacher Derek, and the one I have bought a few months ago from a store in this Kingdom.
---
A few moments later. I and Gregonson are walking on the streets, prepared for our mission to find a blind man, capture him and deliver him to Prison. after all, this guy is a criminal and he has committed a lot of crimes, even though he is blind, but also, how he could've stolen a lot of money from a noble family and I mean... Weren't their security much more powerful to stop a blind man? Or their security is like Henderson, a douchebag who cannot even swing a sword because he will be scared by doing this?
"So... Have you spoken with Ron?"
"Um... Yesterday was trying to attack me." I respond to Gregomson who didn't seem shocked or curious.
"Did he attacks you because of the ladies?"
"Because of the female from my family and living with two women."
"The Gods are going to punish Ron in the next year."
"Next year?"
"Yes, Judah. In a few days, we will enter a new year because human birth is getting close. And on every day like this, a year it will be added on our year."
"I understand." I respond to this question because everyone knows from this Kingdom and in other kingdoms, the celebrations of humans it a holiday where human celebrate their birth, like a new year holiday I have read one time in a novel from the Orphanage I was living at.
"And... What about Liu Grug? Have you heard something new about him?"
"Who?"
"The guy with blue hair which is using a spear?"
"Um... I haven't heard about him since that day."
"He has left two months ago this city and he is headed to Arges."
"Arges? What is that ?"
"Never heard of Arges?"
"No."
"Well... You will not be the first person who hasn't heard about Arges because that place is haunted by spirits and demons. Not many people know about this location because it isn't shown on the map since it is proclaimed as "Haunted Zone" and a lot of things people are saying about zone as such, having gipsies demons who kidnap children's and are eating them alive, or ghost who posses every living being, and, one of the scariest thing there, villages underwater, where half-humans-half-fish are living there and capturing every man which is walking on the road."
"But how don't some people know about this place?"
"The place it is known only to knights and warriors, there are the only ones who can walk there free, the others have to pay a tax to go there and do their things."
"Really? That sounds... Nice. I guess." I said because I didn't have any idea how I can reply to my friend. "So, why is he there?"
"Got a mission together with his knight to kill a few demons who have kidnapped women from our Kingdom."
"And they take two months to do that?"
"You will be surprised how many demons are there and how strategic they are most of their times in combat."
Gregonson stops in front of a building that has a sign attached to his walls, and that sign shows bread taken from the oven, which means one single thing, the building is a Bakery. Gregonson looked at me and asked if we can buy something on our road, and I responded "Of course you can.". And both of us are entering the "Bakery".
In that store, after we entered we have seen four ovens where the raw materials are inserted to create the delicious, crisp, white soft from the interior of the bread and also the great thing we are using to eat with almost anything, bread. And boy, I love bread.
"Hello!" treated the cashier after we approach this table. "What can I help both of you?"
"Hello, sir!" says Gregonson. "We would like to buy two pieces of breast and also two plăcinte with apples and with cheese." he points at a shelf where there are thousands of plăcinte by different measures, flavours and freshness.
"Great." then he looks at me. "And you traveller?"
"One bread and a plăcintă with peach."
"Great choices, travellers." says the cashier in a manner that can only be applied most of the times to nobles chefs.
A few minutes later, we got our food, put it in my backpack and both of us are heading to our mission, hunting a blind man who has committed a few crimes.
