On the next morning, I wake up feeling tired after a long fight from yesterday. It has been a long time since I had a fight like this because Fiona was most likely the one who did most of the work in missions. I was about to get up from the bed, but Garnet, who was sitting on a chair close to my bed, stopped me from getting up by putting her hand on my upper body.
"Are you alright?"
"Y-Yeah." I told her after I look at my body and I see that I am partially naked. "D-did you...?"
"Treat your wounds? No. Taka was the one who helped you."
"Good. But, did you?"
"No. I didn't tell about your visions. I told them that man was just a bounty hunter who was coming after my head."
"And they believed that?"
"Looks likely."
"We need to do something." I say to Garnet after I looked at my bandages. "I don't think the other ones are going to be like the first one."
"The first one wasn't even that powerful, as the other six assassins says."
"Six?!" I asked because I forgot there were about seven assassins after us.
"Yes. Have you forgotten about the other six?" asks Garnet.
"Well. The hits might've made me have some trouble at my head."
Suddenly, a knock can be heard from the door of our room, then, the door opens and there it comes Ulfred who is looking at me in a glad reaction. He tells me how glad he is feeling that I am alive and not partially dead. He also brought me and the Garnet something to eat and drink, two pig meat on bread and two cups with apple juice. We both took that food and eat it in front of Ulfred.
"Glad you guys are getting well." says Ulfred to both of us.
"Why wouldn't we?" I asked Ulfred, and then I laughed, and Garnet laughed in that kind of shy.
"Um. Yeah. Listen, for now, we should be more careful where are we walking, so we have got to remain into this house for a while. Until the dangers disappear."
"Alright." I responded to Ulfred.
After that, Ulfred and with Garnet leaves the room, to let me rest for a bit, until I will start to feel better after these injure I've got. When I finished eating, I took a long sip of that delicious juice and put my head on the pillow. I closed my eyes and tried to think of something that will make me sleep.
***
I wake up in the middle of a forest, there it is a human, wearing a hoodie which it looks a like the last one from my dream, but this one has the color red, and it is not a "he", rather a "she". Is holding a scythe, and aims it at my direction, before she was about to charge at me, she told me.
"You should've let her go."
Then, in the next second, that assassin came very close to me and cut my entire upper body in half. And then, everything turned black, and I wake up in the same room, but it is nighttime. I looked on the room part where is Garnet bed, I saw her there, sleeping. I tried to get up, but when I did, I felt a pain on my ribs, and I immediately collapsed back to my bed. So, I cannot move, the other solution was to call her name.
"Garnet?...Garnet...Garnet?"
"Uh..." I hear from Garnet. "What is it, Judah?"
"I think I had another vision."
"Oh." says Garnet getting up in a few seconds, lighting the lamp and going close to Judah bed. "What was the dream about?"
"About a woman who wore one red hood and used a scythe."
"That is Monica. The assassin who can summon ghosts."
"She can do that?"
"Only on nighttime though. When was this dream happening?"
"On a nighttime, in a forest."
"So. We have got to find a way to stop this from happening." suggest Garnet.
"And how? I cannot move for now, so the best thing I can do is sleeping and staying in the house. Plus, we've got Taka and Ulfred here, so we are not completely alone."
"But how do you think we can tell them this?"
"Let's just say that there a re a few bounty hunters obsessed with you. They will be probably believing it."
"This will never work." says Garnet shaking her head in disapproval. "We will find something tomorrow, now, go back to your sleep."
"And what? Dream about another way I die?" I say to Garnet. "I'd rather stay with the lights on and read a book."
And so I did.
I took the closest book from the floor, it was a novel about a young adult who discovered time travelling. I proceed to read it, and after a few pages, I fall into a deep sleep. When that happened, Garnet was probably turning the lights off since when I wake up, I see the lights from outside invading the room to the windows.
I tried to get up from bed, but again, the pain from my stomach put me down. I called for Garnet to come, but instead, came Taka, with a few medicines to help me recover or just to inspect my wounds.
"How are you felling?" asks Taka coming in my direction.
"Great, I think." I told to Taka, and he sits on the part of the bed where my feet couldn't reach it, she takes away the blanket I used to cover myself, and checks the wounds of my body.
At first, she unwrapped the bandage, then, she applied a cream into my wounds, which made them to tickle and hurt at the same time. And Taka did that one the first area hurt, but before she could continue the treatment, she ordered me to stay in bed, not move and not scream. I do as she says and the next minutes where she applied cream on the hurt area was a pain for me, but she managed to finish the treatment, and before she left, Taka told me.
"Do not touch the areas with the cream, or turn on the other side, I need to put the second part of this treatment."
"Which is?" I asked her feeling a little nervous.
"Blood drinker worms." she responded before she left the room, where I looked extremely shocked to hear that Taka will put on my almost naked body worms that will drink my blood.
When Taka came back, about three minutes later, he is holding three big worms on her right hand, and it is putting them with their mouth on the area where the cream it is still on. This tickled and hurt me at the same time, but I got a do it this way because nobody from here besides me, it is wizard.
When the treatment was finished, I look at Taka and I asked her about Garnet and Ulfred, where are they at and why did they have gone. But before she could've responded, she put those worms back into my body.
"Ulfred and Garnet are outside, they are going to the merchants to buy medicine for your areas."
"I see." I told to myself feeling glad that these two guys are going to help me get cured, even though this is not the easiest way to cure somebody who cannot use the healing spell on himself. "Now tell me, how are we holding up?"
"We are good." says Taka to me. "Why are you asking that?"
"Just making sure."
"You should rest." says Taka to me, and she heads to the door. "The worms are going to leave your area in about five hours. If they get stuck there, you will have to be drawn in water."
"What?" I asked Taka, but she left me, and I was trying to get up, but the pain strike and put me down to bed.
I thought the pain would be worse, but now I have worms in my body who are going to "cure". Damn... I wish the King would've sent a wizard or a mage specialized in healing spell or any other spell.
I stay on my bed, look at the ceiling and wonder about Garnet and Ulfred, what they are doing and if they are fine.
