I fell in my thoughts and said.
"But... They could be useful in the future... What do you guys think?"
I looked at the others. Some were nodding and some shaking their heads. We were getting nowhere so 'Thea suddenly raised her hand.
"How about voting? Those who want to save them raise a hand."
I raised my hand. Some also raised their hands. I started counting... There were 7 in total who agreed to help, especially those who were raped or were supposed to. While the other six were just staying quiet. After coming to a decision.. those who didn't raised their hands, shrugged their shoulders as though to express 'it can't be helped.'
I asked 'Thea.
"Can you use the blessings?"
"Yup, it feels like I can use it easily as though it was natural."
I nodded my head hearing that and started carrying out a plan.
"It's been a while since the massive headache so we might not knock them down in one hit."
Everyone listened seriously with heavy atmosphere. I continued.
"The plan will be to hit the dreads in the knees and throw them at the terrace as soon as possible. The boys will help the students outside. While me, and 'Thea will slow down the approaching dreads. The girls will stay here. We don't have much time, so let's go."
The boys stood up with weapons in hand. Me and 'Thea also stood up. I was carrying the metallic baseball bat, while 'Thea was empty handed.
We opened the door and began moving. The boys head straight to help the students while 'Thea and I stood next to the door, trying to slow down the approaching dreads.
"Use something that can affect their movements."
"Okay."
'Thea closed her eyes and said.
"Earth bind"
Hands suddenly appeared on the floor and caught the legs of three dreads in the front causing them to fall on the ground. The other dreads had to slow down and avoid stepping their comrades. Seeing that, I gave her a thumbs up.
I looked at the back. Our classmates were still struggling to immobilize the dreads.
I turned back to the front and my eyes lit up. I saw a nice opportunity, so I swung the bat. When a dread moved while avoiding its comrades, it got so close to the railings. The tip of the bat, suddenly appeared at the side of the dread's head and hit it. The blow caused the dread to fall down the railings.
"Nice hit."
'Thea praised me. The other girls were also watching from behind the windows and started talking.
"Home run!" "Nice one Gray." "That's the demon king in action."
As such comments were heard, I became shy. I saw another dread got close to the railings and swung again.
Just like the first one, the dread fell down from the railings. We know that it didn't die, because our classmates also didn't die when we threw them yesterday. They were still unconscious when we threw them, but they just woke up after a while.
The battle was still ongoing in the back. I turned to look. There were two dreads left. It looks like they already threw the other one. One dread was on the floor being pinned down by two of our classmates. The other one was still standing, but it was outnumbered with the 4 students on its front and 3 of our classmates on the back.
I turned back again to the coming dreads. Only three of them could move and the other three were pinned by the hands on the ground. They were far away from the railings so I couldn't do anything.
I made a decision. I turned to the back again and swung the bat. The tip of the bat hit the knee of the dread causing it to fall. Our classmates then hurriedly beat up the dread. Once it was immobile, they threw the two dreads out the railings.
"Come here!"
I urged the boys to come to us. They quickly ran towards us with their weapons.
"I can only hold them off for 5 seconds more..."
'Thea told us. I asked her.
"Can you use again the blessings after using it?"
"I can, after three seconds."
"Good."
The boys arrived at our spot.
"What do we do now?!"
"...Defend this spot, I guess."
Almond asked and I answered him half-heartedly. They all became enraged hearing that.
"What the heck?!" "Are you kidding me?! Do you really think we can fight all of them?!" "F*ck! We should have just stayed inside! Why do we even have to help them when we have our own problems?!"
That last one was from Lars. After hearing what he said, the ones we rescued all hanged their heads down. While that was happening, the hands on the ground were gone and the dreads were approaching faster.
"Enough of that! 'Thea, bind them again as soon as you can."
After commanding them, I looked at 'Thena and asked.
"Any ideas?"
Athena who was inside the classroom took a thinking pause for just a second and said.
"Get the heavy chair!"
Two girls quickly moved to get the chair. They brought it to our side. She then continued.
"Use that to force the dreads next to the railings..."
While she was giving instructions, my head suddenly hurts.
"Ahh..!!"
I let go of the baseball bat and held my head with both arms while letting out a shout. The dreads also held their heads and begun an uproar.
RAAAAAAAAWWRGHH
Loud roars could be heard all around the school. The students while still confused by that situation, came to themselves from Athena's yell.
"Everyone! Get back inside!"
'Thea and the others pulled me back inside the room. They closed the doors after everyone got inside. While my head was hurting, I heard a deep sounding voice inside my head.
"To think that my blood still flows until today.. Hahaha."
I was startled by that. The pain was slowly decreasing and my breathing became rough.
The girls were worried about me while the boys blocked the entrance. The uproar from outside were also getting silent.
I stayed quiet for a while. My breathing gradually became calm.
