Su Wen Ling had everything. Money, luxurious clothes, an expensive house, a large estate, fame, and most of all, a handsome, rich fiancé. On the day of her wedding, everything came crashing down.
Her sister, Su Wan Mei, took everything away from her. At Wen Ling's wedding, her sister released a video, a video of Wen Ling sleeping with another man. Wen Ling knew the truth behind the video but who was going to believe her?
The day before the wedding, Wan Mei had invited Wen Ling to a congratulatory party. Wen Ling had always trusted her sister so she agreed to go. Unfortunately, Wan Mei left Wen Ling during the party and also drugged her drink. Thanks to Wan Mei's evil plans, Wen Ling ended up sleeping with another man the night before her wedding.
Upon seeing the video now, Wen Ling knows she will never recover from this. She looks to her fiancé, Lang Tian Yu. He has to trust her, she would never do such a thing! Her sister had set her up and now her wedding is destroyed. Wen Ling stood helplessly in her wedding gown as the whispers travel around. She looks to Wan Mei but was met with a sneer. Wen Ling's mother, who had always favored Wan Mei, came up the aisle.
"You are a disgrace to the Su family! We have taught you better!" she yelled. Then with a evil glint in her eyes, she slapped Wen Ling across the face.
Wen Ling sunk to the ground. How could her sister do this to her?! She had never treated Wan Mei badly so why this?!
"Tian Yu... Do you believe it?" Wen Ling asks desperately but he wouldn't even look at her.
Then he said something that broke Wen Ling's heart into a million pieces. He might as well have stomped all over it.
"I can't believe I was about to marry such a woman. I should've married your sister."
Wen Ling couldn't believe her ears, she didn't want to. The man that she deeply loved the past 5 years, the man who promised to be by her side just told her the very words that she never wanted to hear. Heartbroken, all Wen Ling wanted now was to run away. Run away from this mess and she did. She abruptly stood up and ran straight for the doors.
No one stopped Wen Ling as she pushed through the guests and out the double doors. Tears streamed down her face as she continued to run. Soon, Wen Ling was out of the wedding hall and in broad daylight. People on the streets were staring at her but Wen Ling didn't care. The only thing on her mind was to run, run far, far away. Run away and hide herself.
Suddenly, someone screamed for her to watch out but it was too late. The next thing Wen Ling knew, she was on the ground. Her head was throbbing and all she could see were a pair of bright headlights in front of her. Am I going to die? Why is life so unfair??? If I was given a second chance, I'll make sure not to fall into the same trap again, thought Wen Ling as darkness filled her vision.

Wen Ling slowly woke up to an unfamiliar ceiling. Where am I, she thought. Carefully, she propped herself up. Wen Ling felt something tug at her hand and when she looked down, she saw an IV attached to her arm. I'm in a hospital she thought to herself. Then something caught her eye. A little calendar was propped up on the small table besides the bed. Today was May 10, XX18.
