Inspire affection

Arthur spent the rest of the week focusing solely on his cultivation, occasionally asking one of the servants within the Clan Leaders residence to purchase some knives or a small backpack for the excursion at the end of the week.

Arthur, through his servants had purchased about a dozen or so knives of varying lengths and sharpness, some serrated to cut through bone, with others designed to remove fur from skin and others to slice through tendons and muscle tissue.

Most of the knives were inly a few inches in length, easier to both conceal and carry over long periods of time. The longest knife was about half a foo long, and concealed underneath his jacket behind his waist.

It was the easiest to notice, but considering it was also the largest Arthur didn't particularly care.

So long as they focused on the big knife, they wouldn't notice the two inch long dagger go through their ear as they worried about the only knife that they could see.

Arthur didn't bring anything else, except for a small leather bag filled with water.

He didn't bother purchasing a drinking fae for personal use, and wouldn't bother wasting his origin essence on such a fae.

If he would ever use a drinking fae, he would definitely not use the Rank 1 evolution. The amount of impurities within the fae made it more suitable for a person to use water from the side of the road instead of just a Rank 1 drinking fae.

Of course the water could be cleaned and purified, but that would just be a waste of origin essence. It would be much quicker, and much more efficient just to use a water bottle instead of drinking fae.

Giving a slight nod to the guards outside the Clan Leaders house, Arthur quickly moved through the already noisy streets, as the faint glow of the moon rained down over Parachenko Village.

Arthur didn't stop by Andrea's house this morning, since it would be a huge detour for him, and instead opted to meet her at the front of the Village Gates.

Arthur arrived relatively late in comparison to some of the other students.

Alina and Borik had already arrived, as well as Randolf, who just sat in the corner quietly, cultivating.

From the looks of things, he was probably a around halfway to solid quartz origin essence, give or take another four to five weeks. His cultivation speed at Rank 1 was only exceeded by Andrea and Arthur and he probably possessed one or two more Fae from when the tournament finished.

He was secretly being helped by some of the Elders without as much power as the Medicine Hall Elder or the Regulations Elder, so attaining a couple more Fire Attributed Fae wasn't that difficult all things considered.

The moment Arthur turned the corner and arrived at the front gate, Randolf stopped cultivating and opened his eyes, glancing towards Arthur.

Arthur smiled politely at him, causing Randolf to nod before continuing his cultivation.

'Such a hard worker', Arthur thought.

Randolf's cultivation was proceeding even faster than what Arthur knew. Obviously under the pressure of both monsters like Arthur and Andrea existing in Kovacs Village with him.

In Arthur's previous life, Randolf was a big fish in a small pond, but this time, he was a small fish in a small pond. His change in demeanour and perspective was as a result of this pressure.

Arthur didn't know what type of foreign treasure this Randolf possessed, but he didn't want him to come into contact with his fae, or Andrea's fae.

If Randolf really did have something that could observe Fae, or their abilities, one would need to be careful what they showed to Randolf, so as to avoid getting all their secrets exposed.

Arthur paused for a moment, deciding to sit down and cultivate as well, but felt an unpleasant gaze on his body, causing him to frown deeply before refining his solid origin essence.

'I swear I'm going to kill this geezer today....', Arthur's killing intent was suppressed greatly but still caused some of the people close to him to shiver slightly.

They glanced around, noticing no wind or breeze brushed through this area and just threw the thought to the back of their minds.

Randolf, who was sitting close to Arthur, instantly turned his head towards him, his breath paused before he moved closer to Arthur, his voice low.

"Are you doing it today?".

Arthur frowned being annoyed by the presence of an annoying fly and a nosy foreigner.

His unfathomable gaze turned towards Randolf, who instantly straightened his back as he peered towards Arthur.

"I have no idea what you are talking about", his tone was cold, and his voice caused shivers to crawl up Randolf's spine.

The hairs on his arms raised, and he gave Arthur a strange look before shaking his head.

Arthur was probably the one person he was truly afraid of. This psychopath was definitely a killer, and one unafraid of authority or getting caught!

His father was the Clan Leader for crying out loud! Even if his cultivation wasn't destroyed, he would probably just get exiled or something, and live on the outskirts of the Clan territory!

Arthur removed his gaze from Randolf's body, turned slightly as the three Lecture Hall Elders appeared.

They were being escorted by two Rank 2 Fae Masters, Chensa and her partner Rab, while those two were escorting Andrea to the main gate.

Arthur's eyes examined Andrea's body and his eyes widened for a moment before returning to their normal state.

Although Andrea hadn't reached solid origin essence yet, she was undoubtably on the brink of doing so!

In less than a week, no.... perhaps in less than five days she would break through and reach solid quartz origin essence!

Ever since she awakened the Boundless Forest Sovereign, her cultivation speed had skyrocketed!

Not only that, but in addition to her two original Fae. The Origin Fae, woodpecker fae and the second fae, flash fae, she had a multitude of other Fae at her disposal.

The two other Fae that the Clan had given her, under the guise of self-protection were the thorn spear fae and the blood petal fae. Both of which were Rank 1 Fae that could be used offensively.

Arthur had bought the vine fae for Andrea, which was a Rank 1 control type fae, capable of controlling a certain area around her.

In addition, due to this little excursion, one of the Lecture Hall Elders had purchased a thorn skin fae for Andrea. This particular Rank 1 Fae could allow a Fae Master to create thorns from anywhere in this body.

If they had been captured, they could activate this fae and pierce the kidnapper with sharp five or six inch long thorns. The amount of thorns was dependent on how much origin essence the Fae Master used.

"Not to mention her Affection Tree Fae. The unique Secondary Origin Fae for the Boundless Forest Yearning Sovereign Boundary Physique....".

The Affection Tree Fae didn't have any direct combat abilities, but worked on any living creature that walked the Thirty Three Heavens. It could inspire affection within humans, spirit beasts and even members of the Myriad Races.

Arthur had heard of a story about someone who reached Fae Immortal with the Boundless Forest Yearning Sovereign Boundary Physique, and allowed their Rank 5 evolution of the Affection Tree Fae to become an Immortal Fae.

"It was said that the Immortal Affection Tree Fae could inspire affection within the Heavens and the Earth, giving the wielder of the Boundless Forest Yearning a blessing in both luck and cultivation. It could also inspire affection within all things mortal, and could control countless people to do their bidding.....".

Arthur shivered slightly.

What a terrifying power, he thought.

Andrea saw him cultivation and walked towards him sitting down beside him as she also cultivated. There was less than half an hour before the sunrise, and the Elders were all counting the number of students to make sure no one was missing.
