Semi Finals

Leon, Dominic and Chensa gazed towards Arthur, slightly concerned expressions on their faces.

They couldn't do anything about what Fae his opponent used, or even how he won so long as he didn't sabotage or cheat his opponent before, or during the match, but using his deceased lover against him was a little.... low.

Arthur returned to his seat, his arms crossed and his expression still blank as he closed his eyes.

While his siblings and family were slightly concerned how this would affect Arthur's mentality, or his wellbeing, Arthur's Father, Niklos just nodded slightly.

'Arthur understands better than most about the importance of one person over the Clan. With Andrea present, I have no doubt that he would put her wellbeing before others. But now that she is gone, he can focus on the bigger picture.

No one person is more important than the entire Clan. Even if Andrea's potential was extraordinary, as someone with the Thirty Three Sovereign Boundary Physiques, she was destined to leave the Clan for greater heights. She may bring respect to the Clan, but she will also bring animosity, so long as she ascends higher and higher.

Raising the Clan as a whole, rather than just one person is better in the long run, and solidifies our foundations more. Since Arthur can even do something like this, he doesn't need to focus on just individuals anymore....'.

Niklos thought he understood Arthur's beliefs better than Dominic or Leon, but, in truth, none of them knew what Arthur was currently thinking.

His eyes were closed, and his breathing once again regained its steady pattern.

'That illusion fae user.... not bad'.

Using dead loved ones against a target.... pretty effective all things considered.

Arthur had dabbled in such a thing in his previous life, but his attainment in Illusion Attributed Fae was next to nothing.

Randolf beside him, glanced at Arthur, but didn't make any sort of movement or gestures towards him. He too would without even so much as blinking cut down someone, even if they were people from his previous life.

He had been reborn in this new world, one filled with danger, fae, death and powerful Fae Masters.

It was so much more interesting than his previous nine to five job. Why would he even want to go back?

He even had a "cheat" in the form of his A.I., which could scan the information of things that come into contact with his body or origin essence.

Why would he care about other people, when this world only cares about strength?

Randolf glanced at Arthur once more.

'He is probably the same. Arthur probably knows that strength is the only thing that matters'.

Surprisingly, Randolf was the person who understood Arthur the best. He was a little bit off, but still, it was a much better understanding than any of his siblings or parents.

Arthur just leaned his head back and closed his eyes.

It had only been a few minutes after smashing in the fake Andrea's face, but already he had forgotten Borris' name.

The other fights continued quite swiftly, and once again did the timeline follow Arthur's previous life's memories.

The semi-finals quickly came, and Niklos smiled gently as he felt the eyes of every person present on his body.

He pulled out two pieces of paper, causing his smile to widen greatly as his voice boom throughout the arena.

"The first fight of the semi-finals will be.... Randolf versus Ratimir!".

The crowds screamed out, and many young men and women started placing their bets.

"300 silver taels on Randolf winning!".

"5 origin essence stones on Ratimir being the victor!".

"I'll put a thousand silver taels on Randolf!".

The prospect of winning money.... was never not enticing to Humanity.

In the participant seats, many glanced between Randolf and Ratimir, before a look of realization came upon them and then glanced between Alina and Arthur.

Randolf moved his head slightly and glanced at Ratimir, who eyed the first-tier talent carefully, not even blinking as he turned his focus back towards the stage.

Alina too turned towards Arthur, but narrowed her eyes the moment he saw that his eyes were still closed.

The girl had to admit.... that after Andrea's death, she planned to get closer to Arthur.

Arthur wasn't just the third born son as the Clan Leader, but also the possessor of a mysterious diary that contained Fae Formula. She had seen how Arthur treated Andrea during their time together, and knew that his cold, aloof exterior was just a façade.

Arthur was also, in her opinion the most handsome young man in her generation, and was an extremely capable Fae Master. He was a perfect companion for someone like her.

She did think that he personality needed.... a little work, but she believed that she could try and change him, knowing how he acted towards Andrea.

Seeing him ignore her irked her slightly, but only stimulated ideas of how to change such a thing in her mind.

Arthur opened an eye and muttered some words towards Randolf.

"You think you'll lose?".

Randolf scoffed and rolled his eyes.

"I'm a Rank 2 Fae Master, and he's a Rank 1 Fae Master. I don't have to worry about the little tricks that he's hiding".

Arthur smirked slightly.

"I'm a Rank 1 Fae Master, does that mean your not scared of losing to me?".

Randolf turned his head and started directly back at Randolf. The shivers he got from staring into his eyes had vanished, although Arthur still gave off that unfathomable feeling.

He too smiled, albeit not as arrogantly.

"Of course I'm not scared. Even if you have learnt a half Attribute Control Skill, you can't make up the difference in origin essence sea, or cultivation. Remember, you still have to fight Alina as well".

Arthur hummed a little bit, the corners of his mouth rising a fraction of an inch, as he glanced towards said girl.

She noticed his glance and narrowed her eyes slightly, but noticed him close them as he continued to talk to Randolf.

"I don't think it'll be too much of a problem. Even if she has a first-tier talent now, only the duration and intensity of her combat has increased. The style and movements haven't changed at all".

Randolf raised an eyebrow, understanding something something just a little bit more.

Arthur's combat prowess was better than his own, that much he was unafraid of admitting.

Knowing that he had been watching the training of others, or at least the progression from a year ago until today meant that Arthur knew how they had adapted to their new combat styles, as well as their strengths and weaknesses.

It was just one disadvantage of teaching, or training people together.

If one was smart enough, or not bothered to train themselves, they could observe others.

Randolf hadn't shown his true strength or power during the Lecture Hall training, which was a good thing now that he knew Arthur was watching them.

He let out a breath of turbid air before standing up and walking towards the stage.

He didn't know that Arthur had already watched their combat styles during his previous life. Watching them all again, only caused those memories to resurface, rather than just memorizing them all over again.

Randolf and Ratimir both walked up to the stage, and eyed each other carefully from across the platform.

Unlike all of the other fights, this one, would be something that both of them would have to "try" in.
