Nyssa versus Henrik (2/2)

The sound of a giant metal mallet, colliding against a metal floor resounded all throughout the stage. Henrik narrowed his eyes, and turned his head towards the side, jumping back as he avoided a flurry of strikes from Nyssa's bone spear.

The area where his conjoined fists collided with the now steel platform had sunken in greatly. As if a bus, or some sort of vehicle had rammed into the ground.

Deactivating his Hand Mallet Fae, Henrik blocked a strike from Nyssa's bone spear, creating a large burst of sparks to spray out from where her spear scrapped against his arm.

Henrik could still feel the pain and heat from such a blow, but there wasn't an wound, or any sort of physical damage on his arm.

Seeing the lack of any damage that it did, Henrik smirked, while Nyssa frowned before twirling her spear, increasing her momentum.

The young illegitimate son sent out a flurry of vicious blows, aimed at Nyssa's chest and abdomen, their speed blindingly fast, almost to the point where their fellow classmates couldn't seen his movements.

Seeing the high intensity combat between Nyssa and Henrik, both of whom, to their knowledge were mortal born Fae Masters, most of their classmates felt a seed of inferiority form within their hearts and minds.

None of them knew about the hardships and the intense training both of them had gone through over the past month, but these immature minds couldn't comprehend exactly what was the difference between Nyssa, Henrik and themselves.

Quite a number of girls already disliked Nyssa, due to her beauty, while a few of the boys had suddenly formed a dislike for Henrik and his strength.

No matter where you are in the cultivation world, there will always exist those who feel jealous, or inferior to the talented and hardworking. They had suddenly become Fae Masters, and crossed a line which the vast majority of people could never do in their lifetimes, but only found that the immensity between the heavens and the earth, was far greater than they originally imagined....

Arthur could practically feel the negative emotions radiating from some of Nyssa and Henrik's classmates. His sensitivity towards such things had increased slightly, and even though Emotion Laws, unlike Wood or Fire Laws was more difficult to influence the physical world with, his ability to sense them had increased dramatically.

'I knew a couple of Fae Immortals who specialized in Emotion Laws in my past life. They were all extremely good at either healing, or scheming.... most often both'.

Emotion Laws were the best form of healing for mental illnesses or mental diseases. Matters dealing with the mind, the heart, and emotions usually resulted in stagnated cultivation, or even a twistedness of ones righteous path.

Emotion Laws were dangerous, especially in the hands of someone who knew how to use them.

Arthur couldn't help but suppress a smirk.

'I suppose it is perfect for me then', he thought.

Back on the stage, Nyssa frowned slightly, as she parried another set of heavy strikes from Henrik. The girl had tried to use the style that Arthur was familiar with, which used the constant rotation from her polearm in order to increase the strength of her attacks, but her technique and dexterity wasn't anywhere near as high as Arthur's current self.

Up until a month ago, she hadn't tempered or done any kind of martial arts. Her foundations where much weaker than Arthur's, or even Henrik's for that matter.

The young girl jumped back a few paces, biting her bottom lip before she turned towards Arthur up in the stands. The object of her affection was currently staring at her, smiling slightly, in amusement or entertainment before Nyssa shook her head and strengthened her resolve.

'If I can't defeat Henrik right here, then I don't deserve to stand beside Arthur!'.

Her bloodlust increased several fold, as her crimson coloured eyes locked onto Henrik's approaching figure.

He too, wanted to impress certain people in the crowd, not just the parent whom he didn't consider a Father, but also the slightly older young man who believed in him, and gave him the guidance and the knowledge to become stronger.

Activating his Metal Lance Fae, Henrik grabbed the two floating lances above him, scrapping them together and producing countless sparks. He wanted to intimidate Nyssa as much as he possibly could, so as to weaken her resolve, or to make her slip up and make a mistake.

Nyssa narrowed her eyes and sped forward, her speed exceeding Henrik's, due to his metallic physique!

The cost of such a high defensive and offensive power was obvious to Henrik's speed and agility! He could deflect Nyssa's blows, making them useless, but he couldn't block what he couldn't keep up with!

He spun around on the balls of his feet, spinning around to keep up with Nyssa's constantly shifting movements.

The young man turned around, his eyes widening as he saw nothing but a steel covered stage, quickly trying to adjust the tilt of his head and the positioning of his feet so as to block Nyssa's-.

Henrik fell one one knee, as an immense weight smashed the rear of his lower leg. He wanted to stand up, but Nyssa activated another one of her Fae.

Henrik's eyes widened, and a huge amount of pain burst forth from his lower back, as Nyssa plunged a small bone knife into Henrik's body.

It was only about 10 inches long, but more than half of it had been pushed into Henrik. His arms flailed around, trying to reach for it, but the huge burly physique of the Kovacs Clan prevented him from reaching that point.

The young man narrowed his eyes, and gritted his teeth as he roared, swinging his arms around uncontrollably, aimed at hitting anything that got to close for comfort. However-.

The reach from Nyssa's spear, far exceeded that of Henrik's arms.

Even if she were to only hold into the end of the spear, it was more than enough for her to push into Henrik's upper shoulder. Piercing straight through, and coming out the other side.

Her eyes widened, and a glimpse of victory could be seen within her eyes as-.

Nyssa's face was struck with one of Henrik's metal lances. An enormous cut, and a huge amount of blood spilled out of the wound uncontrollably as Nyssa fell to the ground, screaming and clutching at her face.

Henrik grunted loudly, as he pulled out the bone spear fae from his shoulder, throwing it onto the ground before turning toward the referee.

"Call the match. It's my victory", he said.

Henrik turned towards Nyssa, who was squirming on the ground, still crying as she clutched her face. A hateful expression could be seen on her face, but.... even more than that, a feeling of disappointment filled her body.

She.... had let down Arthur....

Back in the stands, Arthur sighed before stretching his back, letting out a small yawn as he rubbed his eyes.

His figure froze for a moment before a sudden realization came over him.

"I should really try to remember the outcomes of fights more often. I could make an enormous amount of a thousand years worth of knowledge and experience....".
