Arthur returned all of their Fae, before glancing at the rest of them, turning around while waving half-heartedly at them.
"I'll see all of you guys later alright. There is something that I need to check up on..... Oh, and take a visit to the Medicine Hall while you guys are at it. I'll foot the bill".
Parvan and the others could only watch helplessly as Arthur's figure vanished as he entered the Village. The battered, and injured Fae Masters that he left behind could do nothing but fall onto the ground, letting their hands cover their faces as their bodies shook.
Milena felt tears form in her eyes, but couldn't help but laugh while gazing at Parvan and the others.
Every single time that they tried to beat him.... he only ended up one upping them even further. The four of them, no, the nine of them now, couldn't even lay a finger on him.
And to add insult to injury, he completely broke down their Combined Control Skill and revamped it, making the flow of origin essence more stable, and their overall strength of the Attribute Control Skill even more deadly.
The Verdant Corpse Garden was an area of affect Combined Control Skill, that created a net above the opponent. With all the other Fae Masters around them, they theoretically couldn't get out. They would rain down corpse poison, blood lances and bones spurs towards them, trapping them under an unrelenting shower of ranged attacks.
And that was without the other five attacking from the sides. It was supposed to be their trump card, something that Arthur couldn't resist, and yet he annihilated them instantly.
Parvan felt his fist smash into the ground beneath them, his expression, angry, tense, annoyed. He thought that the distance between Arthur and them was in sight, but all they could see were the trails he left behind.
Nyssa and the others wanted to speak up, but Henrik just shook his head.
"I can't fully expect to understand how all of you are feeling. The difference in talent between Arthur and you all, even us all isn't that much. However, his perception, comprehension and knowledge is just.... unfathomable. Elder Vova, Elder Karl and Elder Jakob all concede to him in terms of perception.... They even said that even if Arthur was placed in a Clan or Sect with Fae Immortals, that he would still be considered a top-tier genius. He managed to go so far as a Fae Master with no resources here, and yet in the entire Azure Envy Continent he would be a man amongst men....".
Parvan and Zlatanna, along with Milena and Iryna narrowed their eyes.
They all knew that.... but....
With every step they take, Arthur takes three steps forward. His abilities were beyond amazing they were....
"Monstrous. Is the exact word they used".
A monster.
They didn't know that Arthur was a reincarnate, or something with a Sovereign Boundary Physique, so it was natural that they didn't think of anything else. Comparing themselves to a man with a thousand years more experience than them.... of course they would feel inferior.
That was what Arthur wanted. To push them to the point where the only strength they desired could come from him.
The image of strength in their hearts was him, and the image of talent in their hearts was him. If they wanted to become powerful, they would try and walk in Arthur's footsteps.
Milena just rolled her eyes, letting the tears fall out.
"For us, we're all just a few months younger than him. And for you guys there is more than twelve months difference. We all have the same level of talent roughly, and even then, Randolf was the only one to reach Rank 2 within a single year. Considering that, only Nyssa, after an entire year will be able to fight the current Arthur.
He is already a Rank 2 vapour ruby origin essence Fae Master. Even though his talent is low, Arthur has access to origin essence regeneration Fae that can speed up his cultivation. In a year from now.... he definitely won't remain a vapour ruby origin essence Fae Master. The gap between him and us, will only continue to widen....".
All nine of them felt their hearts sink and their minds become cloudy as they thought more and more about Arthur.
It was just.... too much. Especially for just a young fifteen to sixteen year to handle. It was easier for the older generations, who had seen generation after generation of talented young Fae Masters come through, over and over again, but all of the younger ones didn't understand the differences between Arthur and them.
They all thought, that at the end of the day, talent is what decides a Fae Master. It is the easiest form of measurement, and can be seen from the moment they awaken their talents.
Measuring something intangible, and formless, like perception and comprehension seemed.... silly. They didn't understand the requirements or how to obtain perception.
Iryna, who was looking pale in the face, let out a large sigh.
"You know.... Arthur did have that book remember? The strange version of the
The rest of them nodded.
"Elder Vova, gained insight into Wood Laws when he read the normal
The other six Fae Masters, excluding Eric and Helga, both of whom were unconscious, but not bleeding, turned towards Iryna, who just shrugged her shoulders and let out another wince.
"I mean, sure he's talented and everything, but maybe he discerned something from the other
Henrik cradled his chin slightly, before opening his mouth to speak, his tone slightly.... hesitant.
"I.... might be able to get a copy of that
All of the others turned towards Henrik, with slightly widened eyes. They all paused for a second, before showing expressions of realization.
Henrik's father was Elder Zarek, the one Arthur had given this variant
They all looked at him hungrily, and Henrik took a step back, waving his hands in front of him.
"I said maybe okay!? It's not a guarantee! The chances of me being able to talk to him aren't 100% either! I am just a bastard after all".
The rest of them nodded, laying back down on the ground lazily. Henrik was quite happy that all of them didn't care about his heritage, or his relationship with Elder Zarek. Dagen thought it would've been nice to know before he defeated him, but that was water under the bridge at that point.
They all wanted to see that "book" that was so valuable that even the elders fought over the rights to read it. It was in Arthur's possession for who knows how many years.... Even if he was extremely talented, they all wanted to see just what was the secret that Arthur had kept from the Clan for so many years.
Because if Elder Vova could discern a Truth from the normal
While the remaining seven conscious Fae Masters discussed possibilities with each other, Arthur was currently smiling as he glanced at the sight in front of him.
The image of two Fae Masters, holding tightly onto a maddeningly strong and crazed middle aged woman, eyes completely black, with elongated nails and sharpened teeth could be seen in the distance. Her clothes were completely covered in blood, and the dead bodies of a middle aged man, and two young children could be seen on the floor.
The woman looked as though she was possessed by a Hatred Fae, although the physical strength she received was far greater than what the Hatred Fae should allow.
Arthur glanced at the bright green coloured veins all over her body, reminiscent of a certain green coloured powder he had prepared several weeks earlier.
The calm and collected smile on his face, would've caused demons to shiver.
"Finally.... things are finally moving forward".
