A Fae Master can never defeat a Fae Immortal

Violet Sunglass left shortly after, although one of the peak Rank 3 Fae Master bodyguards glared at Arthur the moment he stepped out the door. Despite being a mere attendant, he felt that his status as a member of the Violet Clan was much higher than a low-born from a crappy region like the Winter Rain Mountains.

The upper echelons of the White Dominion Sect, and White Corpse City had already probed about Arthur's identity and origins. While most of them believed that this generations Boundless Forest Yearning was undoubtably talented, he lacked the foundations that their own Sect possessed.

Only a few like Elder Raincloud, Lord Blood Mist and Generous Soul knew that the Boundless Forest Yearning possessed depths that was anything but shallow.

Just from his killing intent alone, it was obvious that he had experienced things that a simple background check could not discern.

Not to mention the-.

"Wait.... You're telling me that there is a Fae Grounds directly beneath White Corpse City!?".

Arthur nodded, writing some notes down about Ghosts within one of his journals before lifting his head and glancing at the rest of his group.

"Yeah. If anyone wants to use it they have to pay a heavy price though. But it can help in the formation of Law Images and perceiving the first few levels of a Law".

"Why didn't you tell any of us!?".

Arthur sighed, shaking his head, not bothering to look up at the rest of them.

"None of you practice Wood Laws. So it wouldn't be beneficial for any of you. Forcing you all to perceive Wood Laws would slow down your cultivation, as well as your current paths. Small term benefits aren't worth anything if they damage your long term returns....".

Parvan unconsciously looked down, tapping the floor a couple times.

"You mean, there is a giant abyss directly below us?".

Arthur nodded, licking his finger and turning the page.

"You'll probably all find this out later, but where we once resided on the Falling Snow River was near the end of the Fae Ground. The spiritual essence was undoubtably thick and pure, but not of the same quality as White Corpse City. That is because the source of the Fae Ground was somewhere else. River type Fae Grounds are one of the largest, and thus, most valuable Fae Grounds. Perhaps only second to the Abyss Entrances or the Frozen Cities....".

"The Rootless Abyss beneath us is tiny in comparison, and yet its smaller size allows it to be one entire source. By getting closer to the source of a Fae Ground one can perceive the Laws that make up a Fae Ground. The Yellow Springs River has one, and even the Enlightened Bodhi River has one. Not to mention the "real" Corpse Shore in the Amber Pride Continent. The only person who can actually benefit from one of the Fae Grounds I mentioned is Milena, and in her current state, she has no right to even enter the upper stratums of the Yellow Springs River. So there isn't anything you can do really....".

The eleven other Fae Masters, including the two new additions in the form of Lavinia and Valentine, fell silent when they heard Arthur's words.

There was actually.... such a way of speeding up the perception of Laws?

They all thought that Laws were something intangible, imperceptible, and were impossibly difficult notions to even touch upon! It look Elder Vova his entire lifetime to form a pseudo first level Wood Law!

They all thought that Boundary Physiques, and Sovereign Boundary Physiques were what allowed Fae Masters to perceive Laws! Forming a Law Image using only one's innate capabilities were either for extremely talented geniuses, or....

Arthur shrugged his shoulders.

"Most of the "sources" are in the hands of Immortal Sects and Immortal Clans. As such, even if their descendents were the most garbage talents in the past thousand years, they would be able to perceive Laws after a given amount of time. It's how they keep their power and continuously push out so-called genius after genius.....".

In reality, there was nothing wrong with using Fae Grounds to enhance ones level of Laws.

However, using a Fae Ground in order to form a Law Image took away a section of Mystery from the Fae Ground itself.

It made it weaker. Most Fae Immortals knew this, although didn't particularly care, considering that it would take a few thousand years in order to damage the vitality and spirituality of a Fae Ground. But considering that most Immortal Sects and Immortal Clans could exist for at least a few millennia....

Arthur just shook his head gently.

The life and death of those around him, even those whom gave birth to him didn't matter.

But the value of an entire Fae Ground was.... extraordinary. Untalented Fae Immortal descendents that formed Law Images in this way..... Arthur despised them.

Milena just frowned slightly, shaking her head.

"But why doesn't anyone do anything about it? The White Dominion Sect is a peak Sect! Far stronger than anything I've ever seen before! From their knowledge, to their Corpse Shore replica, to the facilities and Fae, they should be able to do something about-".

"Milena.... It's impossible for a peak Rank 5 Fae Master to defeat a Rank 6 Fae Immortal".

Arthur put the book in his hands down, staring at her dead in the eyes.

His expression was.... different than normal.

Shaking his head, Arthur continued.

"You have not experienced the power of a Fae Immortal before, or even just an Immortal existence so that is fine. However, Ascension, or the process of being released from this mortal coil, and transcending life and death is.... there are too many factors at play. If one had a Sovereign Boundary Physique, then they might be able to hold their own, at least for a few moves".

"And I'm not talking about the Boundless Forest Yearning, or even the Overflowing Ocean Depths. I'm saying that unless you have the Myriad Lightning Spear, or the Perpetual Titan Strength or even higher, then you can forget about temporarily matching a Fae Immortal. It.... has never been done before".

The resoluteness in Arthur's tone caused shivers to creep down the spines of the other eleven Fae Masters.

Since Arthur was so sure with his words.... could it be that he has seen a Fae Immortal before?

Arthur just rubbed his temples, letting out a loud sigh.

"It's not just the power of Laws or origin essence that experiences a qualitative boost. Intent is easier to form, and Thoughts, Emotions and Desires are tempered, making them ridiculously refined and pure. Bloodlines are formed from the experiences, Fae, and Physiques that one possesses. Giving all Fae Immortals an innate ability, or even abilities! Spirits are born from the union of the spiritual sea, Fae and Fae materials. A section of the Soul is broken off and refined into an existence similar to a Origin Fae.....".

"There are other factors as well Milena. Innate Immortal Treasures can be formed as well, and for Humans, Origin Fae experience a slight change as well. Depending on what Laws one has formed Law Images of as well, a myriad of different things could potentially happen....".

Arthur just glanced at the clock on the wall before snapping his fingers a few times, drawing the focus of the slightly dazed Fae Masters.

Arthur had just spoken of Ascension, Fae Immortals, Laws, Intents, Bloodlines, Spirits and even Immortal Treasures like it was nothing.

If there was one thing for sure they all knew, Arthur had experienced something "more" than what they all currently understood.

Standing up, Arthur nodded to all of them, straightening out his new set of clothes before heading out.

It was time for the Boundless Forest Yearning to step into the limelight.
