C339- Yet...

The twist of tow carried in hands lighted the moisten aura. The march took them till they reached a solar incandescence area. They bowed down in front of spherical comet and started chanting. The chanting got noisier. It got stronger till they started yelling. Ole was surprised when Sycamore tug the hem of her robe. Ole thought that she was the only one feeling aghast. The chanting was like a spell hypnotizing them. Ole had it rough since it's literally banging to her eardrums.

"scouwōn cruc-, crux. (choose your torchbearer.)"

Ole felt dizzy and sick at the roaring. She wanted to rip off those mouth and mute their voices. It was like a buzzling swarm of bees.

Her ears were itching and irratated. Ole grit her teeth as the view started to go in circle. Her breathing started to get uneven. It was stuffy and unpleasant. That was when Sycamore held on to her pinky finger and whispered.

"Let us move at the back."

Ole followed Sycamore to the end part of the line. The two carefully lip sync with the people around them.

It was nerve-wracking everytime they bump and got closer to someone but at point Ole was relieved that the roaring and yelling clothed their plan.

They stood by the end of the people and observed.

"I think we should pray." Sycamore suggested as they stood together. Ole nodded as they started to silently pray.

"In this midst of storm we call in your greatness. Your amazing grace are born under this crises. We believe that your the reason why we can see that you have a purpose in this situation. We don't understand. We feel bothered and left out but we believe that you will never forsake us. Let your glory shine here. Thank you for the security our Lord. Amen."

Their surrounding went silent. All eyes were on them. The two was shock when the men started applauding. They started to kneel and bow but the gust of wind blew out their cover.

The clapping turned to gnashing. Ole clasped her hand and uttered a hymnn.

" O Lord who is not only known of His mercy and justice. Your fierce anger aflamed for any provocation of worshipping what is made by human hand. Let it be that your creation are available to be used and for it not to incite the wickedness within heart. Let your slain be recoded as a waste land. Amen."

Ole grew a horn made of bones. Her coal like armour shielded her body. Her fist got wrapped by a petal like bone blade. She stepped with her coal shoes as she shine under the rain shower. She opened her palm and sliced through the army who held their torch even if they fall on the ground.

Sycamore positioned himself and prayed.

"Our God who sees how our heart. You know that it is full of deciet that is why you have given us the heart to know you. May you reformed the actions of this people for no person can change another only You our God can. Amen."

Sycamore bloomed in his literal wide shade and fig racemes. He used the leaves to perish the light. The people in cape panicked when the fire went out. They started to get violent and fought with Ole and Sycamore who did not break any leg nor even produced a sweat.

"What does this gathering imply?" Ole interrogated.

"Revive the torchbearer." the cape man replied.

"What are the aim?" Sycamore asked.

"Revive the Torchbearer." he repeated.

Ain observed the house and saw Wifey gathering some flax. Ain knew that ancient people uses it to create a robe. A royal linen for noble household.

"Are you going to sew?" Ain asked when he approach her.

"No. I like the scent of flax that is why I picked some and would put it in a vase." Wifey smiled.

"I see." Ain muttured as stared at her fingers gently picking the flowers.

"I am sorry for not being able to help you. But I can give you a clue. The fountain at the orphanage is a passage. Wait for the sound of bell before leaping but I am not sure if it will connect you to where the two kids are." Wifey stated as she walk her way to the house.

Ain sliced the space and got home. He dropped Nimrod from his shoulder since he won't wake up.

"Saga, take me to the fountain by the orphanage." Ain instructed.

"Cherith and Urchin will go with me. Selah and Kahieli with Nimrod stay here guard the house." He added before seating on the table and pleading for food.

Saga was surprised when they rushed in the orphanage, He lead the team in front of the rubbled statue.

"This is bad." Ain stated as he looked at how charred and battered the proud symbol if the orphanage.

Mehe happen to stop by and asked.

"Oh, what are you doing here?"

The four looked at the woman and Cherith was surprised when she instantly grabbed his pinched and braided his owl like hair.

"Umm.. we are checkin the fountain since it was the very symbol of the orphanage." Saga answered.

"Ah, yes. It was an ancient well. The kids were scared of it that is why they put this symbol. The founder named it Tale Bearer." Mehe explained.

Mehe bid her goodbye as her shadow faded from the location. Her smile bear the mystery as she lead them on a passage that leads to a secret that she already know.

Ain sliced through the space and a creepy well got shown. It was in depth and dark.

"I don't want to leap here." Cherith stated.

"Are you scared?" Saga teased.

"Yes, can't you feel the evil entity down there?" Cherith pointed.

"It's like a monster's jaw." Urchin agreed.

Ain transformed the kids into a bite size. He focused and waited for the bell to ring.

He recalled what Wifey instructed.

"The bell is swaying with the wind. Be alert."

The faint bell rang and Ain leaped inside the well.
