A Disgrace

Continuation of Milo's POV:

I glanced around the ballroom as I heard the chatter of vampires talking to one another. I ended up getting to stay with Lyle the entire time since the car. None of his siblings had tried to take me from him yet... probably because they knew they'd get a dance tonight if they wanted it. I squeezed Lyle's hand in nervousness, my heart beating fast. We were supposed to have the first dance... officially... in front of others. He looked towards me and smirked. "You know if I don't take your first dance tonight, you have to stay with me all the way through the night." I looked up at him and blushed, wondering if he was dropping a hint to keep me close.

"Really?" I asked softly, frowning a little. I kind of wanted a dance with him... even though I was nervous... but I don't want to be taken.

"Or I can steal your first dance tonight with us being alone on the dance floor." He leaned in and purred in my ear. I blushed and squeezed his hand a little more, my heart beating a little faster.

"Alone?" I mumbled under my breath, looking towards him longingly. I wanted to be in his arms again... but I don't think it would be okay if I tried to climb into his arms here.... It'd be questionable.... He would get upset too.... Looking at him was a mistake. As soon as I looked at him, I couldn't help but take in his white dress shirt with a black tailcoat over it and his black dress pants that suited him nicely. I blushed. What is wrong with me? That shouldn't matter to me... right? I bit my bottom lip and tore my eyes away from what he was wearing, my heart practically racing now as I looked up into his eyes.

"Just us as your first official dance," he smirked towards me. "When a king dances first of the night he gets the whole dance floor to himself with his dance partner." I blushed and looked towards the rest of the vampires before I looked back up at him.

"What if I mess up?" I whispered to him, giving his hand another squeeze.

"You won't," he whispered to me. I nodded and then moved closer to him.

"O-okay," I whispered back to him. "I don't mind dancing with you." I'd love it! Wait, what? Love it? Is that the right words? I blushed again and hid my face into his chest. What is going on with me tonight?!

"Then may I..." He stepped a foot away from me and bowed, exposing his hand for mine. "Have this dance?" I blushed slightly and looked towards his hand and then at him before I smiled and gently took his hand in mine.

"You may," I whispered to him softly. He snatched my hand and whisked me towards the middle of the dance floor where it was clearing off and getting silent. I blushed as I followed him, not able to take my eyes off him as he led me to the center. The rest of my surroundings were sort of falling away... becoming a subconscious thought that they were even there as Lyle became the center of my attention. He was my maker... but even if he was, I'm starting to think that maybe I want to be near him just because I want to be... not just because of some sort of fledgling thing. I want to be close to him.... Suddenly the music started up as he lead me through a dance. I watched him closely, letting him lead me without a problem. It was almost effortless, not hard at all for me to remember how to dance. I wasn't even tripping up on him, and I didn't even have to look at my feet, not that I wanted to. I kept my eyes on his, watching him as my breath was being taken away by the way we were moving to the music, the sheer happiness I was experiencing by being near him. He looked me in the eyes and gave a small smile.

"You're doing well." I smiled softly at him.

"Really?" I asked sweetly. He thinks I'm doing well! Yes! I'm meeting his expectations! "That's good," I mumbled happily.

"Keep it up." His eyes lingered to the eyes watching us then back to me. I blinked and then remembered the others, frowning slightly. Oh... yeah.... We're being watched. I sighed softly. It's kind of a publicity stunt for him right now.... I glanced towards them, seeing practically everyone watching. "Don't mind them. This is just about us. Imagine we are alone." I smiled at that and looked back at him with a sweet look.

"Okay," I whispered to him and moved a little closer to him.

"Easy, you'll trip up." His eyes lingered over my body. I bit my bottom lip and nodded, taking a little more care in my movements with him.

"This is really fun," I whispered to him sweetly. It was a lot better than I originally thought it'd be.

"I'm happy you're enjoying it," he purred and tugged me along through the movement. I smiled as I watched him, getting quiet as I got lost in his eyes, and before I knew it, I heard clapping. The song had ended. I widened my eyes a little and glanced around as it was like waking up. Oh... No! I frowned, remembering I was about to be taken by his sister.... I looked back at him quickly, not wanting him to let go. He laughed and pulled away from me, pulling me towards his sister as girls started to flock our way. I looked towards him then towards his sister as she bounced up happily.

"That was beautiful to watch," she said and smiled at us. "You've really come a long way Milo. My turn!" She quickly stole me from him and hugged me. "You look so cute tonight! I'm glad I called dibs before these other girls could sink their fangs into you." She looked at them and then at me, kissing my cheek.

"Take good care of him," Lyle told her sternly. "Make sure to have fun. I won't be far away." I looked towards him longingly before she nodded.

"Okay, don't worry. I'll treat him just like he was my fledgling," she purred to him and started to pull me away quickly. I yelped and couldn't help looking over my shoulder for him, my heart thudding loudly. Lyle! I didn't like this one bit. Lyle's attention was caught by the girls swarming him as I was tugged away. I felt my heart sink at the sight, and I felt sick seeing all the girls around him in adoration. It wasn't fair.... He's my maker.... I frowned and let out a small whimper just as she stopped with me. She glanced at them then at me. "Milo," she whispered, her eyes saddening. "You poor thing.... I'd recognize that look anywhere. Come here," she mumbled and pulled me closer, kissing my cheek. "That's a bad maker right there... not noticing what that does to you and allowing your heart to get all hurt like that, especially at your first ball.... You love him, don't you?" She asked me softly, catching me off guard. Love?

"L-love?" I asked her, frowning as I looked at her. "What do you mean?" She frowned as she looked up at me.

"You love him, right?"

"He's my maker," I told her and frowned. "That's all...." She tilted her head and then looked at Lyle before she looked at me.

"Just your maker?" She asked, looking unsure.

"Yeah, that's all," I promised her, earning a small smile.

"Well, that's a relief. This is easily fixable then," she purred and then glanced back at Lyle like she was checking on him before she started to tug me further away from him. "I want to show you something... something not many fledglings get to see," she purred to me. "Lyle won't mind if I take you away from the ball for a few minutes." I frowned at her. He would.... Wouldn't he? I went to protest, but she had already pulled me out of the room, shutting the door behind me before she looked up at me. "He won't even notice either," she told me. "After all, he's got all those girls hanging on him," she purred softly, making me flinch a little as a painful twinge went through me. She smiled at me and rubbed my cheek, looking me in the eyes. "Come on sweetie, let me show you, please?" She kissed my neck softly and then gently started to lead me down the hall as I was too busy hurting to say anything. She was right. He wouldn't notice my disappearance....

She led me to a room and took me inside, flipping on the lights to reveal a living room set up and smiled at me, taking me over to the couch and sat me down as I stared at the floor blankly in pain. She purred at me and kissed my cheek. "Would you like to talk about it?" She asked me softly, trailing her fingers down my back. "After all... what I'm about to show you..." she started and I suddenly felt a tingle run through me as my body was suddenly numb and I fell over. She smirked at me and crawled on top of me then. "There is no coming back from this. I'm going to fix your pain for you," she promised me, giving me a sweet look before she exposed her fangs. I widened my eyes as I started to panic, not able to feel my body at all. What is she doing?! Oh my go- LYLE! HELP! I tried to open my mouth to scream for him, my heart racing, but I couldn't do anything. Not a single sound escaped from me as she rubbed my cheek and leaned in to my neck, biting into me. I felt a small pain from it, and the sound of her feasting from me reached my ears. She's going to devour me!

Lyle's POV:

"Lyle~" Everest grabbed my arm and purred in my ear in front of the ladies. "Dance with me," he said and then started for my hand, not even asking as he practically stole it from one of the girls.

"O-okay," I pulled him towards the dance floor. "I'll dance with you, brother. Only one dance though, the ladies are waiting."

"Hmm, the ladies huh? They aren't that cute," he said, glancing towards them as they groaned in irritation. "Milo is way better than most of them.... He smells better too." He smiled and then stopped when we reached the floor, pulling me into his arms with his hand in the small of my back to lead me. "Besides, we both know that you're gay."

"I know but the ladies still want their dance... If I'm gay or not. They're hoping to persuade me other wise," I whispered to him, my eyes going towards my brother Silas and his new fledgling. My eyes were distracted instantly though as my eyes landed on a male eyeing me down with a sharp look. His eyes were beckoning me to go to him. He was dressed in a white and red coordinated suit. His hair was pushed back on one side while the other fell in his face. His hair was brown and curly. His hair reminded me of dark chocolate. His eyes seemed as sharp as a hawk, the color of purple. A light lavender color. Everest glanced towards him and raised an eyebrow towards me then smirked.

"You should go to him after this dance. He seems more your speed, not too innocent," he told me then winked. "I'll take Milo."

"You know you can't have my sweet fledgling," I purred towards Everest as I kept my eyes on the hawk staring me down. He did look attractive... but Milo... "I am going to go to him though," I decided. "He looks like he'll snap if I ignore him." He laughed a little and nodded.

"Fair enough, but if you end up swinging more his way..." he teased me with a playful smirk and exposed his fangs.

"I'll never approve of those fangs coming anywhere near my fledgling," I teased him and looked towards Everest, exposing my own fangs. He laughed.

"Not even for a mark?" He asked me, giving me a playfully innocent look.

"That's exactly why I fazed it that way." I slowed down with following his feet. "Who said you could lead me in a dance?" I gave a playful smirk. He smirked at me and then kissed my cheek.

"I did, brother," he purred and then forced me to move to his pace, leading me firmly. "I asked."

"I'm the king though," I muttered and blushed lightly.

"And I'm a prince. Besides, no one is going to care in the end who was leading who, just who is going to who's room.... Speaking of rooms~ I need to go to Sylar's after this." He smirked thoughtfully. "I hope we're watching something good."

"Be prepared. He's our youngest brother. He might make you watch Dora the Explorer." I laughed at the thought of him doing that, he did it a lot when we were younger. He always made us watch anything he could find on the human channels for kids to make us feel more normal. "I think he just wants more attention though. He's the youngest and is always fighting for a spot to be with us. That little wallflower should pick up the joy of dancing though. He's not going to find his mate not dancing at events like this."

"I will work with him," he whispered to me and then stopped as the song ended. "I'm going to go ahead and go to him.... Be safe okay? These girls and boys are savages," he teased then kissed my cheek before he disappeared, leaving me stranded. My eyes flickered across the room to find Silas. He was off to the side, pulling Stormy with him towards the blood bowls. He looked like he was enjoying himself for once. She really was bringing out a better side in him. I felt a little pleased by that and had my eyes flicker to the waiting mysterious hawk watching me. I started for him reached out my hand to greet him.

"King Lyle Rosario," I purred. "It's a pleasure setting my eyes on you." His hand reached out and grasped mine.

"Pleasures all mine," he gave me a sharp smile as we shook hands. "I didn't know the Rosario family has a young king..." His eyes scanned me. "Sorry to hear you're crowned earlier then expect."

"No need." I tugged my hand away from him and studied his playful smile. "I haven't caught your name."

"No you haven't, have you?" He laughed as his eyes scanned my body downwards, checking me out. "I caught you dancing... perhaps you'll take the next dance with me."

"Perhaps I will," I smiled and held out my hand for his again. He grabbed my hand and started to lead me to the middle of the floor.

"I've come to escort you to Mr. K.V's castle after tonight's ball. I take it you'll be bringing an extra along?"

"My fledgling Milo," I told him quickly. "You know who Mr. K.V. Is?"

"Yes, I do." He smirked as his arms wrapped around me and he started to lead me in a dance. "My name is Aurelio Vorhaus."

"Your last name is Vorhaus," I said quickly. "Are you related to the mysterious Mr. K.V.?" I asked.

"No."

"How did you know I would be here?"

"Coincidence." He smirked as his hand rested against my back. "Lyle, your features are extraordinary. Your blood red eyes lure me into admiring you even more." I caught his scent suddenly, the luring scent of a wizard was covered by a perfume of rose fragrance.

"You're a..."

"Yes, a dime of a dozen. I'm a wizard. Mr. K.V. is a friend of mine and I was asked to make sure you get to his castle safely. Safely you shall arrive at his castle." His fingers caressed my back and touched my spine softly before he separated from me. "I think I'll go enjoy the punch bowl," he yawned out and started to leave me as quickly as he came. I stood there started by him for a minute. It's a rare treat to meet a wizard...

"Where's your spunky sister and that little fledgling of yours?" I heard Jason ask as he appeared in my sight. "It's like they disappeared. I hope one of them isn't sinking their flesh into another's neck without permission."

"Heh, that'd be disastrous," I heard Primrose say, walking up to us and smirked. "After all, it'd look bad on you. We might just have to have a council meeting to punish them if they are breaking the rules that you set."

"I assure you," I started and stopped talking quickly. I felt a sudden rush as my connection to Milo was stolen from me. I froze up and clenched my jaw as anger consumed me.

"What was that?" Jason asked.

"Oh, he assured us, but that look on his face says otherwise~" Primrose said and laughed a little. "I bet Milo just took a trip, didn't he?"

"Worse," I hissed through my teeth and scanned the room for Milo or my sister.

"Worse? Is he dead?" She asked with a frown, actually looking like she cared for once. She knew it was terrible to find your fledgling dead. She glanced around and grabbed Jason's hand, whispering that they should help me find them. I couldn't see either of them, and they seemed like they had completely fallen out of existence... completely gone.

"My connection to Milo disappeared," I informed both of them with worry. Jason's eyes scanned the room then before they snapped towards me.

"I'll alert my siblings as well as my servants. Other then that we won't cause panic just yet." Jason stalked away then towards the waiting servants against a wall. I felt my feet carrying me out the room to search for Milo, dread filling my body along with anger. Primrose walked up and gently took my hand in hers.

"I can go look for you myself if you'd like... or I can give you a reason to leave the room without it being too suspicious," she whispered to me, watching my expression.

"It doesn't matter what the others think right now," I told her. "I need to find Milo. He's my fledgling and if anything happens it's me who will be punished. It's my responsibility. He is my only concern." I yanked my body away from hers. She nodded and then looked towards Jason before she went to join him, talking to him with the servants as they were discussing what I told them. I disappeared from the room, knowing the girl's eyes had followed me out the doors. They were curious, I could sense it. I started down the hall, following the faint scent of my sister and Milo. I eventually came across a door far away from the ballroom where his blood was scented the strongest. She had bit him... and stolen him from me. I could hear a small whimper from in the room, coming from him then my sister's soft purr.

"Shh, calm down, you don't have to drink so much like that.... You'll get sick," she mumbled, probably feeding him her blood after draining him. I felt a growl growing in my throat.

"Esther," I hissed her way as I stopped in the door frame. She glanced my way and then widened her eyes slightly from where she had Milo's head laying in her lap, feeding her blood to him from her wrist. I could tell from the way his body was laying limp that she had used her powers on him to paralyze him momentarily. "That's. My. Fledgling." I hissed as my fangs exposed. "You're a disgrace to my family name. How dare you steal my own fledgling from me." She looked me over and I could smell her fear as she saw me pissed. She quickly pulled her wrist from Milo's lips and looked away from me, adverting her eyes in shame.

"He was hurt," she mumbled softly.

"Now you're going to lie to my face," I snarled.

"He really was hurt," she told me quickly, looking up at me. "He was upset when the girls were after you... and he said something about it being because he was your fledgling or along those lines. I thought it might help him.... Besides, I really like Milo," she told me and then looked at him, a sad look in her eyes. "I haven't run, have I? Wouldn't someone who meant ill to both you and Milo have ran as soon as they could've when you came?"

"You have guilt written all over your face. I can smell the fear radiating off of you. He's paralyzed and your powers can do that. You're feeding him your blood. I can no longer feel my ties with him. I can smell his blood all over the room. I bet if I was to drink from you right now his blood would still be running in your veins." I sniffed the air then, catching her scent. "You even smell like his maker. You're a traitor. You know I want to be his maker. No matter how much you try to play innocent and dumb you know how much he means to me. He's my first fledgling and I would never give him up to anyone. How dare you steal him from me. Just because you think this doesn't effect us in an ill manor... it does. You have wounded not only me from stealing him but my own innocent fledgling. I should rip your fangs out and burn you at dawn for what you've done. I'm the king, you should have shown more respect towards me then this. You've crossed the line." I felt rage surging up in me. I was furious. It was boiling inside me. I could snap at any second if she answers me wrongly. I'll be prepared to end her. Sister or not. She had flinched slightly at my words, but she took a deep breath then looked towards me, an apologetic look in her eyes before she nodded. She gently moved Milo out of her lap and then knelt down on the ground, bowing her head in resignation like she was going to accept her punishment. She knew what she did.... I could see a slight trembling in her shoulders, but she was keeping herself still, being brave.

"Get out," I hissed her way. "Don't ever let me see your face in my castle again." I glared her down. "Be grateful that I'll give you a mild punishment for this." She looked up at me, relief flooding through her eyes as love replaced her fear. A few tears slipped from her eyes as she lost her composure and she got to her feet quickly. She smiled and wiped her tears away, quickly leaving the room before I could change my mind about letting her go. I looked towards my fledgling and walked up slowly towards him.

"Milo," I whispered. He looked up towards me tiredly, looking relieved at seeing me. I could tell he was straining his body a little as he was fighting off the last remaining hold of her powers on him since how she could hold someone down for at least an hour after touching them. "I'm sorry," I whispered. "I should have kept you more in my sight. Never again." I scooped him up into my arms. "You're going to be mine again, I promise." He let out a small whimper, looking up at me longingly before he managed to get his finger to twitch. He glanced towards my shoulder where he liked to lay his head for comfort and then up at me. I walked us up to a wall and leaned him up against it before leaning my weight against his body and leaned my head into his neck. I bit down into him and started to drain him to gain my precious fledgling back under my power. When I had the disgusting taste of my sister and her hold on him out of my mouth I gave him my wrist to bite into. He looked towards it and then at me before he managed to move enough to bite me and started to drink my blood, taking it slow. I could feel his body tensing up before he managed to move his hand up to my wrist, holding it gently as her powers were wearing off more. I watched him firmly, holding back my anger that was still boiling inside of me. After a few minutes, he started to smell normal again, and I could feel our bond reestablishing itself as he became mine again. He pulled back from my wrist and then looked towards me before he quickly wrapped his arms around my neck, burying his face into me as he started to cry.

"Lyle," he whimpered and clung to me like he'd never let go. I felt my anger crack and I wrapped my arms around him, tightening him to me.

"Milo," I purred and started to carry him out of the room. He nuzzled his face closer to me as he curled his fingers into my hair tightly.

"Please don't ever let me go," he begged softly, his voice trembling as his body shook. I could feel his heart racing in his chest.

"Never," I promised him quickly. He pulled back from my chest and looked up at me, his eyes searching mine. He calmed down slightly, still keeping his fingers tightly curled in my hair. "I'll never be able to forgive her for what she done," I hissed in anger. He watched me and then leaned his face into my neck, his body still trembling as he pressed himself closer to me. I pulled him closer and took in his scent, feeling relieved he was mine again. He let out a soft moan as I breathed in his scent and then pulled back slightly from my neck to look up at me. He looked up at me, and I could see something faint in them... like love, just pure innocent love. It was hard to tell if that was it though.... I looked him over with slight interest with the love I was catching in his eyes. He faintly blushed as he watched me and then he kissed my cheek before he went to rest his head on my shoulder in his favorite spot. I felt my heart flutter a little at his kiss suddenly the room grew warmer. He purred softly in happiness as he relaxed a little, loosening up on my hair before he gently played with it, sighing softly. I felt his breath hit my neck, sending a slight shiver through me. I looked towards my precious fledgling and kissed the top of his head. I think I might be falling for him. I definitely never want to loose him. He glanced up at me and gave me a sweet smile before he laughed a little.

"Can we go to our room? I don't want to go back to the ball," he said softly, watching me hopefully. "I'm feeling a little weak too."

"Of course, we can go take a nap in our room," I whispered to him and started to head in that direction. He nodded and then moved a little against me, adjusting himself so he could look around a little better.

"We don't have to leave tonight, do we?" He asked and then looked back at me curiously.

"We do," I told him quickly. "There is a guest waiting to escort us to the castle." He frowned but nodded.

"Mkay," he said cutely and then looked back at me sweetly. He purred and met my eyes, watching them for a few seconds before he smiled at me.

"We can have this moment alone together though," I whispered to him. He nodded and then kissed my cheek again.

"I'd love for it to just be us for awhile," he mumbled, gently tugging on my hair before he played with it again.

"Until we need to go," I promised him softly. He nodded again and then purred softly, glancing around the hall until we reached our room. He laughed and got the door for me so I wouldn't have to set him down. I walked into the room and used my foot to shut the door behind me. I walked us over to the bed and laid him down on it then got in with him. He looked towards me and purred, moving closer before he snuggled his way into my side, wrapping his arms around me. He mumbled something under his breath, but I couldn't catch it as he rested his head on my chest. "What was that?" I asked softly. He blushed and looked up at me then smiled shyly.

"I said that I'm glad that I'm your fledgling," he whispered to me, "and I love you. You're the only maker I want." He watched me with that innocent look, and I could tell he didn't mean I love you in the romantic way at the moment. I gave him a loving look.

"I love you too," I purred and kissed the top of his head. "You're the only fledgling I'll ever have." His eyes widened a little and I felt him tighten his grip slightly.

"Do you really mean it?" He asked me, looking hopeful.

"Of course I do," I purred to him. He blushed and then kissed my cheek.

"Thank you," he whispered. "I don't think I could share you with another fledgling."

"You're going to be the only one, I promise." He smiled at me sweetly at that.

"Okay," he purred and then looked me over before he crawled chest, laying down on me. I started to run my fingers through his hair to sooth him. He relaxed almost immediately and looked like he liked me playing with his hair, closing his eyes in pleasure. I purred and closed my eyes.

"You really love me?" I asked curiously.

"Uh huh," he hummed sweetly. "I love you." I heard his heart speed up a little as he said it and nuzzled his head against my chest. "I really do love you."

"How much do you love me?" I asked. He picked his head up and looked towards me, blushing.

"H-how much?" He asked me softly. His heart started to race at the question.

"Yes, I want to know." I looked him in the eyes then.

"A-a lot," he whispered and blushed a deep shade of red.

"How big is a lot?" I asked playfully. He shrunk against me and then hid his face in my chest.

"A lot," he mumbled again, his voice coming out muffled as he hid.

"Yeah but how big is that?" I started to poke his sides. He giggled and then fell off of me.

"Lyle~" He laughed and looked up at me sweetly, reaching for my hands to stop me. I stopped and looked him over.

"Well?" I asked. He blushed as he watched me.

"W-well... I don't think I've ever really actually... loved someone like this," he mumbled to me. "I don't really know how to describe it..." He looked a little nervous as he said it. "Is that normal?"

"No, I'm interested in this discovery for you... tell me more?" I asked and purred to him. He widened his eyes then.

"It's not normal?" He asked me quickly.

"Maybe," I teased him. "We'll never know." He frowned a little and then bit his bottom lip.

"Well... I don't like it when I'm not close to you," he admitted softly, watching me. "I feel safer near you too... and I'm happier than I used to be.... I didn't like those girls taking my place tonight either," he mumbled, looking away from me.

"You got jealous?" I teased him. He blushed and looked at me.

"Y-yeah," he whispered softly then sat up, running a hand through his hair nervously. "I guess I did...."

"If it makes you feel better I only danced with two others tonight. One of them was related to me." He nodded and looked towards me before he sighed softly and laid back down beside me. He watched me for a few seconds before he rolled over and pulled his pillow close to him, snuggling up to it. I grabbed his body and pulled him closer to me. He yelped and blushed, looking up towards me then slowly let his pillow go, replacing it with me as he wrapped his arms around me again. I purred to him in amusement. He watched me before he looked towards my neck then at me.

"Can I?" He asked me sweetly, biting his lower lip.

"You may," I purred and exposed my neck for him. He looked back at it and then leaned in towards my neck, going to bite me then paused. He changed his mind and gently kissed my neck, resting his head under my chin with a purr. "You're not going to bite me?" I asked.

"I don't want you to get too weak," he mumbled softly. "I already ended up drinking from you today... and yesterday...."

"You're probably right about that. I need to keep my strength for our travel to the other castle." I nodded with deep thought. He nodded and then looked up towards me before he kissed my cheek, accidentally getting near my lips. I blushed slightly and looked towards him. "Milo," I whispered. "I want to tell you something." He blushed as he looked where his kiss landed then up into my eyes.

"Y-yes?" He asked me, moving a little closer to me.

"It's something you have to promise it won't get out to others. It'll stay between us." I whispered, sure enough I could trust and tell him. He frowned a little before he nodded.

"Okay," he whispered to me. "I won't tell anyone. I promise." I sat us up then and moved out of bed, starting to check the room for anything that could sign that we were being listened in on or being recorded. When I found nothing I checked outside the door before coming back to him and sitting down.

"Are you ready to know?" I whispered. He bit his bottom lip and nodded.

"Yeah?" He asked and then pulled the blanket closer to him as he stayed sitting up, watching me curiously.

"The only ones that know this is Silas, myself, and now you... I was adopted." I whispered softly, still paranoid at taking the chance of telling him out loud. His eyes widened a little and he looked at me thoughtfully, staying quiet for a few minutes before he crawled over and hugged me.

"How come the others don't know about it? I mean... you probably couldn't have been king if they did know though," he whispered quietly to me, sitting in my lap as he looked at me with a slight frown. "Is that why Silas acts so mean to you?"

"Yeah, if the others find out then he would be given the crown and I wouldn't even be crowned a prince. You know how Silas is, imagine him as king. That's why my parents made sure no one would find out and I could be able to rule instead of him. They were murdered by hunters though a few years back and I was crowned quicker than expected. Silas can't understand why I'm king and he never will be." Milo bit his bottom lip and then nodded.

"I think I get it.... I would hate to be ruled by someone like Silas," he whispered to me. "You're a better king than he could be. I won't tell the others about this, I promise."

"I trust you won't," I said softly. "This is something hard for me to admit. Now that you know- if Silas finds out you know he would manipulate this situation into getting exactly what he wants... Your word and his rein." He frowned a little then but nodded. He watched me for a few seconds before he pulled me into a hug. He gently kissed my cheek and soothingly rubbed my back.

"I swear you'll stay on your throne," he mumbled to me.

"I know I will, I trust you with this information.... You won't betray me."

"Never," he said quickly, looking at me with that small hint of love I had seen before. I looked him over with a loving sight. He blushed as he watched me and then I caught him glancing towards my lips curiously before he frowned slightly and started to move off my lap. I pulled him back and leaned halfway towards his lips. He blushed a deep shade of red as he watched me, looking me over. "I-I'm... I'm not gay," he told me softly, giving me a nervous smile. I frowned slightly and pulled back.

"Sorry, I thought you were interested...." I blushed and let him go. He blushed as he watched me and I saw a sort of regret in his eyes before he bit his bottom lip and then glanced towards his place on the bed then back at me, not moving. He hugged me and then shyly looked towards my lips again before he leaned in slightly like he was curious still before he looked up into my eyes and then blushed, giving me a small kiss. I tensed up slightly as he kissed me before deepening the kiss and pulling him closer to me. He gasped a little as I did and then he hesitated then kissed me back, losing himself a little in it. I growled playfully in the kiss and arranged us to put him on his back with me on top. I heard his heart starting to pick up the pace as he shyly kissed me back and then wrapped his arms around my neck, playing with my hair a little as he gently pulled me closer. I snuck my fingers up his shirt and started to caress his body. He gasped and moaned softly in the kiss, arching his back at my touch. I pulled back from the kiss and looked him over. "Do you want to get into something more comfortable?" I asked curiously. He blushed a deep shade of red and looked up at me.

"U-uhm... yeah?" He laughed nervously and then glanced at our clothes, noticing I was still in my tailcoat and he was still in his suit. "Yeah."

"I'll let you go first, you can take a bath as well." I encouraged. "We have to leave soon after all." He nodded and started to sit up, pushing up on my chest to do so before he quickly escaped, going for his bag and then took it towards the bathroom, going in and shutting it behind him. I laid down on the bed to wait for him, biting my bottom lip. He kissed me... he actually kissed me. So he's still uncertain about his sexuality? Maybe he'll see that he likes me. I like my fledgling..... Oh boy. I heard the water start up for the shower after a few minutes. I looked towards the door. I wonder what he's thinking.... It didn't take him long to come out of the shower and he walked out in a pair of comfortable sweat pants and a black tank top. He gave me a small smile as he walked over then crawled into the bed on his side, curling up. "I won't be long." I got to my feet and went into the closet, getting a more comfortable look out to wear for the ride, grabbing blue jeans and a nice plaid shirt with vans. This will be the most casual clothes I will ever wear. I took them to the bathroom and took a quick shower and changed into them. When I walked back out to Milo there was a maid coming in with two bottles of blood as well as two butlers following.

"We were instructed to give you this as well as get your bags ready to leave," the maid told me.

"Who instructed you?" I asked curiously.

"One of your siblings earlier," she handed us our bottles before they disappeared into the closet. I sat down by Milo and opened the bottle. He looked towards his and sat up before he opened it and started to sip on it. He blushed slightly as he glanced my way then looked back at his bottle of blood, choosing to focus on it. I downed the bottle and sat it aside.

"Do you like my casual side?" I asked and smirked. He looked up towards me and smiled.

"It doesn't look bad on you. It's a nice change," he told me and then laughed a little, taking another sip of his bottle before he finished it off and set it down. He licked his lips clean and then stretched a little. I got to my feet and reached out for his hand.

"Time to go." He looked towards my hand and then smiled, taking it before he got to his feet. He giggled and then gently gave my hand a squeeze with a cute look before he walked towards the door with me, bouncing a little. I pulled him off to go find the vehicle waiting for us outside, finding this castle hard to find my way around.

"So do we know why he wants to see you?" Milo asked me curiously, glancing around the halls a little before he looked up at me. "Or is it a mystery?"

"I don't know, I only got an invitation." I purred. "It's a mystery." He nodded and then looked me over before he smiled innocently and moved a little closer to me.

"The guest that is supposed to be taking us is waiting, right?"

"Probably," I purred. "We'll have to see or go without him." He nodded and then tugged me towards a door as we found the way out to the car, seeing it before me.

"There we go," he said sweetly and then walked me over towards the car. This car was just like the one from earlier today we were in. We had to travel a full day again. I pulled him inside it and curled up with him, finding the mysterious Aurelio Vorhaus already inside, watching a youtube video. Milo glanced towards him and then snuggled up to me, already looking a little tired. He wrapped his arms around me and then rested his head on my chest, smiling happily.

"This is Mr. Aurelio Vorhaus and this is Milo Tomas Young." I made sure to introduce the both of them.

"Hello Milo, I love your work." Aurelio paused his video to glance our way. "You seem tired. Please feel free to get some rest while we travel to K.V's castle." Milo looked towards him and smiled a little.

"Thank you Mr. Vorhaus," he said politely. "It's nice to meet you.... I love your eyes," he mumbled and then relaxed a little beside me, watching him a little with interest.

"Seems like we both have interest in one another," he said calmly and pulled out headphones. "Don't let me be rude and keep you both awake. If you need anything during the ride, let me know."

"He's a wizard," I whispered to Milo. Milo's eyes widened a little and his breath caught as he looked Aurelio over and then looked up at me, awed.

"That's so cool," he whispered back and then glanced at Aurelio one last time before he returned his attention back to me and pulled a blanket closer to us before he draped it over us and then kissed my cheek quickly.

"I haven't taught you this, it's believed wizards and witches created the supernatural." I purred to Milo.

"Every wizard now is descended from the wizards who were there when they created the extras. Some say they done it to please the devil and give him a one up. God only has the humans while the devil has the witches, wizards, and now the supernatural. Sort of funny, right? Well it would be if god and the devil actually existed. Turns out there isn't either. No, its quite different for the afterlife. That's a long story. You might be able to under stand by me mentioning the void vs reincarnation." Milo frowned slightly and looked towards Aurelio curiously.

"The void sounds kinda... well..." he frowned more and then shrunk into me. "So the supernatural are damned huh?"

"Well at the beginning humans thought of themselves as good while the different- the wizards and witches were bad news. You are apart of the damned because of that." Aurelio chuckled. "No the truth is we created you guys to help us blend in more with the humans." Milo nodded and relaxed, smiling.

"Okay," he said sweetly, giving Aurelio a huge smile before he closed his eyes and snuggled up to me. "I'm glad supernatural exist though.... The human world would be so boring without them." He yawned and then started to quiet down, his body right up against mine as he breathed softly, his sweet, intoxicating scent that drew you in enveloping me.

"Yes, we brought a lot of superstition to humans. Now days they don't know anything about what truly exists amongst them and what doesn't."

"It's a good thing they don't know," I said quickly. "It would be hard to hide if they knew. We'd all be in trouble. Vampires being brought out of their coffin and forced into the sun because we're part of the damned...." I trailed off.

"Tough life," Aurelio mused. Milo sighed softly and then rested his face against my neck.

"I don't miss the sun at all," he mumbled under his breath.

"You're not missing much." Aurelio told us. I felt the vehicle moving now, beginning our travel. "Rest well." He put the headphones in then and went back to his youtube. I could faintly pick up the sounds of the video. I wrapped Milo up in my arms to give him better comfort. He relaxed a lot more at my touch and then nuzzled his head further into the crook of my neck, purring softly as he started to drift off to sleep in my arms. I could feel the sun coming up as the ride progressed, sleep engulfing me as well.
