CHAPTER 12

The ground underneath their feet started to crumble. There were over a dozen guards chasing running after them. under the fence their was a hole created. It wasn't too deep, there was just enough room for the two of them to fit. Harley smiled as they jumped down into the hole.

Then they jumped out on the other side. Harley looked back at the guards who were getting closer. Ivy swung her into her arms and ran. They felt so free as the wind blew through their hair. Harley looked into Ivy's beautiful green eyes. Ivy didn't even notice she was too busy running. But, Harley could tell she was weak.

"Ivy, you won't last long. You don't have enough strength." She exclaimed. "I'm fine. But, we need to get out of here." She refused to admit that she was weak.

"I know a place we can go. Just let me take you!" Harley yelled.

"Okay, where is it?" She asked.

"It's not far from here actually. First, we need to get farther away from these bozos so they don't find us. Do you think you can make some kind of vine or some-thin?"

"I think I can make something better then that." Ivy smirked.

"Well, what is it?" Ivy stopped and turned around. She looked at the guards with no merecy. Then, her eyes glowed bright and a small root started to grow from the ground. It grew and grew until it was giant. It knocked over the guards and surrounded them so that they couldn't see Harley and Ivy.

Ivy huffed out a breath and ran with Harley still in her arms. "Nice work!" Harley said excitedly.

"It won't hold them for long. So, where are we going?"

"You'll see. Let me help you walk. You won't get far in the state you're in."

"I don't need help." Ivy lied.

Without thinking, Harley cupped her face. "I want to help you, Ivy. Just, please let me help you. Please." She exclaimed.

"Fine." Ivy gave in.

She set Harley down and they hung on to eachother as they ran. Eventually, they arrived, It was a beautiful hill side with a nice view of Gotham City. All the buildings were filled and the cars were honking their horns. The people were crowding the streets too. It was a busy day like usual. The sun was practically glowing orange.

"Wouldn't it be nice to start chaos without bats show-in up? He always comes to ruin our fun." Harley exclaimed as the two sat down on the soft grass.

"He'll be looking for us you know." Ivy said.

"For now, lets not talk about him." Harley smiled.

"So, where are you gonna go after this?"

"What? So were not stick-in together? But, we have to. Were in this together now, were a team."

"Sorry, Quinn, I've got plans of my own."

"Like what?" Harley asked.

Ivy sighed. She laid back in the grass with her hands behind her head. "Do I have to explain everything to you?"

Harley laid beside her. "I have no idea what I'm gonna do. I just thought that we could be partners in crime again. Like the old days. It was just Harley and Ivy."

"It was fun while it lasted. We got to do it one last time but now we can finally go our seperate ways."

Harley felt a little dissapointed when she heard her say that. Then, she turned to look at Ivy. "But it ended so soon. Can we have one more last time?" She smiled.
