Meeting The Ultimates

When Jason woke up, he was sitting in a classroom. However, Jason immediately discovered a big change. His memories of being a chess player in this world are gone!

While he can still remember being a chess player in his former life, he can't remember his life as a chess player in this world. He can still remember his family, and normal things he did as a child, but everything related to chess is gone.

'That's weird... it can't be a normal amnesia, but it's as if someone deliberately erased specific memories... there's also the fact that I don't remember getting into this class. The last thing I remember is taking a step into the school building, and when I did that, I fainted, and woke up here. But I don't remember smelling any gas in the air when I fainted, nor I can't remember someone knocking me out... the situation is very weird, but for now, I need to assess the situation. There is a big chance that this is the life and death situation which God spoke about, so I have to pay attention to every detail...' Jason thought, and then started to inspect the classroom which he was in.

The first thing he noticed, was the thick metal platings that were covering what he assumed was the windows. The metal plates were bolted to the wall, making them stuck in their place. Next, he noticed a surveillance camera and monitor in the class. And finally, he noticed a small note on the desk which he slept on. The note said to gather at the entrance at 8:00 AM. Jason looked at the clock and saw it was already 8:05 AM, so he decided to go and find the entrance, as the note was probably put there by the person who was responsible for what's going on, and figured he will get some answers from him.

As he exited the classroom, he saw more metal plantings, which made Jason assume that all of the windows in the building he was in were covered by the same metal plantings. As he walked through the hallway, he heard some voices from what he assumed was the entrance and walked through the doors that led to it, and was greeted by numerous individuals speaking among each other.

He saw 15 teens, probably the same age as him. He also recognized some of the teens, as some of them were also teens famous for their talent like him, which made him assume that the teens in front of him were the other Ultimates. The first one to notice him was a black-haired girl, whose hair was styled into two large twin-drill pigtails, and also had a white lace-bonnet with white ribbons on her head. She had pale skin, red eyes, and long black nails. She was wearing a white blouse with a long-point collar, a white ribbon tied around her neck, a black jacket that includes white ribbon lacing down the sleeves, fastened by a simple white ribbon across her chest to reveal her red tie, and the waist of her skirt, which is many-tiered and features white lace. She also was wearing knee-high stockings trimmed in ladder lace.

When she noticed him, the girl said:

"It seems that another person has arrived..." she said, gaining the attention of the other teens

"You are five minutes late! That is unacceptable from a high-school student!!" a black-haired haired boy shouted on him. He had short, spiky black hair, and red eyes. He wore a military-style white Japanese school male uniform. He also wore a red, black, and white armband on his left hand and knee-high black lace-up boots.

"Be a little more quiet, will you? I just woke up in a classroom, so I couldn't be anything but late" Jason said, clearly annoyed by the black-haired teen

"You too?" asked a little girl in a low voice. The girl had a small, lithe stature and doll-like appearance with short, light brown layered hair and hazel colored eyes. She wore a girls' winter school uniform set, featuring a long-sleeved dark green jacket, a white shirt with a large Peter Pan collar secured with a thin dark ribbon, a box-pleated, mid-thigh length brown skirt, and knee-high black socks.

"Does that mean that it happened to all of you as well?" Jason asked

"Yes, but there's no need to worry! Everything will be fine, as long as we stick together!" said a brunette optimistically. The girl styled her hair in a curled ponytail. She had tanned skin, blue eyes, and an hourglass-shaped figure. She wore Hope's Peak Academy-branded blue athletic shorts, a red tracksuit jacket over a white tank top, white knee-high socks, and a red knee brace on her right knee.

"Well, I guess I'll introduce myself, for those who don't know me. My name is Jason Harris, and I'm the Ultimate Chess Player" Jason said and looked at the responses of the other Ultimates, to see who knows him, and judge their impressions of him. Some of them looked oblivious, indicating that they either knew he'll come to the school, or they don't care who he was. Some looked surprised, indicating that they heard about him, but didn't know he'll attend Hope's Peak Academy.

However, one of the Ultimates's reaction caught his attention. It was Junko Enoshima, who Jason recognized from magazines his mother and sisters read.

Junko Enoshima was the Ultimate Fashionista. She had an hourglass figure, light blue eyes, and long, thick, bleached strawberry blonde hair tied in two twin pigtails. She wore heavy make-up along with fake long red nails. She wore a black cardigan over a white dress shirt, with both left open to the third button to expose the top of her black-and-red bra, a red pleated miniskirt, and mid-sized black boots. She also wore a long black and white tie that hangs loosely around her neck, a thin black choker, a red bow above her left breast, and a set of a rabbit and a large red and white bow hair accessories.

Junko had a shocked and confused expression but quickly switched to a carefree expression, to prevent anyone from noticing, but Jason noticed.

'Junko Enoshima, the Ultimate Fashionista... Why would she look shocked and confused? Maybe we met before, but she didn't know who I am? No, I would've remembered if I met her...

No, it's very suspicious. Aside from it, I can see she wears a wig, and she pads her chest, and her face looks different than in magazines, as, in the magazines, she has light blue eyes, not grey, and her eyes are also less round and more slanted than in magazines, and she didn't have freckles in the magazines too... she isn't the real Junko Enoshima unless they did a very big photoshop, which I found unlikely, considering she's the Ultimate Fashionista.

The facts that she tries to disguise herself, and looked confused when I said who I am, can mean that she's the one responsible for what's going on here, or perhaps because she disguising herself, I don't recognize her and I did meet her before. There is a chance that maybe I even played against her before, and the memory of her was erased together with the rest of the memories related to my chess career. But, why would she disguise herself? I can think of a couple of reasons, but considering the situation, I can cut it down to three.

One is, that she knows the real Junko Enoshima, and for some unknown reasons, switched places with her.

Another one can be that she's the one who is responsible for what's going on and did something to the real Junko and covering it up by replacing her.

And the last one is that she's cooperating with the one who is responsible, and they did something to Junko, and she replaced her to cover it up and to keep an eye on us...'

Then, before Jason could think more about it, they all heard a sound coming from the monitor, and they looked at the direction of the monitor. The monitor was static at first, but then a silhouette appeared and then they heard a voice saying:

"Ahem! Testing! Testing! This is a test of the school broadcast system! Can everyone hear me? Ok, then! Attention! All the new students, I would like to begin the entrance ceremony right now! Please gather at the gym immediately. I'll be waiting!"

Jason narrowed his eyes when he heard the voice. It had a high-pitched carefree tone, which seemed completely out of place.

He looked around and saw that everyone was fearing the tone which the voice had, except for a couple of students, which included a girl with long lavender hair down with a single braid on her left side, tied with a black ribbon. She had purple eyes and a pale complexion. She wore a dark purple collared jacket over a zipped up long-sleeved white blouse and brown tie. She also wears a black short skirt, heeled knee-high purple boots with equally knee-high light purple socks. She also wore a custom-made black studded gloves, which raised a slight suspicion in Jason.

The black-haired girl from before also remained calm, or at least, from the outside, as Jason couldn't read neither her expression or her body language at all. It seemed that this girl was someone who was a master in hiding how she truly thinks and feels, which let Jason to think that she was probably Celestia Ludenberg, the Ultimate Gambler. He read in the forums about who is going to be in the school, and that's how he knows the titles and names of the students.

Another student who remained calm was a blond teen. He had short, dirty blond hair, blue eyes, and wears white-framed glasses. He had a tall figure, with considerably long legs. He wore a black suit, with a white shirt underneath, a dark green crossover tie, and a black belt. He had an aura of arrogance around him, which made Jason think that this was probably Byakuya Togami, the Ultimate Affluent Progeny, which he also read about in the forums

Then, Jason was about to leave, when a tall teen asked in an angry tone:

"Where do you think you're going to!?" asked the teen. The teen had dark brown hair, that was styled as a punch perm with a styled-1960s pompadour. He had slightly tanned skin and a tall, muscular build which gave him a bulky figure. He had a deep-ridged black eye-line circling his purple eyes, which gave him an intimidating appearance for the normal person. He wore a high-collared black long overcoat, worn open over a white A-shirt. He wears baggy black pants held up by a belt. Considering his appearance and attitude, Jason assumed that he was Mondo Owada, the Ultimate Biker Gang Leader.

"I'm going to the gym. It's the only way to gain information about what is going on here" Jason said and left
